Poole V Coventry Es First Leg 16/03/16
Gavan replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
totally agree about Newman to good to be a number 7 in the elite but only just about a heat leader in the premier. Some Poole fans think he is the second coming and is the future of Team GB. Can't see how in anyway Newman can ever make a squad -

Kyle Newman man of the match bit of a joke really. He beat the other reserves on his home track and he is a better rider than both in either league. Oh he also beat Garrity who technically is the same level as Newman so how can he be man of the match didn't beat anyone of any note that he wasn't expected to. Easy for Poole in what is a boring looking league -
Funnily enough it wasn't Hans it was Kurtz and Ellis
-
I see at least 2 of the Poole boys not impressed with the track. What has happened to that once good track Poole had? Nice attitude belittling other clubs like you do. So arrogant. Hans Andersen will ride for whoever gives him the best deal hence he moves clubs an awful lot. He isn't Poole through and through like Holder(who even though a Poole man said he WOULD ride elsewhere if not wanted) and he hasn't anywhere stated he just wants to be part of a winning team. You just speak crap

why you having a pop at someone??? You didn't put it on another thread unless I've missed something. Phil the Ace mentions it and then you comment so quite clearly you didn't know until you were told either! So your a liar as well -

you are such an idiot. Read the posts. Lisa said a few may stay away and the very next post you say that they should all stay away so technically you are asking for something different to Lisa so hence nobody has picked her up on what she said. Lisa is a true fan where as you dont give two hoots about the sport as long as poole win. I love the fact that your own fans call you a village idiot!! -
Scunthorpe Scorpions 2016?
Gavan replied to Paul Johnson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Great race track at scunny should be a cracking meeting only drawback is its to far away for me as an away track to visit. Stop upsetting those Monarchs fans. U know they spit there dummy's if they don't get there own way. Trying to cover up the fact there team looks awful this year.....and incomplete -

as I say should be comfortable for Poole only the Poole fans who think we are all stupid by saying it will be close. And God yes let's hope Belle Vue can win the league. Still to me the elite league looks dull compared to the premier this year -

I see Poole fans put up a small 8-10 point win when quite clearly they should win this by nearer 20. That way they can say there amazed by their team when they win by more than the 8 they predicted. Poole to win by 15 in the 2 team boring elite league -
As sad as Darcys injuries are and its a tragedy why is the title of the thread about Darcy? Surely this should be aimed at all riders not just 1. Joe Owen, Per Jonsson, Krysztof Cegielski, Kim Jansson, Lawrence Hare, Garry Stead, Leigh Adams, all this riders have suffered devastating injuries but it seems we only keep reflecting on one. Is this cause it was most recent? Don't know
-
I'm confused as to why people say 'use the youngsters'. Who are these 'youngsters'?. Surely people don't want to see a team of Garrity Newman Howarth? We would be a laughing stock! Pick your strongest 4 it's that simple
-
The squad really isn't even open to any debate and the future looks bleak. The 4 riders will be Tai, Harris, Nicholls and Cook. I agree that Lambert should he progress is next in line. After that what do we have? The next best 3 are all premier league number ones who have been used before but fall short i.e Stead, King and Kennett. After that you also have the like of Barker and Bridger, both not good enough. I keep reading bout the youngsters well who are they? Garrity is a better option than Barker or Bridger but he isn't better than the other 3 I mentioned, and whoever thinks an elite league reserve and a below 7 average in the premier league like Kyle Newman should be anywhere near the squad needs their head testing. Our top 4/5 could hold its own but coming through there is nothing

where am I wrong? Ipswich are a well run club, nothing we did that season crippled us. I hated the idea of dropping down but am used to it and I have to admit it is an exciting league. Poole and Belle Vue look ahead of the others by some way. If you think that the Elite league looks good then quite clearly you are not a speedway fan. You want success and are not worried the effect it has on the sport. In the premier league this season there is 6 or 7 teams that could win it. Give me that rather than what the elite looks like serving up. And that season when we walked the league with Rickardsson Gollob Louis and Nicholls was rather boring. Nice to win a trophy but the racing wasnt good as we thrashed teams which isn't good for the sport.
-
not sure how you mean still paying for it but then again nothing you write makes sense. We are a well run club good crowds good racing. You just keep deluding yourself how wonderful your side is when quite clearly it's the weakest Elite league ever
-
going to have a bet on Belle Vue myself. Poole are no odds on shots as to me the 3 heat leaders of Belle Vue will outscore the heat leaders of Poole. Second string wise Brady could just try that little to hard and Fricke is more experienced. Hans should go well and Poole are stronger in reserve. However the season looks a 2 horse race and a boring elite league. Always preferred the top division but glad my team are in the premier so should see good racing

Starman with another classic. I'm with you Lisa, I'm not sure one person could be that thick so I put it down to trolling
-
Not making a meal of it but 99% of fans are saying Monday for a race night for a reason, 99% of fans know that sky run elite league meetings on a Monday as the top boys will be there as Sweden and Poland don't race on Mondays. Can't get my head around why you wouldn't know that

and the award for daft post of the year goes to????????
-
Kings Lynns team does look weak i grant you but i cant agree about Coventrys team. Poole, Belle Vue and Swindon look the top 3 teams but i will place Coventrys as 4th compared to the others. Thet have the 4th best heat leader trio. A solid second string in Garrity (ok the pole is unknown) and a good reserve duo. I would put Coventry ahead of Leicester, Wolves , Lakeside and Kings Lynn

The rule is simple British number 7. So Edinburgh think its ok to try to manipulate the system and bring in a non brit because he might just might better than a British lad. Nothing to do with whats in the best interests its to do with whats in the rules so why should Edinburgh try and change things? Oh its because they have failed to sign a decent enough one already and have missed the boat. Its wrong that they should try and sign Davey and none of your spin on the situation changes that.
