GP line-up for 2026
Gavan replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Why do they have to bring something new Yes I’d have Emil and Laguta but it won’t happen So ruling them out who would you have ? I want the best 15 riders not just new riders for the sake of it Who? Who is better than Doyle , Fricke and Michelsen and Vaculik apart from Dudek Someone new will get in if they are good enough … I think you forget that Kurtz qualified he didn’t have a wild card Woryna is new this year because he deserved it and qualified Look at the riders who didn’t qualify through the challenge Cierniak, Wolbert , Gusts and Pollestad are the only riders who have never ridden a GP season….. you want one of those over a Doyle or Vaculik …. Seriously?? -

No chance you can have 15 riders as possible challengers … whoever gets i someone has to finish 10th and someone 15th Is Doyle one of the top 15 riders in the world? Is Fricke? Is Michelsen? Answers are yes…… doesn’t mean any of them will make the podium -

Doyle has to get a wildcard Crashed out mid GP when on 5 points … missed a Gp then rode injured in 2 GP … He would have finished above Michelsen possibly Fricke and maybe Lambert There simply is no argument to put anyone who finished below him back in Fricke and Doyle it has to be then maybe Michelsen -
Yeah he speaks well and comes across well… spoke to him at Ipswich earlier in the season and is level headed … need a to kick on again and next year is his for the taking And no BZ is not in the same level as Rickardsson he is more of a racer where as Tony was more of a trapper however you can only beat what is in front of you

You lose the argument when you throw threats around Have a little look over the thread I said I think Kurtz will be world champion next year However fact is as good as he was he wasn’t better than Zmarzlik this year You could say Mark Loram who didn’t win a round didn’t deserve it…. But of course he did he got the most points unfortunately as alluded by many on this forum Belle Vue fans can’t take any kind of discussion that doesn’t favour their own riders

Ipswich v Belle Vue POSF Leg 2
Gavan replied to blue witch's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
So Belle Vue fans can spend their hard earned money all season only to see their top rider not being bothered in the clubs biggest meeting of the season Yes Brady has bigger fish to fry but Doyle needs a good GP to try and get a wildcard next season ….. he would not have wanted to miss Vojens …. But you didn’t see him not trying ….. I also think Bewley would have done much better in good conditions and Kurtz still wouldn’t try -

Kings Lynn had a Gp star at reserve this season which didn’t do them any good in the long run All about how your team is built and Belle Vue got it wrong Having said that riders like Blodorn and Cook who are atrocious at Foxhall stepped it up massively last night only to be let down by the big 2…… can’t count Lidsey as he was never likely to do well in those conditions -
Ipswich v Belle Vue POSF Leg 2

There is no way in the world it should have been called off … no riders or the referee even looked at the track …. To many riders these days can’t stand a bit of a tricky track because of the weather mainly Aussies to be fair Doyle , King , Brennan , Ellis and Thompson all overtook riders last night …. Even Edwards from the graveyard gate 4 rode around the outside on the first 2 bends to join Doyle ….. some riders wanted it and some didn’t Lidsey away from the vast open spaces of his home track is a gating tart and was never likely to pass or attempt to pass anyone I would have suggested if there wasn’t a GP next weekend then Bewley would have had a proper go at getting past Dan T but he was content to sit third Kurtz is Belle Vue captain ….. King said afterwards the pressure to perform as captain is high and Brady didn’t bother … shutting off all the time and even when he had the coveted inside gate he didn’t bother …. If your captain can’t be interested what message does that send to the rest of the team ? Let’s say Kurtz signs again for the aces … would any young rider look up to him knowing that when it comes to the crunch he can’t be bothered
