  1. 1. Danny Ayres 8.56 2. Alfie Bowtell 4.21 3. Dan Greenwood 6.82 4. Danny Phillips 6.25 5. Liam Carr 7.71 6. Bradley Andrews 3.07 7. Joe Lawlor 3.00 Total: 39.65
  2. Masters/Kylmakorpi, Klindt & a 2 pointer to complete the team??
  3. Imo the NL doesn't need any rule about maximum ages or limits on riders because, as HT points out, nearly every team gets it spot on atm. The number of riders that have moved up from the junior scene has increased in recent years and the number of riders getting team places has increased too simply down to the increased number of teams! I fail to see how 'old' riders are taking others' places when there aren't more riders out there to take these team places with 12 clubs in the league. Traditionally the issue has been that the top end NL riders have struggled to move up to the PL but the introduction of last year's mandatory number 7 and this year's 2.00 minimum has aided that. However I'll re-evaluate my opinion if the rules if the number of NL teams dropped, but atm there's enough reserve slots to fit newbies in and enough team places that 'old' riders aren't taking the places of younger riders.
  4. I agree but he seems close to Laurence.
  5. In both Bjerres and Bates the Bees had found riders who could hold or increase their averages, and add the dependable King and exciting Garrity it looked an alright team. But it really needed some top end strength to take the pressure off King and the bottler Kenny Bjerre, like a Kylmakorpi or even Schlein. But signing Sarj just wastes 2/3 average points at number 7 when he should be only taking 3 rides anyway and it means that Kerr is likely to drop down and you won't get Bates at reserve all season! The riders individually are decent signings tbh (maybe Sarj apart) but the team is poorly built!
  6. I wonder how many Coventry lads Laurence will bring with him. Knuckey and Dan Greenwood maybe.
  7. Perry's a Brummie fans favourite tbf but also it may depend on whether Cradley want him back as their number 5 with presumably Ayres at number 1.
  8. Haha so you didn't bother to quote my rationale as to why your idea doesn't work and ignore the fact that I've suggested many things in this section over the last couple of years. Even before the 'big teams' turned up.
  9. Smith & Hume will sign surely. Bacon could be a victim of his own success with Perry likely to return.
  10. You come out with some stuff... So JPB should be on a 4 point average 'because he's young' and Ayres should've been saddled with a 7 point average in his second season (when he actually started on 4.24) because he's not so young. Then the likes of Atkin, Bowen and Wilson should all be on 12 point averages leaving teams with no number 1 because they can't fit them in under the points limit!
  11. I think the main problem is when riders get injured that there's such a scarce number of Ryder's that don't get team places at the start of the season, that if a heat leader gets injured then it's very difficult to replace him. It's not like the upper leagues when they can recruit a random foreigner or gamble on someone who's doing well in the lower league.
  12. They can't ride NL if they start the season with a Championship place. S4K is right, the conversion is PLx2 but you use whichever is higher of that figure or the latest NL figure, and I can't remember Boxall's without checking.
  13. Shanes will be a great 2.00 rider, is a real born racer and is genuinely one of the nicest people you'll meet! He loves playing up to the crowd (similar to Ayres) and should really have had a PL spot this season.
  14. My 12 Graj/Tungate Wright/Starke Worrall/Lambert Kus/Lindgren Graj/Allen Howarth/Bates Lawson/Summers Tungsten/BWD Worrall/Bach Worrall/Rose King/Sarj Auty/Douglas
  15. Looks a decent side. A strong top 4 with some room for average improvement in it and always a handy number 6.
  16. It was 11. So a decent amount for an average.
  17. I agree which is why I thought he wouldnt be fit for April. Hopefully he's back sooner rather than later because he's a promising rider.
  18. I just thought it would make the team very top heavy. Plus I expected Coles to sign.
  19. That must mean that Mountain isn't fit for the start of the campaign unfortunately.
  20. Taking only scores for the Warriors, Cupitt averaged 4.16 last season and 4.90 including bonus points. That's called progression from his previous scoring.
  21. Bellego is a decent signing on that figure because he pretty consistently beat 8 point PL riders last season and was in a high 8 average at one point until a slight slump. But his PLRC performance showed that he can definitely hold his own in that company. He's a rider who's improving and signing those is how you make a decent team.
