  1. @AJROSCO @SpeedwayGB All members of the Team GB informed, really pleased with attitude of the riders especially the ones who have missed out, 👍🇬🇧🇬🇧 I guess we should be pleased we actually have riders to decide from this year.
  2. Why wait till 2017, you can have him now if you like. As for effort, Connor Dwyer puts in a lot of effort for the storm but that doesn't mean I would want him signed in a EL top 5. Bates was injured. He sat out of a guest booking Sat & had to miss his PL fixture due to a knee injury. Wed was his first meeting back from injury where if you ask Havvy, Josh was a doubt until Tuesday night. However due to your lack of knowledge on anything other than Poole, you can be forgiven for not knowing. 😉 What shows your lack of knowledge most is your comment about Woryna showing more form than Bates. Is that why Kacper is now at reserve with his average still dropping as can't score there, whilst Bates has scored so well at reserve he's moved in to the top 5 and even upped his average there, beating strong riders. Bates stays in the top 5 in the new averages as well as his average is nearer to 5 whilst Woryna is still 4.
  3. Sad but true. Does that mean King's Lynn have as well? Personally I can't see either of us making the play offs. Could have been different if a change was made in May when it was obvious to us all that it was needed. Let's hope this doesn't turn out to be our last league fixture ever 😕
  4. Bates rode last night for Sheffield. Has a lot of mechanical problems according to their website but came through it ok. Sarjeant is hard to understand as he scored really well for Ipswich a couple of weeks ago & then was terrible for us the next night. Let's hope he's turned a corner as he used to be really good so we know he can do it. I think this is going to be one of our toughest tests tonight esp with Jacobs now scoring well. Belle Vue scored well in their away win at Swindon last night. Our team is strange though as at home we have best the stronger teams like Poole, Woves & Belle Vue last time but lost to more average sides like Swindon & King's Lynn.
  5. Haha and what about back in the real world. 😂😂😂
  6. That bit of their post confused me too. 5 from 3 isn't good at all
  7. Great win for Belle Vue who are looking strong. 1pt off the top of the table with 3 meetings in hand on Wolves (could go top after our meeting tomorrow) Sounds like another great night for Jacobs
  8. Can we have the Sarjeant that's riding for Ipswich tonight. A paid max & Unbeaten in his 4 races! A full maximum for King
  9. He's struggling for Belle Vue. His last 2 meetings at Belle Vue Leicester (1,1,1,0 = 3) Wolves. (0,0,2,1 = 3) As the Belle Vue riders & Tatum have said, there is no home track advantage at Belle Vue due to there being so many different race lines
  10. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Are you seriously comparing Hans Andersen with Emil 😜 Emil has just been out for a while through injury so he has said himself that he needs to get him confidence back. When Holder struggled abit after his injury did you write him off? Emil is up there will some of the best there is. He's been a huge loss to the series. Sometimes when I read some of your recent comment on the SWC & SGP I think you must be on the wind up and can't be serious with some of the deluded things you say. Maybe it's a lack of knowledge or rose tinted glasses as a lot of average riders you like are apparently good enough for the World Cup but yet Emil isn't anything special 😂😂😂😂
  11. Speedway GP websites rundown of the riders in contension. Thursday 21st July 2016, 11:10 We conclude our series featuring the Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup teams with a look at the Great Britain squad. They have been seeded straight into the Monster Energy SWC as hosts. Can they capitalise and win the Ove Fundin Trophy for the first time at Manchesters National Speedway Stadium on July 30? TAI WOFFINDEN The Scunthorpe-born icon knows all about winning world titles. He skippers Great Britains quest for Monster Energy SWC gold on the back of becoming FIM Speedway Grand Prix world champion in 2013 and 2015. A six-time SGP winner, Woffindens scoring power will be critical to GBs hopes of a first medal in 10 years. The former Wolverhampton rider no longer races in the British Elite League, so his Monster Energy SWC Final appearance in Manchester is a rare chance to see Britains finest in action on home shale. CHRIS HARRIS The Cornishman has been one of British speedways big guns for the past decade, making his Lions debut at Swindon in 2005, scoring 12 points. The Coventry Bees legend appeared in the 2006 SWC Final at Reading, where GB finished third the last time they appeared on the medal rostrum. Bomber has raced in all but one SGP series since making his World