I think they will have a few surprises in the line up going by Jayne's comments. I would be surprised if Nick Morris being back happened (if it is possible), but I think Buxton will have a solid top order to back up Ben Taylor on his return, which could mean no Allott & four riders between 5-7 with two 3 pointers at reserve.

I was working on the basis of what Mr Vasey said he had been told that the limit for D/u or d/d has been increased to 5 in which case he could be eligible as his pl ave is 4.44. Heathen79 has asked on another thread as too whether this now makes Morris along with Hart & Hughes eligible, still awaiting an answer on that. What Jayne has said today is that anyone under 25 with a pl ave under 5 may also ride NL.

I reckon it could be something like this????? 1.Taylor 8.09 2.McDade 3.Bethell 4.Branford 5.Morris 6.Mcphail 3 7.Another 3 pointer

So your sitting on the fence then .

I wouldn't make you favourites but you have a good chance.

Sheffield & Scunthorpe Nl Team

IMO i would make them clear favourtites but not by much, id put the Heathens, BV, KL & Stoke all joint second favourites. My reasons are 1. Of all the young riders that visited QM last year (outside of morris, branford & garrity) they impressed me the most, and there averages are not inflated by huge home wins & HTA. 2.They now have Cooper as an out & out number 1 who will ave 9+, 3.Increased HTA-Owlerton is a tough track & most visiting riders struggle especially on 1st visits. 4.All the top teams of last year are weaker than last year. 5.And Scunny's riders probably have been practising the most out of all NL riders over the winter. 6.I think home form will be vital dont see many away wins this year, so winning home matches by big points & picking up points away for losing by <6 could be vital. I think as an overall side they are going to be the best at doing that. -

And :D . Great for the NL. Scunny/Sheffield got to be clear favourites now IMO. -

That's my understanding unless they have amended it to prevent anyone with a 4+ pl ave from riding at nl level. Any takers on Andre? -
Thanks to everyone else who answered the question for me. My opinion was based on what ive seen of him (which is only a couple of times) but hes always been competitive, scored & been 100% committed. Hence my description of a him being a good solid signing. He has ability and will at least maintain his average IMO. With TA & Lambert, Vasey & a good racetrack at Stoke, he could be a big improver.

I agree, that also makes logical sense.

Good solid signing

Exactly what i think Ben. I wonder how many will really care about the name come end of season if the team has a chance of finishing in top spot or winning the NL in the play offs. Either way scunny/sheffield or whatever they end up being called will have a great chance. -
I agree i think without question an injury free Garrity will be the rider who makes the biggest improvement this year. I think its going to be tight & very competitive at the top end this year. I think we might have a four or five way battle for top spot this year.

Good signing

seriously isn't that difficult. Well it shouldn't be .

FAIL! How difficult is it to get a name right? If your the BSPA its mission impossible......

Good start for mildenhall team building wise.

Great news . Hope he has a good season after last year. Shame about Charles though

I think the colts might have something too say about that I think they look the best named so far, really solid 1-7. With 5 riders capable of being heat leaders.
-
Great looking side. No out & out number 1, or top level star on paper. I.E. Herne, Lambert, Kurtz, Roynon. But realistically they have 5 riders who should barring injury all hit between 6-8. They have 5 riders capable of realistically being heat leaders & all being matchwinners. They have Garrity who could be a top level star in 2011. Realisitically Garrity, Bekker, Mckinna i would of thought would battle it out for the number 1 spot. Howarth could do too but i dont see as much improvement in him as Garrity. Either way best looking side named so far IMO.

Jus going by what the bspa article said. I found it strange though.
