You could say that about more than Stoke tbh. Only 3 of the 10 teams have their top 2 riders lining up!

Stoke Select V Buxton Select - Nt - 15/10/16
Islander15 replied to Little Thumper's topic in National League Speedway
Lawlor has agreed to ride for Buxton for the rest of the season as an unattached 3.00 rider, which makes him eligible to ride for other clubs too in the same regard (Cradley for example). But his photo will still be on the BV website because you can be sure that he will be in the BV management's plans with the improvement he's made over the last month or so. -
The BSPA have ruled that he's ineligible because despite him being 'suspended' by Stoke he's still in their declaration as its past the deadline to make any team changes. However Stoke have a meeting on Saturday so the BSPA have ruled that he cannot guest for another team when it clashes with his actual club having a meeting, when technically he's still in their side.

Why the Kent management agree to this date knowing that Ayres is missing, is beyond me.

Cradley V Eastbourne Tpnl Ko Cup Semi Final

Mildenhall realised they weren't going to make the play-offs so let him go (at a similar point to the other youngster Sam Bebee getting injured) and almost certain to use him next season after protecting his 3.00 average. -
Buxton V Eastbourne -nl- 25/9/16

Rolling averages don't exist in the NL. It's different in front of your own fans. You have to win and every rider has to put the effort in as well. -
It seems like we make the same comment every year about multiple clubs!

Armstrong is at 1 and Stokes R/R. Otherwise it should be as expected.

Stokes has quit the sport. It was officially announced today.

Sheffield Vs Scunthorpe - 14/9/16
Islander15 replied to LagutaRacingFan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Most people only buy the programme for the race card anyway, so I'm sure they'd rather pay £1 at Scunny for a couple of up to date pages, than £2.50 at Sheffield for old news and an insert. -

Mildenhall Vs Eastbourne 4th September
Islander15 replied to Speedway28's topic in National League Speedway
Of course we don't because that's the top level of British speedway! The argument here is that most agree that their should be a limit determining what ability a rider can reach before he is no longer allowed to ride in the NL and therefore progress upwards into the PL and EL. But our current league structure does t aid that natural progression. Some think that Ellis is above that limit, but some don't. Though there's a clear argument for Ellis being the highest achiever in the league and currently at a higher standard than Morris, Clegg et al, when you look at his EL average, a World Cup place and U21 achievements. -

Buxton's number 1 is Tom Woolley. -
£17 for the NL is a lot of money, whether it's 2 meetings or not! I'm sure even Coventry fans won't fancy stopping until gone 11pm or whenever their marathon double header will finish at this time.

Other clubs could really take note from Barry and co on how to promote the sport properly!

Only change is Stokes for Bailey.
