  1. if they lose tonight as seems likely and slip up at home to scunny then we are in even if we lose both our last 2.The pussycats would be in as well with that scenario.....
  2. cant see it taking place - after all there is a slim chance if it did with some freak results actually leaving the Monarchs out of the play off places!
  3. just so long as there are some bacon ones please.....if not you need to get back out to the shop!
  4. I noticed it whilst watching live and was surprised it was not clamped down on. Ive seen it a few times from Rohan in his stint with the Witches along with a fair few opposing riders so dont think it is an isolated incident. I seem to remember a claim that it was not the wheel spinning rather just the disc (cant remember from who). Not sure if this us even feasible???
  5. go on you take the crisps! Will switch to fairy cakes - they went down well last week.
  6. One mans snidey little pops are anothers light hearted banter - each to there own. That it is aimed at the Panthers is just down to the fact that the goings on there lend themselves so open to it. wink Underneath it are more serious points around league structure and cost bases etc but feel free to ignore us knobs when we do try to debate these.....
  7. I will out my name down for taking a crisp assortment!
  8. We should have enough to pick up the win we need but could be a tight one. Its a shame Lambert isnt there but at least it gives us a chance to give Lewi Kerr a massif warm welcome back.
  9. ouch - hadnt seen anything about that.Horses for courses then...
  10. one step back to take two steps forward as the old saying goes.... wink
  11. certainly far from over.. Neither away match for Witches and Sheff is one you would expect them to get a point from and both the home matches are the potential banana skin type.
  12. Arson is a good guy macca - as are others in this little 'spat' - including yourself fella! Seems to have blown up out of all proportion IMO. Whilst I havent met many of them I have enjoyed plenty of intelligent posts from all of them and a number of enlightening PMs My general impression is that they are mature gents with extensive knowledge of the sport and a variety of solid connections at many levels - rather like yourself macca! All also can have a rather light hearted slant to some replies although never with any malice - just an ability not to take things TOO seriously at all times. Again not too unlike yourself. Given all that I actually think that you would all get on like a house on fire with a chat over a pint. Time to shake hands and move on.....
  13. Unsurprisingly Im right behind Danny! The way Stead looked on Thursday though Id say he must be favourite. Very open field with the majority of the field capable of taking the title IMO. nb need to pick the splinters out my backside from the fence Im obviously on!!
  14. Boro have Rye at home and Edinburgh away I think. Sheffield Rye away and Scunny at home. We need to match or better their results from our 2 Newcastle matches to qualify. No counting chickens. If you were Newcastle who would you prefer in the play offs at the moment - a rampant Witches, a stuttering Sheffield or and imploding Peterborough........ every incentive for them to put a spanner in the works. Hashtag backinourownhands Hashtag getthejobdone wink
  15. Get in!! Lets hope its not all for nothing on the end. Super Morten sealing it in 14 just for Baldyman! wink
  16. shows why the play offs were introduced. Not only those fixtures themselves will bring in good crowds but a significant number of other fixtures still have some meaning where otherwise they wouldnt. Can only be good for the business of a number of tracks......
  17. Lots of talk of a pussycat slip potentially letting the Witches in but little about Workys big chance. 4 points for them and a Redcar win over Ipswich puts Worky in the driving seat IMO.... So Im hoping for a draw!
  18. The Teflon kid as I say he should now be known. After all he has survived the whole season at Peterborough....
  19. depends if the track staff have the competence to deal with it - unlike at certain other tracks..... wink
  20. This must be about the 6th 'must win' away match for the Witches! Hope the weather holds and the boys do us proud. Lets put some pressure on those pussycats....
  21. Comfortable win for the Witches - solid all round performance. Some good scraps despite the score. Even as a Witches fan theres one rider I pick out for special praise - Simon Stead Classy from him to reel off 4 straight wins (including ending Dannys 30 heat winning streak at Foxhall) after a dodgy heat 1. Also showed his class acknowledging his away support at the end. Top man.
