im not saying he isn't happy riding where he is riding I'm not saying that it isn't good for Edinburgh but if you want to reach the top then you need to push yourself. If he has dreams of riding gp then he needs to get himself abroad. What is he going to learn from another season at Edinburgh? To best the riders he already has beaten over the last 2 seasons. If anything his form went backwards last year and I believe Cook is not going to get any better. He doesn't have age on his side so he needs to try and grasp his career while he can

good luck having an opinion against starman mate lol he cant see another view and cant debate. For what its worth they tried to get Brady Kurtz for a 3 last year to be told its 5 This season they try and get Holder for a 5 when he is a 7 Same club. Either they dont read the rules or they are trying to pull a fast one.
-
Another strong looking team though not as good as last year should still see you make the play offs. Dont blame you for wanting Cook back but cant believe he hasnt made the step up full time and tried to get contracts elsewhere abroad. Lack of ambition clearly evident. Last season Cook didnt progess and i think he has reached his level. You would expect him to easily hold down a heat leader berth in the elite but he is a second string. He will always be a top premier rider, an avaerage elite rider, and will never make the gp's in a million years

Have i just read Steve Worrall for Team gb? Do we want to try and win things or do well? Tai, Bomber, Cook, Stead, King, Barker, all miles ahead of Worrall Im in the opinion of picking the best team available, and riders like Birks, Worrall, Newman are not good enough to ride for team gb now or in the future. The only rider who could breakthrough is Lambert
-
really? In 30 years of watching speedway I never knew if you finished over the limit you had to lose riders. I just don't think we are that strong that's all. Teams like Edinburgh , Somerset , Workington for example finish over the limit every year yet still in some cases come back stronger the next year. Teams like Rye House and Glasgow come under the limit yet seem to always struggle so I don't go along with the theory that you are weaker because you have to change riders. It's how you build your team. I hope we can be challenging and I see us as top 6 but not enough to make the extra step. You need to win away from home in this league and I can't see it happening a lot. Just my opinion and I hope I'm wrong
-
The more i look at our team the more worried i am. Out have gone Worrall, Risager and Ellis In are King, Covatti and Nielsen. Personally that makes us look weaker in my eyes. we have lost 2 heat leaders and a reserve we have got 1 heat leader and 2 reserves massive pressure on Gino and Cam
-
I will happily take it on unless anyone has an issue
-
i dont know, which is why in my quote i called it an OPINION. Mine is Hansen will do well to maintain his average and will struggle on seeing some away tracks for the first time. Bach has reached his level as far as i can see. If you dont have an out and out number 1 banging in big scores i think you will struggle. I have nothing against Workington ( well apart from the jenga troll!) and love them coming to Foxhall great set of fans. If you read the Ipswich thread i said we will fall short and might make top 6. In my opinion Somerset, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Sheffield, Peterborough and yes possibly Ipswich look stronger than Workington.

Rightly or wrongly i do worry about our side a bit. Trying to compare it to 2014 side: 2014: Worrall , Tungate , Risager as heat leaders. 2015: King , Tungate, Manzares. - think we look weaker there lot of pressure on Gino as Number 3 heat leader to step up. 2014: Manzares , Hawkins 2015: Heeps, Hawkins - is Cam going to be able to produce the scores Gino did last season? 2014: Heeps , Ellis 2015 Covatti, Nielsen - Can Covatto match Cam or Richies perfromances? Can Stefan match Ellis? I really dont believe we are stronger than last season to be honest. Last year we fell just short and i can see a same scenario Hope im proved wrong
-
i think you are living in cloud cuckoo land to think he could average somewhere up near Stead and Cook at this level. he isnt a great gater and you dont earn points in the premier league coming from the back. will do well to maintain his average in my opinion. Bach will be solid enough Howarths heart is in the elite league Wells is average. This is a team that might be ok at home but Hansen going to away tracks for the first time will be a massive issue and this team looks nowhere near good enough for the top 6

i get what people are saying but if Darcy Ward lines up at the tapes in March for the start of the Elite League, Polish Leafue, Swedish league, then i feel he has got off quite lightly
-
i agree that his previous incidents should not be taken into account. what i disagree with is that it should include the winter months. Darcys main income is from racing in the european leagues , uk, poland and sweden. So that is where he should be banned from competing, not a couple of small eetings in oz , when they basically are over there for a jolly up. I am not one of these people who think he should have a year or 2 year ban i think 6 months is fine. But lets make the 6 months a proper 6 months not back date it to when there was no racing
-
Absolutly totally irrelevent. He should be banned for whatever the outcome is for failing a breath test its that simple. I personally feel 6 month ban is fine. However no point in that ban being backdated as in effect he missed 2 months of the season. I believe he should be banned for the first 4 months of this season and see him back in July. He basically needs to miss racing otherwise he ban is worthless
-
your knowledge is quite poor really. Covatti isn't a world beater but can do a good job. Ellis didn't kick on that much last season and if you knew anything you would realise that Ellis missed to many meetings. Even if Covatti only adds a point there was no guarantee Ellis could add more.
-
pleased with that. could have been much worse! Covatti will smash that average. Don't care who you are, any rider 1 ride away from the gp must do ok at premier league reserve position. If he does than Cam, Richie or even Gino my drop down so will always be strong. Still feel for Adam though. And I cant quite get how Sheffield look immense! For me Somerset, and Glasgow look better. Must be bit worrying for Monarchs fans no Cook or Masters signed yet lol

If the best means winning titles then yes Poole are the best. If sometimes they are underhand does that still make them the best. And Poole are not the biggest club in British Speedway, that honour is still in my eyes Belle Vue. Its like saying Manchester City are the biggest club in England because they have won recent trophys. They are not as big as Manchester United or Liverpool and Poole although dominating in the noughties will never be as big a club as Belle Vue

Hard work trying to decipher one of jenga's posts the English is appalling then again it's pretty obvious he isn't always in charge of the family brain cell
-
absolutly now I hope Starman has got his answers that the rest of the speedway world already knew lol
-
As much as I admire the guy for his career I do hope Lanhsm is not one of the last 2 names. We need to find that someone who has the potential to increase his average by 2 points
-
no your not! Get a grip if yourself you prat. The whole bloody forum knows why Holder may be a 7. You are either thick or a troll who wants attention
-
ha ha just when I think you can't make yourself look any more stupid you come out with this pearler. I have to say for comedy value you are great. I'm guessing the answer has been discussed over about the last 10 or so pages and may have something to do with Australia not being in the EU. But then again I tend to read the rules or at least previous pages before I post so as not to become as daft as you have just become, brilliant!
-
jenga is a well known troll who is unable to string a sentence together and never has anything of any note to say. Shame that he lets down the decent name of the true Workington fans who are a cracking bunch
-
you need help buddy. Your like the kid in the playground with his fingers in his ears. Clown
-
i don't mate. I know you Somerset crowd are great people when you come to Foxhall just feel sorry Starman has attached himself to your club read the above it quite clearly answers your question now do is a favour and have a sleep. Just for the record wether anyone agrees with my answer is irrelevant but I'm sure sensible people can actually see I've answered you
-
what are you prattling on about! Your question was 1 word. Meaning? And in my above post I explained what I meant. What is wrong with you that you can't read!
