Just how small the crowd was at Redcar surprised me. No more than 500 was my guess. I hope it can be worked out as what I saw was what could be a great race track. On Thursday it was very slick and dry but the potential for a multi line exciting racing strip was obvious.

I thought the crowd level was decent although not like a 'bumper' bank holiday one. The stands looked about a quarter full so thats a thousand or so and with a few hundred standing. Id say any PL club would love that every week.

An excellent meeting tonight with some top drawer racing. Track was perfect tonight IMO. Shame that only Danny ended up with a max. Shame also that now we have to wait til June 11th for the next home match.

I think unless we get out of the starts a bit better we wont run away with it. Bjerre,Robson,Kus and Roynon are certainly capable of heat wins Expect a 16 ish Witches win.

Glad I made the effort. In many ways the draw wouldve been the fair result - tough on Redcar to get nothing. Track was dry and slick but looked very smooth. Thought it would suit Rohan - gate and go - but only hit the front once and immediately let Graversen through off bend 2 in his first ride.Never got close to a race win after that. Danny class -as usual. Nuff said! Nico - battled brilliantly and able to pass despite the conditions. My man of the match Gino - never really got going but didnt make a single start so was always struggling. Stefan - started strongly and had it not been for the ef and then the fall may well have earned an extra ride. Ritchie - vital wins in 2 and 14 and solid in between.Did his job and more besides. Dont think r/r at 4 works for us - would be better at 2. Would also help Gino who is on a hiding to nothing there.

so do I. Track looks a bit patchy. Looks dry and quite slick. Strong breeze as well but a few spits of rain in the air. A short shower before it starts could do it good.

Im expecting it to be just my son and me cheering on the Witches. Fingers crossed they can produce a track to last 15 heats and that we can actually ride/race it.

I need to be positive about things as Im planning to be at Redcar this week and dont think I can face it unless I concvince myself things will get better!! I hope the Plymouth match can be the watershed for the season. Onwards and upwards from here. We are a much better team than we have shown so far.

On the ref decisions - Aside from Gino in heat 1 I thought all the others were the right call. The Rohan one was closer to 50/50 perhaps but still right IMO. I know nothing of 'arm pump' - is it purely a physical reaction or can there be a stress/pressure related ekement too??
