  1. was at the meeting last night and despite the weather saw some good racing the highlight being Kennetts manouvre to come from last to 1st awesome ride. Redcar are a very solid side from 1 - 7 and one of the big differences was there reserves getting paid 20pts between them compared to the 2pts the berwick reserves managed between them.I expected Summers and the one that got away Dyer to be amongst the points but Ostergaard really looks as though he is enjoying his speedway again. For the bandits Kennett put in a brilliant display and there ware also battling performances from Bellego and Wethers little bit suprised with Kozzas performance as he has been riding well lately while for Aspegren, Barrett, & Starke it was not to be as i say i enjoyed the meeting despite the result and i wish Redcar all the best in there efforts to get an airfence in place for next season.
  2. Weather fine at the moment fingers crossed it stays that way for any heathens fans coming up visit the black and gold club next to the stadium
  3. quite suprised as Dudley normally have good away support in fact Mr Pearson reckoned there could be about 100-150 make the trip up.
  4. Enjoyable meeting some good racing as for Ben Barker gave a masterclass on how to ride the track brilliant performance
  5. Be nice to see a few ippo fans actually make the journey up can never understand how fans never seem to support there teams at saturday night tracks nice little weekend trip berwick saturday newcastle sunday
  6. With Edward Kennett unavailable for this meeting berwick have booked Craig Cook as a guest replacement
  7. Can see berwick getting a result here only worry is lack of track time some of our riders have had since sky meeting
  8. Hotel called the castle next to berwick train station how many is is for
  9. Marriott hotel fully booked may 30/31 cant see prem league 4's and world cup being noved from there normal july dates
  10. reading Newcastle website they have named both Robbo and Kerr in there team as well as McKinna feel sorry for bellego on having to sit this one out although using r/r his rides can only be covered by Wethers & 2 reserves
  11. Regarding Ashworth as far as we are aware Kennett is a short term replacement unti Ricky is fit to ride again whenever that may be.
  12. Had one meeting for berwick at somerset where he was brilliant he is a nice guy and i hope wherever he rides he can start to progress to a reliable points scorer
  13. could well have been a decent turnout of berwick fans if meeting had started at a better time especially with it being a bank holiday monday think there is a bus going but had it been an afternoon meeting meaning we get home at a sensible time think a few more would have ventured across.
  14. should not have to download them especially for a meeting of this stature go round any pub/shop and you will see posters advertising Berwick Rangers games, surely approaching a local printer something could be sorted out and would do no harm for our team sponsors logo to be seen in different outlets.
  15. Regarding promoting the event still to see a poster of any kind in shops pubs workplaces surely the fact we are going to be on sky commercial team should be in peoples faces making sure everybody knows whats happening
  16. Well the Bandits 2013 league campaign finally gets under way with a visit from a much changed Sheffield team. Hopefully the Bandits can get back to winning ways following the dissapointment of the previous 2 home meetings. With Ricky still suffering from concussion Bandits have drafted in Kevin Doolan as a guest. whilst for the Tigers still uncertainty as to whether Simon Stead rides although with his average they can have the pick of available guests. Think the result of this match could hinge on the performances of both teams lower order /reserve riders can just about see Berwick winning this one by 6 - 8pts
  17. Alex is basically a confidence rider saw him at glasgow where he did not have the best of days, speaking to him afterwards he admitted he does not like glasgow track yet last thursday at redcar was a different rider getting stuck in winning heat 2 in a decent time.Hopefully if ricky is not fit to ride this weekend we have time to get a guest which takes away the r/r situation which never seems to benefit us.
  18. Cant believe some of the criticism Mitchell is getting before he even turns a wheel in anger for redcar, at the end of the day give him a few meetings before you judge him he is still only 23 so stil has time on his side to improve. For what its worth the night he rode at somerset as a bandit in 2011 he was brilliant. i hope he does well for Redcar and as has already been said in previous posts he is a nice lad so maybe due a bit of good luck.
  19. in hindsight nicki should have taken alex's place in heat 12 where he was quite capable of winning that heat, and alex should have been put in heat 13 against screeny and james grieves which was always going to be a difficult heat giving nicki a chance to get his breath back.had we got a 3-3 in heat 12 instead of a 1-5 we would have been celebrating a 45-44 victory.however i personally still enjoyed the day and good luck to the new regime at glasgow for 2013.
  20. berwick have a 9-30pm curfew
  21. i attended the night turnout was ok was a good night though nice to see Matty Wethers in attendance
  22. rode for us in 1977 used to help him at away meetings
