  1. Updates from the meeting: Brandon Wood Farm site was rejected due to the greenbelt status of the land. Some the campaigners find disappointing. Jeremy Heaver Heaver says several sites have been looked at. The Butts was explored as an option as the owners expressed an interest in using the venue as a multi-purpose venue. This was eventually ruled out due to restrictions with space. They also looked at a site at Lyng Hall and Ansty Park and an industrial site in Nuneaton which all failed for various reasons. Jeremy Heaver also said Brandon Wood Farm was the site they held out most hope for but it was met with opposition from Rugby Borough Council due to the site being green belt. He said the council insisted speedway should stay at the existing stadium and were talking to owners about keeping motorsport at Brandon. He added that he felt this was unlikely to happen Mick Horton Coventry Bees man Mick Horton is now speaking. He said: I have visited many of these sites and talked to Coventry City Council. He added: We have had many many meetings and discussions are ongoing. Were talking and we will continue talking. We have looked at all our options and well keep our fingers crossed. Theres not a lot we can do. Coun Stokes, leader of Rugby Council, says the council has no role in this at the moment. He says Rugby Borough Council has no ownership of the site, no power to stop it being sold or to make an owner use it for a particular purpose. He adds there is no business link between the new owners and former owner Avtar Sandhu. Coun Stokes also insists there is no secret planning application being considered. Coun Stokes says he is in talks with the new owners of the stadium site. He says he is passionate about keeping speedway there. He says he has underlined the importance of the facility to the local community and region. He says the stadium owners havent told him to go away. He wants the stadium to stay there and says the site is not designated for housing in the councils local plan. Pete Lawrence says "There is no prospect of a new stadium in 2017 and it is likely that will be the case for the next five years."
  2. Yes but Kaspazak achieved his riding at number 1 whilst Lindgren achieved his mainly as a second string. Adam Ellis had a 8 average but his was at reseve so that doesn't mean he's as good as Doyle who achieved his as a heatleader.
  3. Kaspazak won the SEC challenger today (1,3,3,3,3) Will that still mean a 6pt PL rider for him when he is missing due to it against Lakeside & Leicester away?
  4. On both Lindgren's visits to Brandon this year he has been a 2nd string so hardly strengthens us. Hoping he can score well in the tougher no 1 position for us. He's been in good form so far although struggled today in the SEC challenger whilst KK won it.
  5. Averages from 30th May are now available No new changes for Belle Vue, Coventry KING'S LYNN Wilkinson returns to reseve & Jacobsen will be a 2nd string. LAKESIDE Bridger moves to reserve. Kerr moves into the main body of the team. Kennett will be a 2nd string after replacing Piotr. LEICESTER Auty & Wozniak move to reserve and Starke and Klindt will be 2nd strings. POOLE Newman already returns to reserve. Ellis moves to a 2nd string position. Holder returns to a heatleader. SWINDON Wright returns to reseve (after good spell in top 5) Sedgmen becomes a heatleader and Josh a 2nd string. WOLVERHAMPTON Howarth returns to reserve. Masters becomes a heat leader.
  6. Don't agree that it would strength us as KK has been scoring well most meetings from a no 1 spot. Lindgren scored well at Brandon as a 2nd string.
  7. You would think so and I think you could be right. However I would have said the same against Poole & Wolves and yet we beat them. Belle Vue did look very good on Monday though 😬
  8. Sadly I agree. It's not looking good
  9. I saw @jacobthorssell say that the track was crap a few weeks ago and got nothing but abuse from the Poole fans. Is the track still good or?
  10. Lots of riders slating the state of the track on Twitter although they don't seem surprised so I assume it's never great. It was only a couple of weeks ago Thorssell was calling it dangerous.
  11. Great win for Belle Vue 👏 Now the biggest task will be finding riders brave enough to go out in heat 15. 😂
  12. Really? I've seen Hans ride like that plenty of times. It's called S**t riding. 🙈🙈 Poole rely a lot on home track advantage.
  13. Terrible sportsmanship from Pedersen staying down there after some s**t riding. Harsh for Belle Vue. Sod's law Hans will win the rerun.
  14. Belle Vue had to delay the start of the season due to problems with the track yet riders are allowed to race on this? This track is an accident waiting to happen. When your own rider openly says it's disgusting, you know it's bad.
  15. Ouch. Holder just said the Poole track is terrible! Worrall confirms you have to watch out for the holes 🙈 Confirmed what we already knew. Looks very bumpy and ruts are back.
  16. Is Holder not showing commitment to Poole then? Will fans want him gone like they did Watt? Replaces clearly show Cook didn't jump.
