  1. You don’t need as much skill to ride Belle Vue than most other tracks …. Fast bikes and balls of steel What’s more skillful ….. Kurtz riding the fence on fast bikes to blast round someone … or Loram … Ward …. Screen using inside and outside to pick riders off at Arena or Eastbourne?? NSS is more spectacular to watch absolutely but the other requires more skill as a rider
  2. I can say that I know of one ex Sheffield rider who is happy not to be there …said the riders don’t offer each other support and it’s the strangest pits and team environment he has ever seen in his career Nothing wrong with Sheffield making signings it’s allowed I just don’t think they are good ones particularly
  3. Hit the nail on the head Belle Vue fans are spoilt by their track they forget that there has never been a track in the uk as good and now feel every speedway meeting should have 20 passes Go watch Emil in heat 10 against Leicester recently …. That’s skill on a bike and not just winding it on
  4. I know there is passing up the inside as well lol….. and I know it’s the best track just sometimes all out fast as you can go can be just as boring as other tracks
  5. You can’t say this to Belle Vue fans they can’t accept it We all know Belle Vue is the best track in the country Many passes at Belle Vue are simply the home riders going out in the dirt and blasting round the outside … yes it’s fast it looks good but it isn’t skillful …..the best races (British final last race) will happen at Belle Vue because the track lends itself to great racing I diner need prefer the technical aspect and seeing top riders ride all the different tracks Watch on you tube Loram v Karlsson brothers at Monmore Green or Eastbourne v Poole in 1999 and tell me they aren’t fantastic races/meetings by world class riders who could ride all sorts of tracks not just ones that need fast bikes As much as I want Kurtz to win the world title I wonder if riders like him or even Zmarzlik would have ever coped with those tracks and not just the rocket ship big tracks abroad today I saw an interview with Todd Wiltshire and he said the most talented riders he had ever seen was Mark Loram Joe Screen and Andrew Silver around Arena Essex… Wiltshire said the skill levels were off the charts I expect Belle Vue to win by 14-16 and I hope there is some good racing …. Though I’m expecting race updates to read about ‘Witches make the start before (insert any Belle Vue rider) goes around them on bends 3-4”….. to me I prefer 2 riders battling and skill required for the overtake But yes the NSS is the best track gives the best racing …. But accept that other tracks do too
  6. Blaming Kerr lol… Lawson 3 points from his first 3 rides cost Poole plus Cairns struggling Well done Redcar with Riss and Mulford replacements only getting 7 between them a great back to the walls performance
  7. If Redcar manage to win this they will have done magnificently To have 2 riders not there whose replacements are much weaker and to be this close is huge Kerr and Starke doing well for Poole …. Lawson should be sacked for this performance
  8. It’s Shovlar…. Spins the same line for how many years now? R/R makes Poole stronger and Voulas for Riss weakens Redcar If Poole win let’s all wait for the prat to say ‘it’s against the odds’
  9. Redcar are more vulnerable tonight without Riss and Mulford …. Vuolas can’t replicate what Riss would score
  10. Comfortable win and Jason Edwards take a bow Hope all ok with Doyle and Dan isn’t fit either
  11. Leicester are the team to beat … comfortably beat Belle Vue over 2 legs and now beat Sheffield over 2 legs
  12. Why on earth did Sheffield not use a Tac sun in heat 10?? Crazy decision by stead can see Sheffield getting heat advantages in heats 12 and 13 then they are weak in heat 14 and won’t be able to use a tag sun so expect to see Flint and Kemp If Sheffield lose will Stead talk about injuries again lol ….. yes they lost Tai which was tough but try losing Doyle and Thompson and King not fit and Jenkins out for the season … they had Picko and Flint out for a bit
  13. Yep I agree they are and they know how to win trophies But if Workington can beat you over two legs other sides will look at that and think they can to…… similar as I said to us at Ipswich being beaten fair and square by Lynn in the cup You didnt lose tonight but confidence is habit that’s nice to be into but a real pain when it goes … i would never have expected the 2 results against Workington and surely all Poole fans would have not seen it coming either
  14. I know the league isn’t won in July As an Ipswich fan we were touted as the best team in the top league but injuries and certain riders off form means we aren’t certain of winning anything as proven by Kings Lynn being the better side over 2 legs in the cup beating us fair and square Most , not all , Poole fans on here are awful losers …. Maybe these 2 matches have given them a reality check that the league isn’t a cakewalk The fact is they have been beaten over 2 legs by Workington … it doesn’t matter when in the season it is April or July they lost … Workington had their two top riders off form and their third heat leader missing Poole are the best side in the league but they can get complacent … no offence to Workington but if they can beat Poole over 2 legs then others certainly can
  15. But he is 100% spot on ….. over 2 legs against Workington Poole would have lost ..
  16. Come on this is Poole … their fans are a different breed of weird on this forum …..beaten over 2 legs by Workington who had their 1 and 5 hardly score and an influential reserve taken out of the meeting shows that Poole are beatable
  17. Poole top of the league …. Just done over by a patched up Workington over 2 legs … if this was a play off Poole would be out ….. so why if Workington make top 4 can’t they win it as they have clearly just been better than Poole over 2 legs????
  18. Of course Belle Vue is the best race track but you can have great races without passing When Belle Vue came to Ipswich recently …Zach Cook and Dan Thompson had a great race throwing the bikes at each other for 4 laps and to me that was just as entertaining as heat 15 when Danny King rode round Kurtz The point I’m making is the NSS van provide certain races that other tracks cant … the final of the British final for one But to just as guys fly round the outside to pass isn’t that interesting at times Nobody is disputing you have the best track and the best racing
  19. God don’t tell the Belle Vue fans that speedway isn’t all about passing lol
  20. I did laugh when 3 riders at the line and Tatum said ‘that’s 75% of the line up’ and Louis said ‘ i see your maths is getting better Kelv’ ….. an awkward silence followed not sure Tatum was that happy with that comment I did notice that Tatum never mentioned what Sheffield needed to get a draw or win when there was a few races left … maybe decided better of it lol
  21. Bad management from Stead …. Jack Holder for Kerr was the obvious choice or worse case Holder for Kerr and Sedgman for Flint
  22. Why would you put Pickering in as a tac sub when you have a GP rider in your team …. Jack Holder would have been favourite to win that …. Bad decision by Stead
  23. Nothing better than seeing a 5-1 over Jack Holder Max Fricke awesome
