  1. Lets look at the top premier league riders today and the top national league boys in the late 80;s early 90's then shall we. Cook, Stead, King, Kennett, Masters are probably the best riders in the league. Back in the late 80's riders of their calibre would have struggled to make the British Final. You had Galvin, Loram , Louis, Schofield, Boyce, Adams, Wiltshire, Crump, Butler, Thorp. All these riders bar Galvin and Schoey made the World Final. Im puzzled how anyone in their right mind thinks the premier league is stronger now. my team are in it and yes the racing is good but its not a great standard. Take the league from 1981 and its stronger than now. Take the league from 1989 its still stronger.
  2. I started watching National league in the 1980's at Rye House and the national league back in the 80's through to the 90' was far far tougher than the premier league now. Garrard, Cox, Silver, Woods, Kennett, Dugard, Hunter, J Owen, T Owen, L.Collins, Wyer, Crabtree, Monaghan, Jackson, Finch, Lawson, Mckinna, Yeates, Wigg, Butler, Thorp, Galvin, Loram, Schofield, Wiltshire, Ferriera, Luckhurst, R Morton I could list loads of riders in that 10 year period who would quite simply top the premier league averages today but yet would struggle in the British League if you think the premier now is stronger than the old national league then you are in cloud cuckoo land
  3. you cant say that mate, there are some very precious Darcy fans on here who believe he is the greatest rider around. Darcy Ward is a sublime talent but at the moment he is not in Emils league
  4. have seen him live but whats the difference between being at the track or on the tv? Ward is sublime talent but I would place Mark above him for now. its called an opinion and im discussing it with sommelier who is an adult and can debate instead of you trolling. now go to bed dear oh dear go away
  5. live as in at the track about 4. on tv probably about another 40 plus times. im slightly biased my family used to sponser a young Mark from the age of 14 so travelled all over the place watching him. Used to overtake for fun at all levels and only once did I see him get it wrong when he knocked Rickardsson off in a gp once. For sheer talent I would have Mark above Darcy but I would possibly have Lee above them both. just did so keep quiet im talking to adults
  6. we all know Emil is better than Ward. Shame the 2 of them aren't in the gp's one for political reasons and one because he isn't a professional
  7. im deluded lol. You don't think Mark was the best at overtaking riders then? Nobody better at making long straights and getting wheels in line. Darcy is talented and natural but he isn't yet as good as Mark as coming from the back.
  8. really? Go buy the DVDs mate Loramski was the most natural there has ever been nobody could overtake as often and cleanly as he could.
  9. why do you continually start threads and comment on threads slagging off antyhing British, first Tai now Rosco. Do yourself a favour and stop trolling
  10. spot on. wish people would stop banging on about his form. A few years back he won in Cardiif and i believe was world number 6. That was his pinnicle. He is now no better than say 14th in the gp but is ahead of riders he shouldnt be
  11. Think the main issue is that Rosco has moaned before about British riders being dropped so it does smack of hypocrisy. However Rosco is Swindon manager so he has a duty to do the best thing for Swindon speedway, irrelevent of the nationality of the rider replaced.
  12. i havent said its a problam but why do you think or expect him to do any better?
  13. Because that is his level! He isnt likely to make many top 8's he isnt good enough. He should get 6 or 7 most gp's. He may get 9 in one of them and 4 in another. Why is there no thread saying how poor was Kasprzak, Janowski , Jonsson and Batchelor at Cardiff? They are all (in my opinion) better riders at Harris yet they scored less than he did!! Why is there always a thread were people end up having a dig at Harris, and no im not a Coventry fan either
  14. Why do people continually feel the need to have a pop at Chris Harris? The guy is a 100% trier but because he isnt as good as Tai people lay into him. He has deserved his place in the gp he is nevr going to be top 6, unlikely to be top 8 but thats the level he is now. He is 6 points off the top 8. He is just behind the new golden boy Janowski He is ahead of the current world number 2 He is ahead of Batchelor who scored double what Harris did last year. He is at his level and that is in the worlds top 15 or so Gods sake give the guy a break!
  15. Im a bit confused how people compare the Kildemand falls going down to easy , and Nicki and NKI? Kildemand was clipped both times and there was contact. When going round the corner , if the wheel is touched, it knocks the wheel out of line thus making it much harder to stay on. NKI and Nicki clashed elbows and the bike of Iversen hit the side of Nickis bike not the wheel therefore good old fashioned elbows. No rider in the world would have gone down in the NKI and Nicki incident Every single one of them would have gone down like Kildemand did
  16. Lambert left a gap!! Mate im an Ipswich fan, Kings Lynn are out bitter rivals, but that was just reckless. He rode into the side of him there was no gap at all, just desperation not to come last from Garrity! If riders left 'that sort of gap' and riders did what Garrity did there would be about 10 falls a meeting!
  17. we get your point you don't like Tai stop banging on and on about it your making yourself like a tad foolish. He did 2 laps thanking the crowd for their support. The top 3 were just riding up to the podium and Iversen was still at the pit gate being congratulated when Tai stopped. As Ronan Keating once said you say it best when you say nothing at all
  18. holder blew the final by riding to tight. If he had of let the bike drift he would have blocked the outside runs but he was to concerned blocking Tai. Tai made the right choice cutting back as he had done in an earlier heat because he expected Holder to ride the race. As it happens Holder rode a strange line and Tai's race was over
  19. yes they were nice and strong when Nicki dived under Kildemand and knocked him off then blamed the other rider again. The mans a fool at times
  20. thats called foresight. Gate 2 was the correct pick as he could have got over Holder from there but didn't make it so got caught out.
  21. called an Iversen charge! He tends to start slowly and get better as the night goes on
  22. the last 4 or 5 hears have been much better but the first 13 or so heats were boring and you seem to be the only one who doesn't see it. But I guess your never wrong. Best Cardiff track? Not for me. Smoothest track no ruts absolutly but it isn't the best gp from cardiff
  23. I can't see what you are watching. Its not a good gp but we aren't allowed to say it because it's cardiff. Joe Screen has called it a trappers paradise and that the tractors are hoovering the track! But then what would he know!
  24. What a prat Nicki is! Knocks into everyone knocks them off and is never at fault. Let's hope he runs a last in his last one