Championship debut in 2007. And few will ever forget his epic British SGP win at the Principality Stadium that year. ROBERT LAMBERT Lambert hopes to appear in his second straight Monster Energy SWC after announcing his arrival on the world stage last summer with an impressive GB debut at home track Kings Lynn, followed by an even better display in the Race Off at Vojens. The 18-year-old is widely regarded as British speedways hottest future prospect and has qualified for this years GP Challenge in Vetlanda, where the top three earn SGP places for 2017. The Kings Lynn, Newcastle and Masarna rider has also received a wild card for the FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship Final, and finished second in the opening round at Kings Lynn. DANNY KING The 29-year-old is enjoying the season of his life, having stormed to British Championship glory in Manchester last month to earn the wild card for the Adrian Flux British SGP in Cardiff. Despite two last places to start his night, King hit back with two seconds, before sending the Principality Stadium berserk with a thrilling triumph in race 19. With his form on the up for Coventry and Ipswich, hed love to cap a sweet 2016 with Monster Energy SWC gold for GB. CRAIG COOK Despite a rotten start to the season, plagued by engine troubles, Cook appears to be back on track for the Monster Energy SWC. The Belle Vue star is no stranger to the National Speedway Stadium shale and he will hope his experience at the track convinces Lions boss Alun Rossiter to hand him his first Final appearance. Cook last raced for GB in the 2013 Monster Energy SWC, scoring four points at Kings Lynn. But he has grown as a rider since then and the 29-year-old would love a shot at gold on his home track. SCOTT NICHOLLS The Belle Vue skipper is back in selection contention having opted out of the past three Monster Energy SWCs, and the former SGP regular offers the Lions a wealth of international experience. Having raced in 82 SGP rounds and 19 SWC meetings, the BT Sport pundit is no stranger to taking on the best in the world. He appeared in the legendary 2004 SWC Final at Poole, losing out to Swedens Peter Karlsson in a last-heat decider for the gold medal. How hed love to lay that ghost to rest in Manchester at his British home track. STEVEN WORRALL One of the shooting stars of the British Elite Leagues fast-track scheme, Worrall has made dramatic progress since being given his top-flight break by Swindon in 2014. That season prompted his parent club Belle Vue to bring him to Manchester, where he has become a star at the National Speedway Stadium, joining forces with twin brother Richie. Fourth in the British Final, Worrall is a man on a mission this year, and pushing his case for a Monster Energy SWC call-up. RICHIE WORRALL Unlike twin brother Steven, Richie hasnt had the benefit of racing in British speedways fast-track system, meaning he has had to hone his craft against the divisions big guns. The St Helens-born racer doubles up between Belle Vue and Premier League giants Glasgow. He has served as GBs first reserve in previous Monster Energy SWC tournaments, but will be keen to get his break in Manchester. JOSH BATES The two-time British Under-21 champion and World Under-21 finalist has taken some giant strides forward this season. On top of winning the national junior crown at Sheffield in April, he has also broken into Coventrys main team and is comfortably holding his own against some tougher competition. He will be a candidate for GBs under-21 reserve spot and his combative riding style should ensure his rivals wont get a moments peace if hes given a chance to race. ADAM ELLIS The Poole shooting star has refused to let a season blighted by injury slow him down. Despite two collarbone breaks in a matter of months, hes back on form. His efforts have taken him out of the Pirates reserve berths and into a second-string position, where he continues to beat some of the Elite Leagues top stars. He may have been raised near Bordeaux in south-west France, but Ellis is a Brit through and through. The World Under-21 finalist is also a candidate for the under-21 standby role. East Grandstand tickets for the Monster Energy SWC Race Off and Final at Manchesters National Speedway Stadium are still available. 12. Nicholls is struggling more than any of the other riders you listed on his home track and hardly scoring. Worrall has done well but it's very different racing mainly against reserves & 2nd strings to racing against top GP riders. Belle Vue is more of a racers track than a gaters track. I think there are already several threads open on this topic
  13. Great guest choices in ex Hammers Pedersen & Robbo. How can Robson guest for Charles Wright though when he's not on the draft list and already has an EL average? He wasn't allowed to guest for Newman.
