Certainly looks that way. For me I would go with a team of Heatleaders Jack Holder Adam Ellis Tobiasz Musielak Holder and Ellis would form a formidable top 2, and Musielak I think would push up his average to around 8 points or just below. 2nd Strings Erik Riss Kyle Howarth Riss had a poor season and his average dipped, but I think a change of track will do him good and I think that he is more than capable of upping his average between 6.00 to 6.30. Impossible to think of Sheffield without Kyle, so I think that the club will go with him Reserve and Rising Star Jake Allen Reserve Connor Mountain or Danyon Hulme Jake Allen at reserve would give us that strong reserve that we lacked last season, also if or when his scores improve and if has to move up into the main body of the team, Kyle or Erik would move to reserve. Meaning we always have a strong reserve. The Rising Star I would take either of those two, I think that both can do a job, but I think that I would lean toward Connor, but would not be disappointed if Danyon got the spot. So my Sheffield line up would be. (1) Jack Holder (2) Erik Riss (3) Kyle Howarth (4) Tobiasz Musielak (5) Adam Ellis (6) Jake Allen (Rising Star) Connor Mountain or Danyon Hulme

Promoter seem to like keeping fans waiting for announcement of riders signings. If we are to wait for the next STAAR meeting then it would be the middle of December when the first one is announced. They also seem to like to drip feed signings. Personally I would rather they announced the riders as soon as possible, rather then second guessing or speculating.

Thanks for that. Should prove to be a very shrewd signing.
-
He will come in on his 2019 average 6.21.

Any chance that you could show us the link showing the information please.

I don't my friend. Took the info from Speedway Updates pages.

Could be Josh, bearing in mind that he finished the season as third heatleader, and he maybe thinking that he deserves a pay increase. Or could be that interest may have been shown from other clubs who may have offered him big money. But Josh and other possible interested clubs need to be careful as Josh did not do a full season in the Premiership and may struggle to maintain or improve on that average. Kings Lynn are a club that I would imagine would show more than a passing interest in him. And as much as I love watching Josh and would love him back at the club I do think that their has to be a ceiling on riders pay rates at the club and if the money we are prepared to pay and his figure that he wants is wide of the mark then let him go.

Well he is basing himself in UK, next season and has said that he would be quite happy to return to Sheffield next season. Make of that what you want.

I was going to include that information but was not exactly clear. -

Not possible as far as I aware. Birmingham have to run 20 meetings as part of the rent agreement. -
Maybe. But on an starting average I would look for him to maintain or make a small improvement. The riders that tend to lose their place in teams are the 5 to 6 point men. Also if Ellis's chance of team spot in the Sheffield due to the improvement he made then the same could be said for Jack Holder. Both made similar improvements on their starting averages

I think its really only one Poster is has said he would not have Adam back, and he is entitled to his or her opinion. I think they will be disappointed as reading between the lines Adam wants to be back and the club want him back as well. And I would say that the vast majority of fans want him back at Sheffield.

22 races out of 84.
-
Not interested in what happens at Scunny. So for the record he fell 4 times in 88 races. Twice at Kings Lynn and Twice at Wolves (Same meeting). One of the falls at Kings Lynn was caused by the chain snapping. So only 3 falls caused by rider error. Would hardly describe him as a prolific faller.
-
How many times did fall riding for Sheffield?
-
Replace Erik Riss with Jack Holder Replace Anders Rowe with Stefan Nielsen . And your talking.
-
I think a lot will depend upon whether or not he is still classed as a Rising Star. If he is not classed as a Rising Star then I think I prefer Stefan Nielsen.
-
I totally agree with the 6 man teams, especially with the shortage of quality riders.

which 3 championship clubs folded. Eastbourne was would appear to be due to Mis- Management, reputed to be returning in 2023 Kent appears to be down to new stadium owners increasing the rent and the Promoter not feeling he could afford to carry on with the rent increases, still given extra time to find a Promoter to take it on. (But not likely to happen) I would not say that Birmingham have folded there seems to be consortium that seem to really interested to keep Birmingham running. So I make that at this present moment Eastbourne temporary not running Kent more than likely to fold. Birmingham a reasonable chance to see them running next year.
-
But you made the point that Promoters from other clubs were picking the bones of Eastbourne speedway. It is on record from the riders that they had not been paid and were owed money. What is so wrong with clubs coming in and offering those riders jobs at their clubs. At the end of the day the problem at Eastbourne is down a certain party as I see , I fail to see how the BSPL can be held accountable for one parties poorly run business. As you point out its not just riders who have been duped there are many others, and I am not saying the BSPL are perfect far from it, but to lay the blame and to criticize them for taking riders from the then defunct team at Eastbourne. One thing that they surely need to do is to have a better vetting system when giving out Promoter liscenses.

Nightmare signings

For me. Sam Masters Richie Worrall Claus Vissing Bjarne Pedersen Ben Barker Kenneth Bjerre Corey Gathercole -
Disappointed to see that the Championship clubs have dumped the Rising Star programme. For me riders need to be able to progress through the league and to do this the programme has to run through all of the leagues. So it is looking like only 6 teams in the Premiership So with one Rising Star for each team these are the riders that should be the 6 Rising Star, Leon Flint Tom Brennan Jordan Palin Anders Rowe Drew Kemp Dan Thompson I would then like to see reserve list, these riders will cover Guest appearances for the above riders, retirements or riders dropped. Dan Gilkes Joe Thompson Jason Edwards Henry Atkins Jack Parkinson Blackburn Connor Bailey

Sure I have seen that he has signed Daugavpils. So he would be allowed to ride in two other league's. UK Poland Sweden
-
Because they need more teams in the Premiership. Poole are the obvious choice from the Championship. They have the rider assets and the support.
-
Poole to move back into the Premiership. Jack Holder to Poole Jason Doyle to Sheffield.
