  1. Looking through updates it seems like a fair bit of carnage today. Hope everyones ok.
  2. Good score for Campo Jenga - does that mean he has pushed over that 5 point average that you thought he would make mince meat of??
  3. Golden heats in the event of an aggregate tie so no replay Mick.
  4. Does the guest rule stay for the whole play off? Eg if Sheffield go out cab Bates then guest for BWD or still barred?
  5. First leg is at Somerset on Fri 7th with 2nd leg at Foxhall Thurs 13th. I think the Witches are capable of beating any team by 20 at Foxhall (not saying they will but capable) so anything under that can be attacked. Rebels would be big favourites with any lead over 14 though with it even between 8-14 and Witches favourites at 8 or less. I think we can do it - up the Witches!!
  6. Sarj had a dodgy first few meetings for the Witches but since then has been superb.
  7. And weve also seen Ayres Bewley Hume and others do very nicely and Perry Morley Williamson Carr given a chance again that they were unlikely to have gotten without the new No7 rule. All have shown we dont need the Konopkas Holubs etc filling reseve berths....
  8. again disagree. The league structure should be set and the teams that enter mould around that not the teams that enter mould the league. There needs to be a more long term view. Its not just about who wins the league this year or next. Where have I said restrict the Brits?? Quite the opposite in fact.
  9. but he hasnt been away from British Speedway like Alden was...Under current rules has to be converted EL
  10. Thats enough talk about back door entries macca!! lol
  11. Lets not get carried away - we may have bought a ticket but we are a long way off winning the lottery yet.....
  12. think we may have 2nd leg on 13th.Sure its been said that stadium not available on 6th due to big dtick car event at weekend. So could be more a damage limitation to give someting to aim for.
  13. totally disagree. As the 2nd tier in British Speedway the PL should be about building a platform for emerging British riders to progress. Filling it with ageing foreign former EL riders will just inhibit that.
  14. absolutely agree although you could argue Adam spent a fair time at heat leader position as well. Also think there should be priority on Brits particularly younger/less experienced but if that means he retains his 4.67 I think it would be unfair. Dont want the PL won by the team finding the best ringer - dont want to copy the EL. The PL shouldnt be for the likes Batch Bjerre Schlein Watt etc to use on their way down.... Thats the part that needs to be addressed.
  15. so 7.84 if current 1.4 conversion retained.Which is IMO a decent reflection of his true standing now if he were to return to the PL.
  16. Adam Ellis has been highlighted on a number of threads as the potential super signing on his 4.67 (rightly so IMO) but having not ridden PL for 2 full seasons and this year obtaining an official EL average surely he would be on a ridiculous converted figure???? Is he even under 6 in EL and elligible at all (without a rule change)
