  1. I didn't mind him because he rode for us but Tommy Roper used to get the wrath of virtually every crowd when we followed the Aces away, he could be a tad dirty when the mood took him. Another mention for Preben Ericksen(sp), never liked him, dirty bugger as my old man used to say.
  2. I know but just taking the situation on it's own, to exclude the lad when he's already carrying the burden of sending Llung over the fence, it was immaterial to the race really. Anyway you're right, I was just feeling sad for the youngster, it's a tough sport and hopefully stays that way.
  3. Maybe the ref took on a bit of compassion for Van Dyck, Llung was out of the race anyway and the young rider must've been feeling it.
  4. Thank you for letting us know that, can't stop worrying about him, terrible crash.
  5. Maybe I have got the wrong track, all Swedes look the same to me Anyway, ht 4 was quite a decent little tussle, nice hard ride from Kurtz.
  6. Have seen some good meetings from this track, here's hoping they can sort it out, not giving anything in terms of racing so far, early days though.
  7. He's just being a pedant, Lambert rides under the Union Flag, end of.
  8. Finish in front of Madsen if Madsen makes the final. or even a point behind him will do, I think....
  9. Just nervous Philip, he's been a revelation in this SEC, totally different rider to previous seasons, not phased by so called bigger better riders, some of his first bend work has been outstanding, been a long while since we had 2 Brits with genuine top table pedigree.
  10. Nice ride from Michelsen, seems like no love lost between him and Madsen, no handshake. I wish Lambert weren't up against Pedersen when points are crucial, going to be interesting
  11. Seeing them remove that burst airfence section was a stark reminder of how it used to be, that concrete fence behind it looked very unforgiving, what a fantastic introduction the airfences were, must have saved plenty of careers.
  12. What a mature first ride from Rob Lambert, twice he chopped the nose off Madsen when he looked up the inside, brilliant start, well done Robert.
  13. Well according to Sam Ermolenko on our commentary feed he's called Veroni, we also learn about Kapashack and Berlingo among many others. Sam speaks another language all of his own.
  14. I was wondering what they might show, do you think they'll just bin speedway and slot something else in?
  15. How old is he? Seems to have been around for years, good to watch in this series so far.
  16. Rob Lambert definitely coming of age this year, got a real determination in his riding, looking good.
  17. Track looking good, shame the camera work isn't doing it justice so far, early days, hopefully they'll get the hang of it.
  18. It's on the border of Woodford & Bramhall but definitely Woodford, it's less than 50 yards from this, https://www.google.com/maps/place/446+Chester+Rd,+Woodford,+Stockport+SK7+1QS/@53.3421522,-2.1614612,3a,75y,183.67h,62.96t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sso0PF5pPonPTdUA6DUACCQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!4m5!3m4!1s0x487a4c909023d741:0x5dce23781b502002!8m2!3d53.3421429!4d-2.1630481 Woodford, Bramhall & Hazel Grove where I'm from, all fall within Stockport Borough. I grew up 3 miles from that house, my dad used to work at AVRO and would often see Ivan in his distinctive bike car, Citroen I think. As an aside, George Best lived just around the corner from Ivan, George's house was often likened to a public toilet, also used to often see him in a yellow Lotus. Anyway, great news about the plaque, I'll be swerving by for a look next time I'm over home.
