COVENTRY'S second Elite League trip of the season to Swindon has been switched to Monday, July 4.
The meeting was due to take place on June 30 but will now take place four days later and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
Sky will also be making a second visit of 2016 to Brandon next month, following the Buildbase Bees' highly entertaining last-heat decider win over Wolverhampton in May.
That will occur on Monday July 11 for the Coventry v King's Lynn fixture, which was already scheduled to take place on that date.
You know how crazy this season is when not only is Bridger at reserve for Lakeside but even more crazy is Pedersen at reserve for Poole and PK at reserve for Wolves!!
Teams like Coventry, King's Lynn (& now Swindon) with draft riders at reserve haven't got a chance against those type of riders
I get the feeling it won't on this track. Lots of positives about the ability to have good racing and passing on it.
If a rider then can't gate or pass, they don't deserve to make the final.
Looking forward to it.
I thought Horton said no riders wanted to ride in the uk yet Wolves have managed to bring PK in to replace Bech easily enough. Unless he would only ride for them.
Will be interesting to see if other teams are able to make changes (although I doubt Leicester would have signed Watt if lots out there)
Good replacement for Wolves and strengthens them as Bech had been poor. (I wish they had waited till after Monday though 😉)
Looking at averages, won't PK be at reserve!
I wonder if it has changed as when Rory got injured at home to Coventry, a reserve was used to replace him rather than mads or Kai.
Then when Cook was withdrawn in the sky meeting, A reserve was used rather than Fricke or Richie (although could have been down to Steve riding better on the night)
In Swindon's meeting against King's Lynn, Tungate was also replaced by a reserve rather than any of the other team riders when yet Rohan had the 2nd highest average at the time.
It all points towards the rule being changed. It's a bit unfair to teams if it has, as if a rider gets injured esp by an opposing rider then why should they be punished.
Well done to King's Lynn tonight. Great to see Rose have such a good night in the main body of the team. Batchelor still must be a concern.
I think Stevebrum might have jinxed Lindgren. He's not scored double figures since our debate 😉
Tungate moved from reserve 😉
It only counted when guesting. Not riding for your own team which Brady did on his previous visit.
However I'm sure I read it had been scrapped this year.
Out of the 16 riders in the field, 9 of them are either Coventry or Belle Vue riders! 👍🏻
Coventry 5, Belle Vue 4, Leicester 2, King's Lynn 1, Lakeside 1, Wolves 1, Swindon 0, Poole 0
