Plymouth v Poole; Jubilee League; Tues 19th July
Elmo replied to SteveLyric2's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
As a side note what about the crazy 56.60 time announced for heat 7, 4 seconds slower than most of the rest, I don’t think so. My take as a neutral, heat 1 superb at the 3rd time of asking was the high point as it soon became clear there were major problems with bends 3 & 4 with riders being catapulted in various directions on a regular basis and then there was the dust issues later on too. Fair play to Mark Phillips for the apology. From my vantage point I couldn’t argue with any of the refs decisions but King did make the most of it in heat 3 and maybe Kerr was a bit unlucky. Overall Poole were comfortably the better team and deserved their win. -

Richie Worrall spotted the Lions sticker on my car and we had a nice little chat in the traffic queue coming off the A38 roundabout. -

I will be on holiday in Devon so am popping along to this for my first visit to Plymouth. I will have my Leicester programme board and a dog so come and say hello. -
There’s some pictures on the speedway stadiums past and present Facebook group.

An excellent night out and well worth the trip down from Leicester. Really impressed with the work done to get the stadium up and running and the track was super smooth. A little bit more grip round the outside especially on bends 1 & 2 and it would have been an absolutely top drawer track tonight. If you haven’t made it there yet I would say it’s well worth a visit.

What average will Newman have in July? -
It must have been the prevailing wind then because on the 3rd bend it looked like we had all been to the local tanning salon lol

I thought Warren looked quite decent for Kent at Leicester last season. -
His team mate Riss put him in the fence on bend 4

Remember Kus being excluded at Redcar in 2013 for the same thing. https://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/12663/redcar-leicester-pl-15-30pm -

I think we should have more than enough to cover for him at home whilst he gets to grips with it but he is more important away as that is where the twin’s generally struggle at the moment. -

And have you seen the Newcastle team? It was always going to be a hammering. And as others have said the racing has vastly improved over the last few years. -
They didn’t learn from the Scunthorpe match then because it appeared they weren’t watching the racing there either, time & time again going wide on bend 2 allowing the scorpions to stroll up the inside.

Leicester v Poole Sat 16th/4/22
Elmo replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
From my view half way down the back straight, the Ref got both exclusions correct, Worrall the first time though Lawson pulled the same move on Howarth previously but Kyle backed off & King did not. In heat 15 King just didn’t turn into bend 3 and went straight on into Richie. Some good hard fought battles on a track a little rougher than usual. Kemp managed to up his game and got dialled in after 2 rides which always kept Poole in the hunt, overall I’d say it was a fair enough score line. -

Might be tempting fate here but I haven’t seen Kemp have a decent meeting at Leicester yet. Think it could go either way tonight.
