Peterborough v Belle Vue - Prem Mon 15th July
nw42 replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Trust me it was painful to watch live last night, must have been even worse for the few in attendance. You're right there were a couple of reasonable races and we have suffered worse nights from elsewhere in recent times, for my part my expectations were high due to the recent track records, I mistakenly thought this would mean good, fast racing, maybe if read some of the Panthers fans posts over recent times I would have lowered my expectations and not been so disappointed with what was served up. -

Not the best of races I've seen from there but here's an example of how it was at the EOS just 13yrs ago, I'm fairly sure this was the meeting where Richard Hall was worth the entrance money on his own, leg trailing round the boards giving it big handfuls of throttle, it really was one of the best tracks we've had in this country. I used to love watching racing from the EOS, the likes of Ryan Sullivan, N Pedersen et al used to generate such speed, it was exhilarating to watch even on tv, on that basis and hearing of track records being broken I was looking forward to tonight's meeting, such a disappointment so far, maybe it will pick up. -

Also, "Dan Bewley gingerly walking back to the pits". Now that is really out of order, needs reporting.- 326 replies

I thought it was a trophy for fastest time of the night, then again....

True but there was too much dross early on to make it anything but a poor evenings viewing..

Great ride from Fricke, hopefully will get him in the semis.

If you're referring to Zagar & Laguta it's just the racecard I have that have them wrong way round, unsure what you are using, I use willstaxi scorcard, spot on every time, until tonight

Heavy weather was forecast, could be a factor.

Because he was riding for his team. No complaints, better team won, still seen some decent racing and that's what really counts after all. -

It's not sunny, does that affect the average? -
In terms of the sport itself she's the most knowledgeable presenter we've had for years, if ever, man or woman.

Good race ht13, Lawson's efforts worth more than a point, great speedway
