I cannot remember changing to an individual meeting, it was usually a start of the season set of meetings between Sheffield, Belle Vue, Halifax and Hull, I don't know when it was stopped or why though, but I am sure that it was not changed to a individual meeting, you might be getting mixed up with the Northern Riders Championship.

Yes it was Poole, he did fall out with the Promotion, but I don't know why.

I miss Halifax, and the Shay, with its steep banking's, the place was a bit of a dump, but the racing was very very exciting, and the riders got close to the fence I swear that you could see the white's of there eyes as they went passed. Nowadays I don't think that you could have a Halifax anybody more the health and safety would not allow it.
