  1. Auty needs to turn the corner i believe he will tonight needs to do it, i recon minimum he will score 10 pts from five rides.!
  2. His statement is laughable,if someone like Hancock moans then you know there must be a problem.Out of say 100 incidents i bet Pedersen is involved in 60 per cent of them there has to be a reason for this?He should of just opologised about Saturday and moved on now he is a marked man and the bully has been exposed.
  3. He probably wanted to say this yonks ago, Pedersen has got away with murder for years. From now on hopefully the GP riders will be looking for him i hope so what comes around! Plus i would not think Scott would loose any sleep worrying about Pedersen, far from it last Saturday he looked a sad figure s... himself a glorified bully.
  4. Send him to a fete, the young generation would love it,! i think he keeps speedway at least with the other fashions and sport. But he can back it up on the track i am a bit of a old fart but it is great that Wooffy can identify with the young generation they hopefully will be the future fans of our sport.
  5. Great post his dad was an exciting rider, and yes he would be proud of his lad a great ambassador for our sport as well.
  6. He could of broke both of Zagar's legs did you forget that? With Pedersen there has been numerous incidents over the years and he is still there with that big smug grin!I don't think he would of had that grin, over the years with the likes of Gresham,Millen,Browning,Clarke,Argall,Templeton,J.Beaton,Broadbanks,(ect)
  7. I would not get rid of anyone to keep Klindt, he is decent but he is one of the most frustrating riders i have seen in the last 5 years. If Mellgren comes back to a decent level, i am sure Auty, Birks,Jorgensen will improve i would stick to that line up.
  8. After this weekend i had to reflect on how wrong i have been about Tai,i have always thought Tai was a very talented rider but the last two years his progress and momentum has been staggering. He deserves everything he gets and the frightening thing is how many championships can he win? he could be in the mix for the next decade if he wants to.Have to say that the win in the Final on Saturday was one of the best rides i have ever seen i was wrong i just wonder how many of you were wrong as well?.I have had a bet on Ward/ Puk against the field in the WC but i hope Tai retains the title.
  9. I won't miss him because he is reckless,Zagar was damn lucky went in both legs first also was lucky his bike didnt collect him also.A three time world champion never in my list of great champions never has never will be hard but be FAIR!
  10. I loved the days of a regular 1 to.7 , the fans could identify with them and would often have a favourite.Having 4 or 5 pointers in the team who were a valuable member of the team was great and they usually stayed for a long time. When i first went Briggo was the star but i loved watching Clive Hitch he was no star but loyal and exciting to watch. We have lost that a bit now, that is why I was so disappointed that Birmingham did not win the league last year they morally did for me turning up with a regular 1 to 7.
  11. That would be great "Paulco" that's the way i would go more variation the EL is dying on its feet. Can these promoters work together though.?
  12. I don't blame you what I have seen you have a better product, "spin king i was being selfish i have not been to Owlerton since 1986 i always enjoyed going the Moran bros great riders.
  13. Would be a great addition to the EL a superb track and facilities good supporters it won't ever happen though will it? because of the greyhounds? great if it did .
  14. What a great post Hunter, 82 Lee had a nightmare year never looked comfortable all year regrouped and had a great recovery year at Poole. I can remember Malc at Milton Keynes in 79 i was there at Milton Keynes the last big final Humphreys, Grahame,Harrrison,Holloway.the finale late September typicall,Malc gated like a long dog and he was gone bob and Andy were classy riders hard to beat at the Gtoveway.
  15. FInn Jensen? No i am chuffed for Nicolai on Thursday at the abbey he rode his bollocks off did really well.
  16. I was gutted when Crash was eliminated but i was a big Ray Wilson fan and supported him at Wembley.Grahame that was a massive shock, this meeting certainly was my biggest low in speedway Malc Holloway qualified and had qualified through a mega tough british semi final at Birmingham.I felt he had a chance 7 pts was nearly good anough to qualify but Malc just did not perform i remember Wiggy as a NL guy mixing it well.
  17. Briggs record from1961. - 1972. was 6 wins, 4 second places, and a third place pretty awesome in mega tough fields.I was never a fan of the meeting really, never liked Coventry much i went to my first one in 75 and was gutted when Ashby got beat in a run off. I also went in 77,78 both Lee, 1980 Jessup 82.An Grahame. 84, 85 both Carter and my last one in 86 Evitts.Did anyone else go? to any of the Finals when they were ridden at West Ham and Sheffield (ect).
  18. I have followed it but please "iris have you have any news? i have a couple of friends who are well involved with greyhounds they have said all might not be lost involving speedway probably rubbish wondering if anyone had any news.
  19. A shame City really see a really good greyhound meeting on the other night there looked a bit tired on its last legs as a stadium. Was so surprised what Dingle Brown said on the dvd it would cost at least 5 grand a meeting for rental to even contemplate racing returning
  20. WImbledon what a loss this venue is to British speedway, when you went there there was a aura about the place a great stadium and a nice little race strip.Watching this brings back great memories with the great Ronnie,Tommy, and Briggo.Has anyone any news is there zilch chance of racing returning to Plough lane.? http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=W5C3fdqGCjs
  21. Some good racing, i am not a lover of Prague so was pleased it was a half decent meeting.Pedersen a disgrace again why does this bloke do it?stuck Greg bigtime be tough but be fair again he oversteps the mark.
  22. I can remember the Kylingstad 15 point max he was decent, i can always remember ( what a joke but right really in 1974 ) Boocock who had broke his arm at Newport badly was aloud to start at reserve he scored 14 points took the pee Eric was a class act though.
  23. I can't believe the season he is having,is it the lack of meetings sharpness?.Apart from a great 14 and paid 12 at Sheffield with one 14 point total at home with a reasonable 9 at Newcastle that's it.Is he riding better than his scores i don't know?i hope he can turn it around as he is my favourite rider in the PL.
  24. Remember that Yerropes" i can remember Rolf beating Mauger in one meeting he had quality.Rogers signed him for Leicester and he really improved bigtime.Mastrup,Holloway , Gramstad ,Henry ( was decent ) the old second halves were great.I Can always remember a young Robert Craven having a spin i think in 1979 i have a feeling Louis Carr and John WIlliams were there as well.
  25. A great picture of Simmo on the front of the star this week, fully deserved legend easy for anyone to say but he was that good.
