  1. With the return of Masters ( 8 for Edinburgh last night) and Lambert (6 for Peterborough) I think it will be a pretty straight forward Lions win.
  2. Whilst I enjoy your knowledgeable and insightful comments regarding everything speedway and particularly your undeniable, almost vitriolic, support of the number one team in the Black Country. Can I humbly remind you that receptiveness in any form can be a sign that a person has a limited amount to say on a particular subject. I’m sure you are aware of this and will do your best to rectify your error in future posts. Kind Regards
  3. WHEN you woke up this morning, you found the world largely as you left it. You were still you; the room in which you awoke was the same one you went to sleep in. The outside world had not been rearranged. History was unchanged and the future remained unknowable.
  4. If that thought helps you sleep better, then I am happy for you. Just remember a sudden jolt of reality can be a painful thing.
  5. You've rode more meetings. If there is any bit of that you don't understand I'll be happy to explain.
  6. In fairness the three under strength teams are Leicester, Wolverhampton and Lakeside. I personally don’t think there is much to choose between them. I enjoy the racing in the Elite League. Generally speaking, I find it to be closer and not as strung out as the premier league. The big down side is the number of teams in the league and the constant use of guest riders (sometimes as many as 4 or 5 in one meeting). I watch Swedish speedway on BES and to me that is a fantastic league. I think they have got it just about right. They seem to be able to attract a more even spread of riders in the teams. Certainly the teams contain the best riders in the world and make our top flight look pretty tame in comparison. I guess at the end of the day it’s all about the money ! ohhhhhhhhhhh and Poole to win easy.
  7. Swindon Robins 1. Darcy Ward - 2. Eduard Krcmar - 3. Hans Andersen (G) - 4. Grzegorz Zengota - 5. Troy Batchelor - 6. Charles Wright - 7. Lewis Rose - Poole Pirates 1. Chris Holder - 2. Davey Watt - 3. Dakota North - 4. Kacper Gomolski - 5. Maciej Janowski - 6. Paul Starke - 7. Kyle Newman - Swindon look very strong to me, can't see Poole doing anything.
  8. Sadly I think, nowadays, that is pretty much a true statement. I don't think the top riders do particularly care how their team are doing in the league. Most of them ride in lots of different leagues and as long as they view their own form to be as they would like it they are happy.
  9. This should be a pretty good meeting me thinks. Wilkinson rode very well for us last time lets hope for a repeat performance from him. Will be interesting to see how Ward goes after a bit of time off. Think a Lions win..............................But, I could be wrong.
  10. SWINDON have confirmed Darcy Ward will make his debut in their Elite League match at Leicester on Saturday. Ward’s suspension from all speedway for failing an alcohol test at last year’s Latvian Grand Prix expired at the end of June, and he quickly agreed a deal to join the Robins in place of former No.1 Adrian Miedzinski. Swindon boss Alun Rossiter said: “We haven't really had an out-and-out No.1 all season and hopefully bringing Darcy in will change that because everybody knows what he can do on a bike. “I'm sure he'll do well and he'll be an important rider for us over the next few months but don't expect him to go out and bang in fifteen points on Saturday. People have got to be realistic; he's done laps and he looks very quick but he's been out for a long time and it will take him a few meetings to get back up to speed.”
  11. I think, the not so mighty Lions, might nick this one. Wolverhampton: 1. Freddie Lindgren, 2. Jacob Thorssell, 3. Tobiasz Musielak, 4. Ricky Wells, 5. Peter Karlsson, 6. Josh Bates and 7. Lewis Blackbird Leicester: 1. Jason Doyle, 2. Sam Masters, 3. Robert Lambert, 4. Szymon Wozniak, 5. Piotr Swiderski, 6. Simon Lambert and 7. Charles Wright
  12. The racing last night wasn't great. However, to read all the comments you would think that every other track in the country produces the finest racing the world has ever seen. Generally speaking, week in week out, you are lucky to see a decent race once in a blue moon at any track in the uk. Good meetings are very much few and far between. In fact, I don't think I have seen what you could term as a genuinely great speedway meeting for a very long time.............Anywhere.
  13. Leicester beating Wolverhampton....................Blimey and them being fourth for most of the season, who would have predicted it .............Oh hang on I did
  14. I think you could probably still win if you used the man who sells the burgers and teas .
