  1. NL clubs can't sign new assets at all. Its a rule decided by the upper leagues last winter.
  2. Wasn't it part of some agreement with Lakeside to benefit both parties. For example Kent kept theirs and Len said so.
  3. Bailey, Hampshire and Kinsley should be the spine of the side with Campos in there as an experienced because leader he seemed to embrace that role last season. Whitmore didnt look ready for NL racing this season to me, so let him concentrate on MDL.
  4. You can keep assets that you already have. Teams just can't sign new ones.
  5. They should sign Ben Morley but I bet Priest struggles to find a team on that average, despite an impressive season.
  6. I said that Ellis would struggle to find an EL spot so maybe the NL will become attractive again if someone gambles on his massive average http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/14873599.Speedway__Team_place_struggle_for_Ellis_as_Pirates_door_closes/?ref=twtrec
  7. Nah they're not final, they'll release the final ones after the AGM like previous years I assume.
  8. Agreed but it's a difficult one to answer without the use of guests, seeing as the fixture compilers are incapable of avoiding clashes. One change I would like to see is injuries able to be covered by guests and not just R/R. For example it seemed harsh on Coventry last season having to use R/R for the injured Carr & then Greenwood through no fault of their own when teams could turn up with 2 guests for fixture clashes! But keep R/R to cover the 'any other reason' facility.
  9. With the EL now using converted averages, Ellis suddenly has a massive EL average so I wonder if anyone will sign him and staying in the suddenly looks attractive.
  10. They better not do that because I don't want to have to change my twitter handle

  12. You're all underestimating Stoneman's contribution. Birmingham have been the best team this season but I think Eastbourne's performance on Sunday will win it for them.
  13. I haven't put much thought into this but: 1. Mark Baseby 7.90 2. Chris Widman 4.53 3. Nathan Stoneman 7.00 4. Ben Hopwood 6.00 5. Darryl Ritchings 7.04 6. Layne Cupitt 3.18 7. Kelsey Dugard 4.28 Total: 39.93
  14. Or they could've scheduled the second attempt for during September, rather than leaving it to the last 2 weeks of October and running out of time.
  15. Shelby says he's going to try and race at the final meeting and he has more movement in his neck now, but is still feeling sore.
  16. Of the 4 you open with I was referring to 3 of those and being a bit harsh on Mildenhall tbf seeing as Hughes is injured. Regarding the other 6 teams I think they should all put out their strongest line-ups to respect the spectacle that a national event should be and to give their fans the best opportunity of glory. Now the teams have been confirmed I can see why they've been so reluctant to release them. Stoke, Isle of Wight, Birmingham and Belle Vue have all put out questionable duos with higher average riders missing without a reason. Then Kent and King's Lynn are being forced to track weaker line-ups because of doubling-up and this meeting being held at the end of the season when it can't be scheduled to fail to clash with PL meetings (but tbh I have a feeling someone was missing the original meeting anyway). Whilst Shanes didn't have this meeting in his original schedule to plan around but tbf he should arguably put his club first. Generally it just doesn't entice supporters of those 6 teams and neutrals to travel imo.
  17. You could say that about more than Stoke tbh. Only 3 of the 10 teams have their top 2 riders lining up!
  18. Lawlor has agreed to ride for Buxton for the rest of the season as an unattached 3.00 rider, which makes him eligible to ride for other clubs too in the same regard (Cradley for example). But his photo will still be on the BV website because you can be sure that he will be in the BV management's plans with the improvement he's made over the last month or so.
  19. The BSPA have ruled that he's ineligible because despite him being 'suspended' by Stoke he's still in their declaration as its past the deadline to make any team changes. However Stoke have a meeting on Saturday so the BSPA have ruled that he cannot guest for another team when it clashes with his actual club having a meeting, when technically he's still in their side.
  20. Why the Kent management agree to this date knowing that Ayres is missing, is beyond me.
  21. I can't believe I forgot, but for the record I would've gone for Doyle under
  22. Mildenhall realised they weren't going to make the play-offs so let him go (at a similar point to the other youngster Sam Bebee getting injured) and almost certain to use him next season after protecting his 3.00 average.
