People slagging off the signing of Risager are quite clueless really. Yes we all know he is dating Chris Louis daughter but thats the only reason. At home his points will be invaluable. Maybe would struggle as a heat leader but will there be a better second string in the league especially at home where we threw away a lot of points last season. If Kerr struggles to start with then he would go second string so we should be to good at home for a lot of teams.

for once in your life start using your brain pal. true speedway fans dont want to see the sport go to the wall but you are just so thick you cant see any issues, as long as Poole win who cares what happens to the sport hey!! butt out and let the adults have a discussion about what to do with the sport
-
So if Buck is a heat leader and Hans is on the list then surely thats 2 of Pooles 3 heat leader spots? Holder then must be the other you would think. Wonder why he hasnt signed yet?
-
i agree with riders that rode as second strings will have inflated averages so like Summers and Lindgren its obvious. But if someone like Buck who obtained his average as a heat leader comes back and is a second string below a heat leader thats wrong surely? Lets be fair Buck got his average as a heat leader and Andersen rode as a second string some of last season so if Hans is on the list then Buck with a higher average HAS to be a heat leader
-
I havent seen the list at all. What im saying is if he is on the list then its black and white end of discussion
-
makes a farce of the system then doesnt it. how many other riders with higher averages then those on the heat leader list can come in as second strings? makes no sense!
-
Its black and white. If your down as a heat leader for the coming season then your a heat leader. Cant just be altered
-
damn then i guess i shouldnt have commented on the Newcastle, Edinburgh , Belle Vue and Kings Lynn threads today then! give it a rest fool. speedway fans on here can comment where they want. The Poole thread isnt exclusive to Poole fans. apart from the odd statement on Somerset you never comment on any other thread!! Bit strange if you ask me ok so can any club sign 3 heat leaders then go and get someone who hasnt ridden here last year and have them as a second string? Surely if Andersen is on the list and Buck has a higher average then they both are heat leaders?
-
but if you come in to the elite league on a higher average than someone on the list then you automatically become a heat leader. You cant have 3 riders off the list and then go and get Tai Woffinden and say ' he is a second string as he isnt on the list' If Hans Andersen is on the heat lader list he stays on the heat leader list. If Buck average is higher when signed then they both become heat leaders
-
North is classed as a heat leader irrelevent wether people feel he is or not. Rules cant be changed because of peoples opinions.
-
Not a very inspiring line up for the pirates so far. Reserves look strong but the engine room looks weak and assuming Holder is the 3rd heat leader then the next signing needs to be a good one. Holder himself must come with risks attached as well. Hans is on the heat leader list and Buck has a higher average so they both heat leaders
-
Sedgman as a heat leader would be a huge risk. Riding at number 2 much easier hence an inflated average. Yes he got lots of 5-1 in heat 1 but easy at home when your a bit of a gating tart and ahve Cook helping you. At Foxhall 2 good rides when he gated and 2 bad ones when he didnt. On that average he is a risk to any side as a third heat leader especially at a new home venue
-
nice trolling attempt rode at number 5 from july and apart from his injury was flying. wont find it tough at all
-
Absolutly Only Doyle Iversen Holder Zagar and Jonsson can be classed as true number ones in the league and to lose any of those leaves a hole

please tell me what i have made up im waiting for your answer. thank you thank you. ive not blamed poole for crowds dropping off which i think is starmans issue. yes they may have played a part but not the biggest factor by any stretch you mentioned about crowd levels. i explained the reasons why i go infrequently to my club. Granted it has nothing to do with Poole v Coventry but you was the one talking about crowd levels at speedway and i simply responded. dear oh dear. Poole are the most talked about club in the sport. i am a speedway fan so i will comment where i see fit. With all due respect to the supporters of Wolves and Leicester for example, they dont have a huge fanbase on the forum and in a lot of instances most talk in speedway centres around Poole, some for the controversy and some for the fact at the moment they are the best team. Ive commented on Ipswich , Glasgow, Edinburgh , grand prix and horse racing threads in the last few days but hey when have you ever let facts get in the way of having a dig Ive been to Poole many times thnaks. Mainly when Mark Loram was there and ive met Matt Ford and he seems fine to talk to. However he is a ruthless businessman and his interets is with Poole and not the sport. Correct some promoters can learn from him especially with team building and making changes, doesnt mean i like the man Thank You. He just has this weird agenda Thank You RP See what ive highlighted in bold Starman. Thats called discussing and debating. You said i made stuff up. Your own fans tend to disagree with you. And in case you were not sure Skidder this was your post that was discussing about attendences. I replied why i thought attendances were falling and no i didnt just blame Poole. Neither your post or mine had anything to do with Poole v Coventry so why single me out when i responded?

