Belle Vue National Stadium

Let's hope so moxey63 - I find this all very depressing..... Not at all what I expected. -
About the only thing for which you cannot blame the Promoters.
-
The problem is that they seem to spend a lot of time and effort not pleasing - anyone..................... They don't seem too bothered that they, in some ways, are driving folk away from the Sport - not attracting them as they ought to be.
-
Well said Sir. :approve:
-
Including Jimmy Squibb.
-
If that is right - another bloody daft decision. Pathetic really.
-
They must be crackers!!! However - at the end of the day, it is their funeral.

My condolences to his Family and friends. R.I.P. + Dave.

We ought to be able to do that - now that we are getting out of the European Union.
-
My first Meeting was in 1964 - Sunderland 'Saints' v. Newcastle 'Diamonds'. I remember a defeat for the 'Saints' (32-44) - it didn't put me off though.

"Once upon a time"............................................... You are right - but will it ever happen?

Tony Mole Retirement
The White Knight replied to Brummie Kev's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I talked to Tony Mole regarding the return of Speedway to Sunderland. It did not happen - but that was not Tony Mole's fault. I found him always very courteous to talk to and very knowledgable about Speedway and business too. I admire him very much and wish him a very happy retirement. Speedway will miss him very much. Just a thought - people talk about an Independent overall head of Speedway in this Country - would Tony not be a very good candidate for this Post? Just thinking........... -
Made me laugh anyway.
-
The only thing that you can be certain of is that they will change the Rules - - - AGAIN!!! On the other hand - they might do something sensible and get rid of Double P{oints. :approve:

Crazysue And Speedway Updates Texters And Updaters
The White Knight replied to jrs's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I totally concur with all of the comments regarding the Updates. As many will know - I no longer attend Speedway Meetings, however, I am still interested and the Updates are invaluable to me. I would like to thank every single Updater, Texter and particularly Sue for maintaining a service that is second to none. Many, many thanks. -
Yes. My wife used to love that.

Mikael Max To Retire
The White Knight replied to Ghostwalker's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Well said Trees - I couldn't agree more. -
Thank you for Posting this FH. British Speedway will miss PK, and so will I. Very best wishes to Peter in whatever he decides to do in the future - he deserves it.
-
My late Wife's favourite Rider. Peter is a wonderful example to all aspiring Speedway Riders - I loved watching him. As people have already said a true Gentleman in the truest sense of the word. I would like to congratulate wolfhound on an excellent first Post on the Thread. It says everything there is to say about PK. I concur with every word.

My Wife died just over 10 years ago. Thank you for that. You have to be a certain type of person to Post something like that. I always thought you were a bit thick - now you have proved it. Why don't you just crawl back under your rock where you belong. Sod off!!! Mods: There will be no apology from me for this Post. I apologise to the rest of the Forum for my reaction to this - but - certainly NOT to phillipsr.
