  1. Totally agree Baggy - there is still a huge difference between the divisions. Yes it is narrowing a there is much greater crossover but it us still there.
  2. I thought those reductions were only due when seasons were missed through injury and 'cant be arsed' isnt an injury in my book
  3. Makes no odds really as neither Nicholls or Kennett wouldve gone anywhere near Worky
  4. That sounds like a similar choice you make when deciding if the woman youve just met is worthy of a 2nd date.....
  5. It shouldve been - This is the structure - which league (if any) do you wish to run in And I say this as an Ipswich fan. If the revised structure was genuinely to improve the overall future of British Speedway then it should be fit in or ship out.
  6. Perhaps the promoters left the agm all thinking that no one was barred Only when certain riders turned certain promoters down was the proposal made and introduced......
  7. So 2.24 becomes 2 and 2.76 becomes 3 So 2 riders .52 apart are changed to 1 point apart The lower rider may well be very sought after and the higher rider not so....
  8. It as close to being relevant than a points per ride average.....
  9. But where does the leeway stop? Allow one team to use a rider that 0.03 over and then another team asks to use a rider 0.06 over - its only the same leeway over the agreed leeway. Soon gets silly......
  10. To be fair it not a difficult concept to grasp (or shouldnt be) Thanks Grachan for taking the time to type out the explanation!
  11. A team scoring 46 match points will have a total average around 42.50 for team building not 46
  12. Gradings are more unfair than averages There always has to be a cut off somewhere How do you set the gradings? Most likely using average bands. So instead of all teams building to 42.50 you have 1 grade A (9 point+) 2 Grade B (7.50 to 9) 2 Grade C (4.50 to 7.50) 1 Grade D (3 to 4.50) 1 Grade E (under 3) Team 1 signs riders on 10, 8.99, 8.99, 7.49, 7.49, 4.49 and 2.99 - 50.44 Team 2 riders on 9, 7.5, 7.5, 4.5, 4.5, 3 and 2 - 38 Extreme example perhaps but gradings would be less likely to achieve parity of teams and riders woukd still not fit due to being 0.01 over the limit and being put in the next grading
  13. Id call it common sense - thats why only a few manage it
  14. Proctor should 5.5 (7.15÷1.3) from his Championship average as he didnt have a Premiership place TJ is different as he achieved a Premiership average and so his Championship figure is irrelevant
  15. That must be Ipswich and Redcar then as I believe all was set for Leicester and Sheffield to swap despite the result of the promotiin/relegation play off had Thursday been agreed for the Premiership. Shouldve called their bluff and stuck to what was agreed as the best way forward.....
  16. Fee must surely be higher for a National Champion
  17. So are will still claiming Rohan as a Witch??? Congratulations to the new Australian Champion
  18. So swap and share before the season has even started....
  19. Most seem to have pinned the predictions on getting Scott Anybody got a 1-7 without him - which is more likely unfortunately.....
