Fair point. I would've suggested Burton & Hopwood but with Lawlor no longer a 3.00 that puts the side over the limit. However the Cradley site says the team was going to be a bit under the limit anyway. So maybe something like Burton and Dwyer.

I hope Stoneman gets fixed up because he showed very good potential last season and in his first stint in the sport before his serious injury. Yeah it is. His home and away averages weren't too dissimilar either. Plus he's a grasstracker too so a big circuit might suit him better than Eastbourne did.

I thought the BV/Cov side will literally be the same 7 riders all the time.

My thoughts exactly. Both good individual signings but it's intriguing to see how they'll make up their team.

The racing is brilliant at Scunthorpe and I, and other neutrals, go for the fantastic racing. But at the end of the day the majority of fans that turn up every week will be Scunthorpe supporters and they want their team to win. Sport is about entertainment but also supporters want to watch a successful team, so Scunthorpe may have a great track but they can't solely rely on that, which has reflected in attendances in the last couple of seasons.

Both young and promising. Both started at Rye House in 2015 under Andrew Silver alongside Hume and were raw. Hunter was the number 8 that year so he didn't ride that much. Hunter averaged 3.47 and Bowtell 3.95. Both started last season in the main body of their teams for practically the first time and Hunter suffered several injuries at Rye to halt his progress but was widely regarded as the only promising rider of their bottom end and rode at number 4. Bowtell moved to Mildenhall and seemed to struggle a bit tbh but he had a month at reserve midseason which seemed to get his year back on track and he ended the season well at number 2. I don't think the change of track helped Bowtell. Both had steady seasons last year for different reasons but both have shown glimpses of potential and their averages are both on the up.
