  1. certainly far from over.. Neither away match for Witches and Sheff is one you would expect them to get a point from and both the home matches are the potential banana skin type.
  2. Arson is a good guy macca - as are others in this little 'spat' - including yourself fella! Seems to have blown up out of all proportion IMO. Whilst I havent met many of them I have enjoyed plenty of intelligent posts from all of them and a number of enlightening PMs My general impression is that they are mature gents with extensive knowledge of the sport and a variety of solid connections at many levels - rather like yourself macca! All also can have a rather light hearted slant to some replies although never with any malice - just an ability not to take things TOO seriously at all times. Again not too unlike yourself. Given all that I actually think that you would all get on like a house on fire with a chat over a pint. Time to shake hands and move on.....
  3. Unsurprisingly Im right behind Danny! The way Stead looked on Thursday though Id say he must be favourite. Very open field with the majority of the field capable of taking the title IMO. nb need to pick the splinters out my backside from the fence Im obviously on!!
  4. Boro have Rye at home and Edinburgh away I think. Sheffield Rye away and Scunny at home. We need to match or better their results from our 2 Newcastle matches to qualify. No counting chickens. If you were Newcastle who would you prefer in the play offs at the moment - a rampant Witches, a stuttering Sheffield or and imploding Peterborough........ every incentive for them to put a spanner in the works. Hashtag backinourownhands Hashtag getthejobdone wink
  5. Get in!! Lets hope its not all for nothing on the end. Super Morten sealing it in 14 just for Baldyman! wink
  6. shows why the play offs were introduced. Not only those fixtures themselves will bring in good crowds but a significant number of other fixtures still have some meaning where otherwise they wouldnt. Can only be good for the business of a number of tracks......
  7. Lots of talk of a pussycat slip potentially letting the Witches in but little about Workys big chance. 4 points for them and a Redcar win over Ipswich puts Worky in the driving seat IMO.... So Im hoping for a draw!
  8. The Teflon kid as I say he should now be known. After all he has survived the whole season at Peterborough....
  9. depends if the track staff have the competence to deal with it - unlike at certain other tracks..... wink
  10. This must be about the 6th 'must win' away match for the Witches! Hope the weather holds and the boys do us proud. Lets put some pressure on those pussycats....
  11. Comfortable win for the Witches - solid all round performance. Some good scraps despite the score. Even as a Witches fan theres one rider I pick out for special praise - Simon Stead Classy from him to reel off 4 straight wins (including ending Dannys 30 heat winning streak at Foxhall) after a dodgy heat 1. Also showed his class acknowledging his away support at the end. Top man.
  12. absolutely - actually think he would love it mind!! Megaphone siren at the ready too to warn the others when hes off the inside....
  13. So long as we get 50+ I'll be happy. Just as important to be consistent and get 50+ at Redcar. No point getting 60 at home and then 40 away..... Both will be tough - whatever will be will be as they say.
  14. i will defend the pussycats on this one. There may be 2 matches but it only constitutes 1 meeting therefore you cannot call off one and run the other whether you want to or not.
  15. none whatsoever - just a bit of mischievious speculation.... wink perhaps this is more on the mark. If 2 new single dates have/can be agreed then this surely would be much better financially than a double header...
  16. If all of what is being claimed is the case whats the point of Pboro qualifying for the play offs anyway? In October this type/amount of rain will be prevelant and without the warm sun to assist the drying there will be little hope if getting a meting on at the showground.....
  17. Just watched the Anglia weather for tomorrow after the news.... What are those strange yellow spikey symbols?? There were an awful lot of them spread all over the map.....
