Ah it’s only at the end of the season that Kurtz didn’t try at Foxhall I’m sure he will be fine at this early stage …. You can’t really put Bewley and trying in the same sentence as Kurtz as Bewley puts 110% into very meeting Should be an absolute walk in the park for Belle Vue this one Legends like Doyle and Emil have gone to be replaced by Lawson who hates the place and Musielek who had 12 races there last season and scored 7 each time We have no Ellis who also goes well there and he is replaced by Nicholls who by his own admission can’t ride Belle Vue and is possibly worse at Belle Vue then riders like Blodorn and Cook are at Foxhall which is hard to believe Kurtz and Bewley should max out easily Cook and Blodorn go well at home as does Tate This will be the worst track for Ipswich all season to go to ….. and the same for Belle Vue at our place…. Trouble is this time we don’t have replaced riders that used to go ok at Belle Vue with riders who don’t I can see Belle Vue getting 55 minimum tonight Back at Foxhall the class of Bewley and Kurtz will keep it closer than previous meetings and we may if lucky get 48-50 at home

Tigers vs Lions KO Cup 16/04/26 19:30
Gavan replied to IainB's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
This poster talking about the elephant is a Belle Vue fan who on pretty much every thread harps on about how tracks don’t provide good racing … apart from Belle Vue obviously The whole speedway forum knows Belle Vue has the best track and best racing and unless there is 20 overtakes a meeting every other track is poor You can get great racing at tracks inferior to Belle Vue there doesn’t have to be overtaking to provide a great race I may be wrong but I’m sure it will be to do with the racing -
Oxford V Poole 15/4/26 BSN 1st leg
Gavan replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Scored 6 and 8 there the last 2 years hardly screams track specialist to me -
Oxford V Poole 15/4/26 BSN 1st leg
Gavan replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Well that was unexpected!! Poole fans on here are just hilarious having the actual audacity to have a go at another track when the whole speedway fanbase knows Poole is by some way the worst track in the league Shovlar saying sedgeman is a good replacement for Riss either shows he is thick or simply trolling Let’s be fair if Oxford where at full strength they could have been close to 60 -
Kings Lynn vs Ipswich KOC April 13th 7.30pm
Gavan replied to Aries's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not what I was saying If you are to win matches particularly at home your number 2 needs to get more than 4 and your number 6 needs to beat an opponent Paco is at his level … Rushen could be a superstar and yes he will no doubt beat riders of course he will -

Gavan replied to Aries's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Castagna getting 4 is not enough at home … your number 2 should win heat 8 at home and at least get 3 other 3rd places If you are happy with your number 6 not beating an opposition rider at home then so be it … makes for a long season Rushen is a great young talent but if he is riding at 6 and only scoring 3 and your rising star can’t help bale him out then it will be a very long season -
You need to hope Cooper doesn’t have à lack of confidence from riding for Kings Lynn been absolutely thrown in at the deep end which is so wrong for a young kid

Awful team building by the Stars to throw 2 youngsters in at 6 and 7 potentially zapping their confidence -
Scunthorpe v Poole 10/4/26 KO Cup second leg
Gavan replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Poole should win this as well Rushen will always score well at this level as he is mainly up against NDL riders he was beating last season…. Found it much tougher up against Bangs and Edwards …just hope his confidence isn’t affected riding top flight -
Ipswich vs Kings Lynn Thursday April 9th 7.30pm KOC
Gavan replied to Aries's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Track was awful tonight Our track has never produced great racing but to prepare it the way the did was appalling … we was covered in dust on bend 2 from about heat 3 and couldn’t see some races properly Great to get the win and to see certain riders go well ….imagine the uproar if King only scored 3 yet Scott gets away with it lol Edwards was on fire and just needed to get Tom going …. PHB had bags of potential Fricke is just a class act and Harris provided entertainment but the reserves as talented as they are will struggle against seasoned campaigners The other gripe was the presentation …. Kevin Long was probably the best presenter in the whole league for a long time so whoever replaced him would have huge shoes to fill …. But the guy on the mic was awful …. bland and monotone … generated zero interaction with the fans …no ‘give us a w’…. mispronouncing riders names…. I know we have lost 2 entertaining riders in Doyle and Emil but this guy on the mic seriously needs to be changed -
Ipswich vs Kings Lynn Thursday April 9th 7.30pm KOC

It’s the coldest speedway meeting I’ve ever been too I think lol We are doing ok our riders will always score fine at home and the reserves look strong Kings Lynn have a weak tail at the moment -
Aces vs Lions KO Cup 06/04/26 12 Noon
Gavan replied to IainB's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As an Ipswich fan I think Dickson is the best manager in the league … he isn’t the promoter he doesn’t pick the 1-7 although he has some input ….. he definitely didn’t want Kemp or Joe T -
Aces vs Lions KO Cup 06/04/26 12 Noon
Gavan replied to IainB's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Leicester lost the best rider in the league and Becker and replaced them with Dan T and Morris ….. Joe Thompson simply isn’t good enough at this level -
Obviously Harris is no replacement for Kurtz but Brady only scored 4 and 9 at Sheffield last season and Blodorn 2 and 1 so they aren’t huge losses Aces clearly weak as usual away from home

Belle Vue v Sheffield KOC March 30th 7.30pm
Gavan replied to Aries's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I don’t think anyone is hammering Cairns … over reaction from Belle Vue fans…… I thought Mulford would be a much better better option Belle Vue rely on winning big at home but Sheffield kept it tight with their 3 heat leaders only getting less than 7 each If Sheffield stay fit should be champions in my opinion -
Belle Vue v Sheffield KOC March 30th 7.30pm
Gavan replied to Aries's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Absolute garbage which is unusual for Belle Vue Belle Vue same old story will often win at home but lose away Unsure why they went for cairns while currently Mulford is a better rider -
It is what it is just happy they are coming to the tapes They look a bit like us at Ipswich …. Lidsey isn’t a number one by any stretch of the imagination A team that is solid to a point but lol the weakest but as I say good to see them at the tapes

Belle Vue v Sheffield KOC March 30th 7.30pm
Gavan replied to Aries's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Belle Vue to win the home leg but Sheffield on aggregate as Belle Vue have built a side that the top 2 apart can’t ride away tracks -
We can clearly see the team will be weak but at least we have a team and a club Maybe even Belle Vue will scrape a win at Foxhall this season lol
-
The team was signed ages ago Brennan Nicholls Lawson King Musielek Edwards It’s either Thorsell or Jeppesen at number 6 as there have been issues with Thorsell

2026 Premiership is Go! - At least 5 teams
Gavan replied to RoundTheBoards's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I remember being at the best pairs at Hackney maybe 1986? And Sam Fox was presenting the trophies … little old me was very pleased lol -
Of course you want those 2 back … in the worlds elite and great to watch at the NSS and would have loved Dan at Ipswich … not so much Kurtz
-
Of course I know that but sometimes you can replace a rider with one that might improve to get his average close to what the outgoing rider averaged ….. can’t see that at all with Kildemand And as mentioned a team that struggles away