  14. Thursday July 21, 2016 COVENTRY face another of the Elite Leagues title favourites when Belle Vue visit Brandon on Friday (7.30pm). Matches between the Buildbase Bees and the Aces have been amongst the big highlights in recent seasons with the last two clashes in particular including earlier this year going right down to the wire with Coventry triumphing in last-heat deciders. Its nearly five years since the Aces were last victorious at Brandon but they have significantly gained in strength over the last two campaigns, having reached the Elite League Grand Final in 2015 when they narrowly missed out to Poole. The men from Manchester have a powerful spearhead in Slovenian Grand Prix star Matej Zagar along with British Final runner-up Craig Cook and former Bees skipper Scott Nicholls whilst Australian youngster Max Fricke starred on their previous visit and is enjoying a terrific season. Bees are set to welcome back James Sarjeant at reserve after he missed the home and away matches against Poole following a crash at Ipswich last week. Sarjeant was due to return for the Witches against Peterborough on Thursday, meaning Jason Garrity is likely to be the only regular absentee, although he too is approaching a comeback and should line up for Sheffield in this weekends Premier League Fours. In the meantime, Ben Barker continues as Garritys stand-in for the Bees in their final fixture before the Elite League takes a week off for the World Cup. Skipper Chris Harris said: We can definitely re-group for Friday. Were at home, and weve got to go for big points and a big home win against Belle Vue. Theyre a strong team but we can win at home - well be alright. Fridays meeting also includes a second-half Midland Development League match between the Vikings and Milton Keynes, and 125cc demo races involving newly-crowned British Champion Dan Thompson. BUILDBASE BEES (from): Ben Barker, Josh Bates, Chris Harris, Krzysztof Kasprzak, Danny King, James Sarjeant, Kacper Woryna. BELLE VUE (from): Craig Cook, Max Fricke, Joe Jacobs, Scott Nicholls, Richie Worrall, Steve Worrall, Matej Zagar. Bates is now a doubt though as crashed which has hurt his knee again 👎🏻 We never seem to have a full team
  15. Belle Vue is a different type of track. Much better for passing so should be okay. More than one race line 👍🏻
  16. Where was he when his country needed him last few years? Now he returns when we are straight to the final 🤔 I like Nicholls but his form has been worse than Cook & Harris esp at home.
  17. @Justinsedgmen Thank you @RorySchlein3 glad some one cares about riders safety ! Wasn't right the way you where spoken to as well ! Feel for ya ! #disgrace
  18. How come we didn't get one of these rider by rider guides Friday 😉Only get them for the meetings you win
  19. Sounds like a shocker. Why wasn't it called off sooner instead of keeping fans waiting for 2 and a half hours! Yes we all know Batchelor doesn't like a drop of water so usually sulks like a lost puppy but from updates on Twitter it seems that the track was a mess from heavy rain and not good viewing. I feel sorry for all the fans who made the journey 👎🏻
  20. Congratulations to Poole tonight who gave an all round better team performance. We had a shocker which is no surprise as we have been rubbish away all season except for against lower teams like King's Lynn & Leicester. Hoping that this is the last meeting we see of Barker with Garrity nearly ready to come back. Poor from King compared to how good he's been lately & inconsistent from Harris who got a 5-1 & 8-0 with KK plus and EX but then no where in his others. Only one plus for us and that Kaspazak who only dropped one point all night. He's amazing at the moment. God help us in the 3 meetings where we have to use a 6pt PL instead of him due to the SEC 🙈
  21. Why does Woryna do a lap of honour when he comes last! Does it everywhere we go. Embarrassing. Sounds like KK is flying
  22. Where have I made an excuse? So are you saying Bates made up his injury & didn't sit out the weekend? Pooles not his best track anyway. As for Woryna & Barker what excuses have I made for them? The reason we are losing is the same reason you lost Monday, we are crap
  23. Can excuse Bates as he's riding with a knee injury, but no excuses for Woryna. & Barker! Now do you see why I predicted 58-32 Thanks god for Kaspazak
  24. Doubt it. You will get 10-2 just from the 2 reserve races alone Sarjeant doesn roll, he anticipates it and sometimes goes too early. There's a difference. However it still gets annoying. There's also a difference in the amount of years they have been riding & experience they have
  25. I can't see Swindon being as poor again. They were up against a inform Wolves team who are unbeaten at home. King's Lynn have improved abit but still very hit and miss and they have raced against lower table teams. Think this is going to be very close.
