So KO cup this weekend with the long haul to Plymouth for both teams on Saturday. Been a long time since Glasgow have done well in this cup. Friday and Saturday we are without Mario and Leon as both on SEC qualifier duties. Guests or guest and r/r required. Mario not at Plymouth is probably a bonus after his exploits at Armadale but Leon is definitely a huge miss for both legs. I hope Cammy has some reliable guests booked. We seemed to have problems with guests last year underperforming. Plymouth have a strong team this year and it will be tough to overcome them over the 2 legs. No tac subs allowed and our reserves are not on form yet.

Bandits v Tigers, BSN Series, 18/04/26
Weeyin replied to TheWellBehavedWorrall's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Berwick deserved the win and I don't think they will lose at home. For Glasgow to get the bonus with only 3 riders performing, was a feat in itself. Bomber had probably his worst meeting in a long time. Jury is out on Mario, not sure how much time he will be given. Leon , Kevin and Kyle were the main stay and deserve applaud. Disappointed with Freddie and Sam, thought they would have done better. Reid Battye take a bow, he was exceptional, r/r strengthened the bandits. They look like play off contenders this season. -

That strengthens the bandits imo -

I would say crowd slightly down from the usual but still ok, the rain all week and the forecast probably kept some away. But our diehards that come from far afield made the journey. Aberdeen, Greenock, Pitlochry, Stirling etc, they all made the trip down. -

Heat 15 was torrential rain, how they managed to actually race was amazing as track was under water at that point, rest of the meeting was OK, just that last race. -

What a fantastic meeting, credit to both teams for puting on a show in tricky conditions, Bomber and Kyle doing some mental moves. Heat 15 in torrential rain they were still racing and passing to get the 5-1, not sure how they managed to stay on, very few gate and go races. Hopefully a good match tomorrow at Shielfield, with Bomber doing bomber things, and at least a bonus point to the tiggers. -

Hopefully this goes ahead, should be close, we Know that Kevin goes well but first time for Mario, will he fair better than at armadale? Although armadale is tough for most newbies. -
Monarchs v Tigers, BSN Series, 10/04/26

Was a fair result, Cluff looked like a novice as did Mario, Dan will be a good number 1 and his exploits in heat 15 nearly gave the Monarchs the win, he never gives up. -

Got my tickets for this, hope the weather is fair, can see a monarchs win, as I expect Mario and Kevin to struggle with the technical track and both have never seen it. The 3 heatleaders will need to be on top form but will have a tough challenge against Dan T who has been superb at Armadale when there with the tigers. Hopefully the tiggers can keep it close. -

He also has to get past Kyle

Great night for Leon Flint at Belle Vue, top scoring for Sheffield, only 1 duff race. I think this is the year that Leon takes a step up, similar to what Dan Thompson did last year, maybe not achieving an 8 plus average but definitely consolidating heat leader status.

Great debut from Kevin Juhl Pedersen, considering he was racing against a few number 1's in the Championship,he certainly didn't disgrace himself. Definitely one to watch this season, hope Mario does well too.

Appears to be pinned now. How does someone become an admin? This could have been pinned much earlier if we have active administrators -
Championship KO Cup Draw

At least it was done in full view of fans and not behind closed doors -
I watched the Aussie meetings on bsn and I think Reid will do okay, he can gate, and is a racer, may need to calm himself a bit though. Will be an interesting watch. Disappointed that Jacob Hook does not have a place. We really need to stop losing riders that increase their average due to the team limits, it's always the 5 pointers that lose out.

So premiership 2026 thread is pinned, are there no moderators for championship threads? Can we not get some new moderators in place ? On second look, it says 2026 but is actually 2024, what a farce this forum is becoming. -
I agree, I saw him remove his kevlars from his top half and he appeared to have good movement, a few scrapes on his arm, but I only reported what was said on the stream

What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
Weeyin replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Why should championship change racenight to suit premiership, which would put most in financial difficulty. Not our fault Premiership is in the state it is in. -
You really are a troll, not 1 Glasgow fan has said we will win the treble
-
It is the race night that is the issue

He has been faithful to Glasgow and wants to stay until he retires. I think that constitutes faithful
