  1. It wasn't cheering it was clapping as if they felt their rider had been aggrieved and Ben was getting his just deserts (probably because he got a great gate and the referee pulled it back). That is why I raised it as an issue, which is wrong.
  2. I know they were probably only doing it as an automatic reaction to Morley being excluded and that meant a better chance of points for their riders but it was bad!!!!!
  3. I've heard of the cheering when riders fall off but I can't say it's been evident at the meetings I've attended (even Dudley) but today as I stood on the 1st turn at West Row I actually witnessed the whole of the 1st turn clapping when Ben Morley fell off and hit the fence in Ht 13 and I was astonished. Just saying !!!!!!
  4. I think the biggest surprise would be if any of the guesses were right
  5. That could fit either of Starke, Blackbird or Morris to be fair
  6. Quite right Waco only He is a She Sorry Gustix should explain myself more clearly
  7. You have been doing this a lot longer than me and, I bow to your superiority. I automatically assumed it would be a signing for next season but the seasoned supporter has read more into the title of 'Big Rider News'. I'll go for Max Clegg.
  8. That's great news. If the league loose Dudley then hopefully the Kings fan base will take over.
  9. Maybe the announcement wil be a hint as to what league you maybe in next year?
  10. Which league are you building for and can we have at least 1 Brit in there please????.
  11. If reports are to be believed even Snow off's
  12. Sorry to hear that Bryn. You take care and get well soon
  13. Don't forget a lot of the tickets were sold on Groupon at £8.00.
  14. Barker, King, schlein and Worrall wouldn't have ridden for peanuts. Nichols agreed terms then pulled out for sky glory, don't know what happened to Bridger. Don't agree terms and then pull out if they weren't happy with them. Doolan got injured Bridger pulled out on Friday night and so did Kerr what are they to do do? The original line up was quite different to the one we got, Doolan was supposed to be there but was injured. Do you know for certain that Magnus wasn't asked and couldn't make it? I'm not a fan of Bjerre so can take him or leave him really, I think all told they did the best they could.
  15. Nothing to do with them all living abroad then? and the Freestyle organisers obviously didn't want to fork out for airfares?. Doolan agreed terms but was injured, I think Graverson is on holiday. Next question
  16. If Leicester appeal the appeal will need to be heard and 'ruled on' even if it's not upheld. It's not difficult is it!!!! Another vagary of Speedway a team gets rewarded for not completing it's fixtures whilst in PO position. I can see this becoming another loophole in the rules to be exploited like so many others.
  17. It's going to be a fun night on pro boards with all these teams battling and scratching around for every point.
  18. That's all well and good but what's your point? Injured apparently !!!!
  19. Were you at Scunthorpe? Did you hear Rob G mention that there was going to be a mini classic (olden days) tournament which we may enter? but I believe the matter of play off's. I'm sure the promotion as much as anyone wants to put more meetings on but until Saturday when RH was called off we still had a mathematical chance of making the play off's but I bet there is a plan B. So maybe give the promotion a little more than 24 hours to sort riders staff and track for such a tournament.
  20. I had actually moved on until other posters had continued
  21. Yep I have put money on a Bear thinking that. Funny how it's only Bears coming out to defend it. You didn't actually get there fair and square though 1 meeting outstanding and 1 point awarded ummmmm!!!!!
  22. Would it help for the league champions to get a buy into the PO final then 2 - 7 go through a qualifying system for the other spot? That would also solve the Leicester / Redcar problem. I'm sure the top of the league clubs aren't looking forward to the PO's either as everything is won and lost on the toss of a coin really. How many top of the league teams have actually gone on to win the PO's anyway?
  23. Agree with cutting the play off's down to 4 6 is too many and then the problem would go away. To think the difference between your team being in or out is down to 24 points but having said that we should have done better in the other 23 other meetings and not leave it. We lost our play off place at RH with an extremely unfit Edberg and if he wasn't fit then he shouldn't have returned as he clearly hadn't done 4 laps on a bike till RH and that appeared to continue onto Newcastle. I don't know if he had aggravated the injury as for the Edinburgh match he seem to have improved.
  24. The ironic thing is if it went by points for as opposed to against Leicester would be in the play off's as Redcar would have to score 50 odd points at RH. So I suppose it just wasn't meant to be.
