I think that Promoters these days have little choice but to 'recycle' the Programme. Programmes must cost a fair bit to produce - particularly the excellent Magazine Programme available at Newcastle. Just throwing them away would be financial idiocy. A fact of life we have to live with I'm afraid.

Thank you for that screm. I knew he had a fall - but - I had no idea his injuries were so serious. I hope that he returns both fully healed and rested. Injuries - a part of the Sport I don't like.

Engine Tuners seem to be the only people making money out of Speedway these days. Time to go back to Engines that can be maintained by the Rider/Mechanic. Awaits Flak.

Because the Land available seems to be suitable to fit a Speedway Track in to the Development. Whether it would be supported or not - I don't know, whether Planning Permission could be achieved - again, I don't know. All Chewbacca asked was why no Speedway Track is being considered - a fair enough question in my opinion. These days it is so very difficult to open new Venues due to Planning Permission, Noise restrictions etc. Here is a place where Planning Permission for Motor Sports must be in place, IF the Planning Permission included ALL Motor Sports then Speedway could possibly be an option. Worth investigating don't you think? I Posted before I was able to see this by SCB. Not knowing the Geography of the place I now understand that it may not be such a great idea after all - however Backless - Chewbacca had every right to ask the question.

Of course there is BW. They say they want to 'make the Meetings closer to maintain excitement' - what is that if it is not contriving the Score. It is a contrivance to ensure a closer Result which ever way you look at it. Jolly good Post arthur cross. I could definately live with that. So you admit that there is 'contrivance' in the current System BW. At last.

You are right orion. However it changes my b****y temper very time it comes out - for whatever Team. It certainly spoils my enjoyment of a Meeting and despite what others say on here - it really DOES effect newcomers attitude to Speedway. Mickey Mouse.

Entrance to this Event is Ticket Only - there will be no Pay at the Door facility. We have to be sure of Numbers beforehand.

You know my views on this BW. I don't want ANY Tactical Double Rides or Tactical Substitutes at all. I want ALL Races to proceed as per Programme (obviously Rider Order may be changed because of injury) and if a Team is in for a hammering - it will get one. I don't want to see undeserving Teams winning due to any Tactical contrivances that should not be what our Sport is about. Four Riders, 13/15 Heats, Scores added up at the end of the Meeting and the Team with the most Points is the Winner. WHAT IS SO VERY WRONG WITH THAT?
