  1. so 42.53 against a limit of 40 without having ridden since redclaration without a like for like change.....
  2. I agree actually Scotsman. Yes we will all give a bit of banter when it happens but at least it shows they are bothered. What I dont like is the opposite when riders obviously dont give a s#!t and just give up
  3. Looks like Cookie doesnt want his reputation over shadowed by Ritchie and has taken it out on the phone at Somerset 😜😜
  4. Looked to me that it was too grippy on the entry to the turns meaning that the riders had to 'coast' in rather than attack it to be confident of getting a comfortable exit
  5. Re the arguement that the result should be called despite not running heat 10 as the result want in doubt. The regulations don't allow it so it cannot/should not happen. Look at the regulation re averages and the requirement for 4 home 4 away. There is provision to award a new average without this being met and it still is not so why would it be decided to make an award of a match result where there is no such provision in any circumstance.
  6. not allowed as not like for like. Cant just take the combined averages. If make a double change then have to come below 40. Would need to shed about 2.50 points so would be Scott and another 2 pointer with Connor moving into the 1-5. Dont see that as an improvement myself.
  7. A point worth noting re the meeting is that it could easily not gone ahead with Barabara Horley being taken ill beforehand (best wishes to her btw) Take a bow Mark Styles for stepping in at the last minute. It mustve been a daunting prospect particularly at such short notice. 👍👏 Dont think there were any glaring errors. Perhaps when Lambert was on his tac ride and Nathan nearly lost it having rounded him off turn 2 it couldve been seen as dangerous/out of control but 50/50
  8. Good to meet up with you CookieIpswich 👍 Hopefully we didnt put you off wanting to come and sit with us again 😆
  9. Comfortably the poorest meeting of the season so far 😪😪
  10. Changes could only be like for like now anyway as the team total is above 40. A double chain would mean shedding nearly 2 points
  11. For any meetings on or after 3/6 Perks will have his new average and wont be at reserve
  12. whoever wins out in this one its gonna be awkward agreeing dates. With Sheffield you have the 2 Thursday night track issue With Edinburgh you have - well just Edinburgh 😜
  13. No point in signing him if he isnt. Surely there would be no facility for him either if he were to ride elsewhere.
  14. The Witches should have enough to win and stop Newcastle taking a point but only just. 8 to 12 point win 😃
  15. when our group at Foxhall starting making all sorts of noise I think we did literally wake a few up - one poor old dear almost dropped a stitch in her knitting too 😆
  16. Blown over in the storms of 1987 (??) I think.I believe it was originally part of the football ground at Portman Road before being moved to Foxhall. Ironically I now sit in the new stand right above the section of terrace that Id stand on with my dad as a youngster. Used to collect up the sweets thrown into the crowd during the parade. Also liked to get much closer when you were able to stand right up behind the stock car fence. Ah the old red and white steel panels - perfect to hide behind as protection from the the flying shale.
  17. Just think what fun you could have if the new average only included the matches in those 2 weeks..... Perhaps next year 😜
  18. stays at 40 all season. Initial set of regulations did state BOTH leagues would have a redeclaration limit at 42 but this apparently was a mistake. A supplementry reg was then issued clarifying this was in fact Prem only and Championship would remain 40
  19. The most frustrating part is that it is such a simple principle/calculation. With just some minor complexity it would be possible to have worked out conversion factors expected for not only 2016 EL/PL but also for cross league cross year calculations which would have enabled rolling averages to be used whatever combination of rider participation between leagues in each year. This couldve meant a true one rider one average situation without the need to have riders on unachievable 12+ figures if it was desired.
  20. which is all well and good when you know what the average of the rider is. There is however no confirmed conversion rate between the 2 leagues as yet. Supposedly a committee or perhaps an individual is assessing the scores of riders doing both leagues before deciding what the new multiplier should be. No decision was expected until all Prem teams had completed 4 h 4a. This could well be mid June. Until then it seems year start figures stand for Prem only riders (although Championships riders completing 4h 4a seem to be using these new averages in Prem redeclaration eg Kerr and now Lambert) Meanwhile a rider like Tungate appears to be in limbo not knowing if he will be 5.09 9.03 or possibly anywhere in between. All this is quite riduculous as a revised conversion was straightforward at 1.25 just by looking at the starting limits at 50 and 40 respectively. Leaving it until now just opens up all sorts of problems - not least of which is accusation of average manipulation and potential claims of favouritism if the eventual new figure announced differs from the obvious and appears to favour particular teams looking at changes.
  21. Wont Holder Starke and BWD get their new figures imminently? These would take you above 40 and mean any changes have to be like for like or shed the points back to 40 In which case Ellis would only fit for one of the top 5 and not either reserve and to replace Bacon would have to be a 2 pointer The only viable option there to make any real difference is Shanes Now if you have pulled that one off it is a masterstroke......
