I think he will get a years ban which is what he deserves really. I think it will be back dated to August which means he doesnt really miss much racing out of those 12 months. If he lines up at the tapes in March for any side it will not serve any purpose. Then again when he was tested the wind was blowing in the wrong direction, it was a Sunday, and he is a very talented rider. All those things should mean he should really get off without punishment

The best World Champion i have seenin my lifetime would be a draw between Tony and Hans, both won the one off and both won gp series. In terms of bias my uncle used to sponsor a 15 year old Mark Loram and we knew the family very well and Mark even made the effort to come to my auntys funeral in Feb 2000. Such a shame she never saw her 'Marky Boy' lift the crown So in that respect to follow a young man from mascot to World Champion is quite special

well im going by the poole fans on this forum and the vast majority don't want Ward and would rather have magic. I guess the poll that was taken was either voted for by teenage girls or those who feel he is just to talented not to be in the side, irrelevant of the fact he keeps letting everybody down

Bout time the Poole promotion made the right decision and leave Ward out of there immediate plans for 2015 and try to get Janowski back asap. Lets be fair thats also what the majority of Poole fans want to see

I think you will find he has and quite rightly as well. I served a ban for calling someone a numpty so the abuse he was dishing out was deserving of a long ban

i have. how constructive do you want me to be? My 9 year old daughter could have wrote it better. highlighted a couple of things. Darcy Ward hasnt worked hard at all. He has a sublime natural talent on a bike he finds it easy. People like Tai and Nicki have worked hard to add to their talent and if Ward had an ounce of their commitment he could be world champion. As for a massive loss not really. Sure he is good to watch but the gp's without him last season were perfectly good so if he wasnt there it wouldnt stop me watching them. At the end of the day we all want to see Ward back on the track but it needs to be a different Ward , one who wont mess up again, and im afraid the people who crawl to him and call themselves fans by setting up a petition arent really doing him any favours

your point being what? I would hazard a guess the majority are fans of the English, Swedish, Polish clubs he rides for and probably lots of teenage girls as well. Add in a few people who think its fine to have a couple of beers before getting on a bike and that would probably come close to the number you quote. If people want to support him in the hope he gets lucky and gets away with it so be it. The majority of people know Darcy was over the limit that day. Some feel thats ok if there is a technacality

Its blatantly obvious that Darcy clearly has the wrong people around him Middlo is the obvious one. Consistently backs Ward whatever he does and calls him a silly boy. Get a grip! Matt Ford says Poole won the title because of Ward!! LOL While he has people around him that let him do what he wants the sad thing is he may never learn and feel he is untouchable I remember when Ward was interviewed a couple of years back about Tai's regime and dedication , he simply shrugged and laughed it of saying it wasnt for him. Well guess what Tai has been world champ, went close last year and is a favourite this season. Ward cannot be world champion possibly in the next 2 years because of his own stupidity. He needs a Leigh Adams or Jason Crump to get hold of him and give an example of how to be a professional rather than just throw it all away. As long as the support pages are along the lines of giving Darcy support to get his career back on track and do what he does best then thats fine. If they are supporting him to get off on a technacality then that is wrong

Still cant get my head round the reasoning of some people. FACT - Darcy Ward was over the limit to ride a speedway bike. That is the black and white of it all. Trying to find of some legal loophole or technacaility to get out of it will not teach Ward a lesson at all. So what if it was an off-duty Policeman? You telling me he wandered in to the pits and randomly tested people? Of course not he was supposed to be there. The talk of banning him for 2 or 3 years is to harsh. I said 8 months would suffice. However i cant get my head round people looking for any little flaw in the proceedure to get Darcy off. If you were true Darcy/speedway/Poole fans you should want the right thing for the sport and for Ward and that would be to ban him for failing a breath test

I for one want to see Darcy back as a reformed person. However it may do him good to get away from the comfort zone he is in at Poole where quite clearly the management there do not help him in anyway. Middlo consistently comes out with ridiculous statements that just bigger belief sometimes. Matt Ford for some absurd reason dedicated the title to Ward last season when he was the person that could have ruined the title for them. Sadly while the Poole management drool over him and let him do what he likes and see no wrong, you have to wonder if he will ever learn what us right and wrong. I've just read over the quotes again from Middlo and they just smack if a complete buffoon The one about his mechanics is the funniest! Take a breath Middlo and ask why his mechanics are sitting around! Also the fact that being over the limit is not performance enhancing so its not a problem lol. well the person who set up the thread, customhouseregular, talks in his opening post of likes and dislikes of the play offs starman also comments on the play offs and so do others. yet when I comment on them and in fact show no sign of anything anti poole in my post you choose to mention my comment and nobody elses. correct the league play offs are not in the world cup but the thread starter includes them so for once concentrate on topic instead of trying to throw another anti poole cheap shot hoping for others to join in, when quite clearly you are wrong

Cant stand the play offs personally. I know why they are in place and they need to stay to help the sport survive but it becomes an absolute farce to me. Last season Poole or Kings Lynn were worthy champions and it panned out that way. The year Coventry won it from coming from the bottom to the play offs and beating Poole who were superior all season was a joke. Same as 2 years ago when Poole came 4th but because they could make changes were far and away the best team come play off time and robbed the deserved winners in Birmingham. Lets face it that season even Peterborough stormed into 5th and if they had pipped Poole to 4th would also have won the play offs. I dont like the fact the play off winners can just be the form team at the time , or one without injuries. If you finish top you are champions simple. Poole (when Coventry beat them) and Birmingham (when Poole beat them) were denied the league because they built the best team at the start, thus couldnt change it
