The world's most unreliable rider...
-
I think Wood will end up the Eagles' number 1 and at a top level across the league but as a heat leader trio it's not particularly strong when nearly every other team has built top heavy. Nevertheless it's probably the strongest bottom end in the league and should comfortably make the play-offs.

Birmingham Brummies 2017 Hat Trick

I'd be underwhelmed with that signing. A useful number 7, but not really a number 6 let alone number 2. This Brummie side doesn't look as strong as usual. -

I think Halder too. -
Youve missed Stoneman getting 21 from 7 rides at Coventry.
-
Personally I'd put Hopwood at number 5. He's easily a better rider than his average suggests having averaged 8 for Eastbourne only 2 seasons ago. He's spent most of his career riding at 5 for Stoke, Eastbourne & IOW anyway so is used to the tougher heats and he's already shown a liking to Central Park as an away rider. Contrast that to Stoneman who, despite the higher average and massive potential, rode nearly all of last season at reserve and isn't used to the pressure of being a heat leader and is moving to a completely new track.
-
Bewley & Ellis both managed 8 in their first full seasons. I think Jenkins has the potential to as well.
-
I think signings of Atkin, Priest & RTD show that they're sticking with the 'same old same old'.
-
If fans are a bit naive to NL racing then if they're going to have heard of anyone over the years it would be Mason because he's been in the bottom tier so long! There are lots of names that I'm sure fans go to NL meetings solely to watch due to the hype and anticipation around them. For example expect neutral fans to watch Mildenhall meetings for Jenkins, BV last season with Bewley, BV this season with Bickley, the IOW or Eastbourne when they had Ellis, Birmingham with the 2 Jacks and KL with Robert Lambert. Fans want to watch the next big thing and it's the NL where the begin.

Tedham and Hay should complete the side.
-
Probably the best 3 pointer left out there (excluding those rumoured to Belle Vue Storm). It's an impressive side and should make the play-offs imo.
-
True but he still looked better than Nick Phillips.
-
He hasn't retired. It was in the speedway star that he won't be fit for the start of the season but wants to get back on a bike.
-
Nick is 26 and has been around for years, yet is still on a 3.00 average. I think that says it all. Mason will do alright at home, albeit not in an entertaining manner. But away I would'nt be surprised if he often gets outscored by Bowtell or Hunter. Not a great team really.

Chances of Jamie Couzins returning?
-
My guess is _ _ _ _ D _ _ _ _ N 😉
-
Take a guess then Alex 😉

That's not my personal opinion. I think Geary is a good signing on a 3.00 average and he improved well towards the end of the season.
-
Buxton actually said that they'd continue team building when Pipe initially quit. So it's clearly a Moss signing, so I wonder how long Pioe keeps him in the team.
-
Yesterday (Monday) they said tomorrow morning
-
Stokes did retire around August but he may have had a change of heart.
-
Buxton promised us a rider announcement scheduled at 8:30am today but we're still waiting.
-
Clegg, Branford, Morris & Carr etc have shown ambition by moving up whereas Boxall is happy to ride for a club that he wants to regardless of what league they're in.
-
He seemed considerably improved once he recovered from his midseason injury. It may not be a signing to set the world alight but Andrews should improve his average a bit.
-
Tom Stokes is my guess.
