A recent comment by Rod Colquhoun, Heffernan Motor Sports:- Talk is that Coff’s Harbour’s Hugh Skidmore will draw time on his overseas racing career this season and settle back in Australia. Hugh is a really nice fella, but sadly has done very little racing in Australia and as a result is virtually unknown on home soil.

Not the 2nd signing for 2017, but Joe Lawlor has signed as a club asset.

9.91 I think. A bit too high, and I can't see him riding in the Championship.
-
On Ty Proctor's Twitter:- 6.68 someone's gotta be interested right?

Originally, I only looked at the listing by team, and there is no mention of a 5.00 for Arthur. I just looked at the alphabetical and numerical listings, and in both there is a 5.00 in brackets, but no explanation in the Key as to what the 5.00 means.I don't remember seeing anything about this in the AGM statement either. Hey ho.

I don't think there is any hope at all.
-
I believe so.

Many thanks. Arthur has Greek patriality I believe, and is classed as an EU rider.

Does Josh Grajczonek require a visa?

JPB didn't ride in the PL this year.

IMO, somehow they need to remove the incompatibility between the bikes, tyres and track surfaces, thereby reducing riders' costs and improving the racing. Sending bikes for a service after 2 or 3 meetings is ridiculous.

RIP Mr Lanning. Simply the best.

From yesterday's Sheffield Star:- Damien Bates said: “It’s been a brave fight, but this year wasn’t meant to be. Ever since we took over Sheffield we’ve been cursed with multiple injuries. We went into a Grand Final without our No. 1 and 5 in Jason and Simon and let’s not forget Dimitri Berge, who’s had a fantastic year. I strongly believe that if we’d have had those three then we could have pushed Somerset all the way. But as things were, I don’t think we could have too many complaints and the best team in the league were crowned Champions in the end. We’ve done exceptionally well when you consider everything and just to reach the play-offs was a decent achievement itself. I’m already thinking towards next season now and I’ve got a few ideas in mind. I know riders I’d love to use, I know riders who definitely won’t be involved so I’ve got a rough idea of how I want the team to be built.” Bates added: “We’ve just got to wait for the AGM now for the rules to be set and then we can get cracking!”

He has also said that he wants to ride for a smaller track, otherwise he would be an ideal choice. Maybe his mate Kyle can swing it. -

P.l.p.final Sheffield V Somerset
Blackadder replied to Charlieboy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I spoke with Jason 2 weeks ago, and he used his left hand to shake hands, as he still had his right wrist strapped up. If the strapping has since been taken off, his wrist will still be weak. -
