  1. Yep, doesn't ought to be major issue. Drying up nicely where I am 50 miles away. If not raining at Lynn I'd have thought a good chance of getting this on. And yes, the center concrete probably doesn't help drainage Be interesting to see a photo of stadium now....
  2. Tbf, its probably the correct call, and all bar previous one have been correct too. There 'might' be a small window to lay a track and rush through to heat 10, then everyone would complain they'd been short changed with riders being able to ride but not race. Buster can't win....
  3. I struggle to see past a Sheffield win, but hope we can keep it close and interesting and the weather plays ball and we get some good racing
  4. FFS - another match I'll miss as off to a concert in London on 1st July. Losing interest in this season at a very fast rate
  5. I'm hoping forecast is right and this gets rained off. I'm away this weekend so hopefully me and Tobi are OK for the rearranged date
  6. After initial enthusiasm that we had a decent team this year, definitely feels like a typical season again Not convinced on those guests, but does need to be guests instead of R/R. I'd be on the phone to Robert Lambert for an injury replacement spell....
  7. A win, hurrah. Hope Toby and Milik OK. Tobi landed very awkwardly. What a display by Patryk. MPT still the weak link and Ben had a poor night. Good to see NKI's riding well and decent score from Klindt. Anders was in the mix too For brum I was impressed with Brennan. Seems to have taken another step up this season On the negative side, what idiot changed the car park exit to the back road. Took a good 10-15 mins extra and with A47 roadworks towards norwich, finally got home at 11.30!
  8. Ought to be able to win by more than 2. Be disappointed not to get 50. Milik at reserve could make a huge difference though
  9. Definitely pleased to have Klindt back, but definitely still a rider short of a top 4 team. I was doubting Niels, but after his performance last week at Oxford, think he will do a decent job for us - leaves MPT / Patryk who I'm not convinced with.....one would be ok, but not both....
  10. Watched the live feed last night. Decent shift from the stars. Couldn't work out how tofty looked really quick in 2 races and really pants in his other two. Patryk looked better, but not quick enough. Anders was always in the mix and a bit unlucky not to get more. Schlien on commentry talked as if he knew we'd got another change coming and it would make us top 4 material Being a stars fan I thought Wright tried to turn back to inside to block niels....so should have been excluded
  11. Probably lack of riders Monday. NKI and Basso still ruled out and Tarasenko potentially withholding services. That's a lot of guests or r/r and not many options I suspect
  12. definitely stronger with lawson imo, so lets hope the UK rules prevent PUK riding....
  13. Now on Ebay.....having a bit of a clear out.... including postage works out at about 30p a programme....bargain.... 230 Speedway Programmes - Kings Lynn - Ipswich - Mildenhall | eBay
  14. Lawson and Basso give us a fighting chance, will be close, but struggling to see past a Sheffield win again.... aargh
  15. I couldn't possibly comment on the ineptitude of the Oxford team manager....
  16. I know it's early doors, but I'd be very tempted to bring in Klindt. If he produced his form of last season he would definitely improve our top 4 chances. I got the impression he was a good team man to have around the pits as well. I was disappointed when he went to Oxford. That's no disrespect to NKI, but as others have said, he is getting to the wrong end of his career and I rather remember his earlier years for the club
  17. The meeting moved along at a good pace, but I apologise for heat 15. All my fault as I said to my mate we'd done well to get to heat 15 by 9.10pm after delayed start. Cue a fall and two false starts!
  18. It was a real shame we lost Leicester and Brum due to weather. Those two 'easier' matches would have sharpened us up before BV and Sheffield matches and may well have meant we would have beaten BV the other night
  19. Spot on, that's my concern too and with several newbies in the team we've not yet had the chance to ride as a team at home yet. A very stiff test. If we can pull this one off it augers well for the rest of the season, but its only going to be a few points either way
  20. Peter Schroek was never the sharpest team manager at Kings Lynn, was glad to see the back of him, sounds like he ain't improved
  21. He might need a spare pit gate, some forecasts suggesting 50mph winds tomorrow evening....metcheck is somewhat calmer so hope thats the correct one!
  22. Totally agree or the atmosphere is likely to be flat as a pancake We had a chap on the mic a few seasons back, very lively but knew sweet fa about speedway. With a bit longer behind the mic he'd have developed a bit of speedway knowledge and been decent at the job
  23. Simon Lambert for me too - he'll be back as soon as we pick up an injury in the team. We've had enough injuries for various riders over the years, probably more than our fair share..
