  1. I've got more chance of getting a call up to the England Netball team than Leicester getting anything from this.
  2. LEICESTER have been handed a big pre-meeting boost ahead of tonight’s Premiership clash with Belle Vue at Beaumont Park. The Watling JCB Lions will have a full strength team with Jason Garrity declaring himself ready to race despite indication otherwise during the week. And fans arriving early have the chance to meet the all-action racer with the first of the club’s ‘meet the rider’ sessions with Garrity available for pictures and autographs between 6-6.30. There’s also face painting for the kids and with glorious weather the club are expecting a bumper crowd with a great atmosphere as Leicester look to claim the three points from the Manchester side. Said Garrity: “I hate missing meetings and I’m determined to do my best for Leicester. It’s going to be tough but I’ll give it everything I’ve got and hopefully the fans will turn out in big numbers and make some noise.” LEICESTER LINE-UP: Kim Nilsson, Erik Riss, Jason Garrity, Lasse Bjerre, Danny King, Josh Bates, Danny Ayres.
  3. Bloody Hell not again,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Grajzconek has ridden Leicester more times than Garrity this season.
  4. In my opinion Speedway has a very limited appeal. If everything was perfect, right night, great weather, affordable entrance fee etc. Then you would only ever get 1500 / 2000 max. Staging meetings on a Saturday night, particularly now days, with so many other things to do you are making it even harder for yourself. There simply isn’t enough people in the area interested enough to actually make the effort to attend on a regular basis. You’ve actually got to be fairly keen to keep going. Add to that the way the meetings are dragged out with no real flow to them with long gaps and general poor presentation it’s no real surprise that only the diehard carry on going. It’s a £10 sport that most people might go to once or twice a season.
  5. That's Saturday night Speedway for you........................Oh hold on been here before.
  6. A blend of sun and clouds with a passing shower or two
  7. This would suggest that he is in fact an average 3rd heat leader in this league then. Its not a lot of use having long spells of being inconsistent.
  8. Honestly............Can't think of many other speedway meetings I've enjoyed less. The only thing I can come up with on the plus side is that it moved along pretty fast, other than that I'll have to get back to you.
  9. Think this will be a good meeting, I'm looking forward to it. Oddly enough after 40 something years of watching speedway I have only ever seen a Wolverhampton team in action once. I cant recall what years it was but it was when both leagues became one. And Wolves rode at Long Eaton. Sudden Sam was in the Wolves team and possibly Ronnie Corey.
  10. 15/04/17 1900 Rye House v King's Lynn (SGBP) 15/04/17 1930 Leicester v Somerset (P-KOC) 15/04/17 1900 Berwick v Glasgow (SGBC) 15/04/17 1930 Ipswich v Peterborough (SGBC) 15/04/17 1900 Workington v Scunthorpe (SGBC) Some guests required I think.
  11. I think Howe would make an half decent team manager.
  12. Leicester will win the 2nd leg and progress in the competition. Actually, I thought that is the objective in cup competitions. to get to the next round,
  13. I don't know ask Poole it's them who pay him.
  14. I would think that to be the case. Don't want any team to pack up, but Craig Cook would be a good addition.
  15. The whole, we will get more on a Saturday night is rubbish. A lot more choice of things to do at weekends, Get a decent team and track and you will get as many mid week.
  16. It would be quicker to have a whip round amongst the fans to get the bloody track altered.
  17. Is there a cut off date that Bell Vue must have everything in place by to enter the league. I hope it all works out for them., it would be terrible if they didn't get to the tapes in 2017.
  18. Schlein rides for Ipswich on Thursday's. So if,as you say, he will sign for Leicester. that reduces race night options even further,
  19. My guess, and that is all it is, will be a Thursday. Personally I wouldn't worry to much about the race night. What is more concerning is the number of teams in the league. If Coventry and Bell Vue don;t enter that leaves just 7 teams, So six teams to race against. 12 home meetings is hardly mouth watering,
  20. Your assuming that Leicester don't already have a team in place. Just because it hasn't been announced doesn't mean anything.
  21. You don't know what night they will have meetings yet.