where are Edinburgh going to find someone to replace the scoring power of Cook? where are Edinburgh going to find someone to replace a second string like Sedgeman? season of struggle looks likely
-
Lets look at the team compared to last years. King and Covatti remain Kerr v Tungate - depending on how Lewis has recovered i would say possibly a stronger signing Risager v Manzares - not a lot in it but maybe Morten Sargeant v Heeps - again not a lot in it but James is improving where as Cam maybe going stale. Castagna v Nielsen - plenty of potential with Paco but Stefan still the better rider at the moment Richings v Morris - definatly Ash so in my eyes , on paper , not exactly better than last year but its good to see a refreshed team and riders like Tungate and Heeps moved on. plenty of optimism again and hopefully an improver in Paco. a lot depends on Kerr in my eyes

oh he is lol he accused me of writing a made up post of lies. im simply asking him to point out which part of my post is made up. he is either to thick to understand or realises he has made a fool of himself. he cannot answer me only with low level abuse and makes no attempt to answer my question. i dont think im being unreasonable , if im accused of making stuff up or lying then i want to know why he thinks that. alas i dont think he will ever answer
-
thank you foreverblue for a proper reasoned response and actually debating the point. As i highlighted on another thread Poole have damaged the sport and only the deluded would say they havent. However they are not the sole cause for people not going which seems to be what some are saying. I go to 5 or 6 meetings a season at Ipswich mainly due to work commitments but also the fact a meeting costs me around £50 a time so i have to pick and choose what i think will be a decent meeting. Im sure many more are like that as well.
-
nope not all. i ask you a simple question regarding a post i made. you said i made stuff up in my post. i want you to respond with what i made up. As i say fail to answer me proves you are trolling simple really
-
srtill waiting for you to actually answer a question or debate. Then again you need a brain to do that, and in your words.....sadly i cant find one. any chance you can answer what i have made up please otherwise you are simply a troll. many thanks
-
come on then fool quote me where im making stuff up. 1. I cherry pick the meetings i watch 2. Most elite league teams biggest attendance is against Poole 3. Poole are currently the biggest draw in the elite league for visiting fans. 4. Pooles biggest home crowds are against their nearest challengers (this season Coventry and Swindon) 5. Pooles lowest crowds are against poor teams (this season Lakeside and Wolves) 6. When Poole struggled in 2009 their crowds fell. 7. Poole are SOME of the reasons not ALL of the reason why people stop going. So could you highlight which of the 7 above statements are incorrect and made up please. Or will you simply not answer the question YET AGAIN!!! My guess is as a blue tint blinkered fool you will if any only pick out point 7. My guess is you will call me sad, deluded or a clown but hey ho I thought the same Skidder (although not liking me) is usually fine with his posts as normally is Red Panda. Either the village idiot (starman in case anyone was wondering) has hacked them or they have been brainwashed by him
-
Living in your dream world there im afraid. I go to Ipswich 4 or 5 times a season and i absolutly cherry pick the teams i go to watch , usually Edinburgh, Glasgow, for example. Im not wasting my money to see my team thrash a poor Rye House for example. Other elite leagues teams attendances are falling and its a result of a few factors and yes fans are lost to the sport because of some of the things Poole have done. To say otherwise is totally deluded and blinkered. And yes when Poole visit they are usually a big draw because they are the team to beat, so of course Lakesides biggest crowd will be against Poole rather than Wolves. I would reckon Pooles biggest crowds are against Coventry and Swindon and less against Lakeside and Wolves. It stands to reason so i have no idea what point you are trying to make re crowds. Pooles attendances dont fall because they are winning its quite black and white. 2009 when Poole were struggling the crowds dropped off markedly. I agree other promotions dont help themselves but as i say the way Poole speedway have conducted themselves has an impact on the number of fans that go to speedway. They are by no means the sole cause but they are a factor
-
Spot on. The past is irrelevent to them and the damage they have caused the sport. But hey ho they have won 3 on the trot and in the words of their main fool 'its only winning that counts'
-
I have no issue with Risager coming back to us as long as its in the right position. Third heat leader..........no thanks Second string ................yes please. Our home form ultimatly let us down last season. With Risager as a second string we could/should be unbeatable at home.
