Could anybody help me, could you please tell me where the ill fated Doncaster speedway track was situated in Doncaster, and who were the promoters and the riders who rode there.

I nerver saw Clive Featherby, or should I say that I am too young to remember him, but I know that he tells me that Clive was a rider that never took no prisoners.

I remember Alan Molyneaux riding for Sheffield, really surprised at the time as the track was not suited to him, and he had never gone that well at Sheffield. He started out really poor, and seemed to fallout with the then promoter Ray Glover, but towards the end of the season he was producing some really fantastic performances.

Yes they mentioned it in the Speedway Star, which I found very interesting.

I thought so, I believe that this was on his first visit to this country, and then he returned home after that. Wonder if that was the only time he was ever dropped from a side.

I forgot about that one, I think was Dougie Wyer who recommended him to the Sheffield promotion, heartbreaking when you think about it, as we would have had Shawn Moran and Juicey Brucey in the same team for 2 seasons.

I have never heard the one about him going to Hull, the Halfax one is definately true though.

71 I would be 7 at the time, so my recollection is not very clear about Charles, I always thought that it was earlier than that, around 69 when he went to Sheffield.

Just about remember him riding, but the one thing I do remember about him is how miserable he always looked.

Really please that the kids will get something out of this book, and I reckon the book will be explosive, I cannot wait to read it.
