  1. But its ok for a team manager to accept his rider getting in a fight on a night out and then the same rider being under drugs or alcohol and driving an uninsured and unregistered vehicle and being banned from driving................its what kids do. Watch the Belle Vue footage again, Simon Lambert is the issue here going up to Etheridge, which led to the mechanic getting involved so Allitt took him away up to the fence. Allitt isnt blameless but he was a manager protecting his riders , they all do it and Middlo is as bad if not worse in his backing of Darcy
  2. You do have to laugh but its the same person trolling over and over. Poole hot favourites at the start of the season. Had the best 1-7 assembled and boy did the Poole mafia let everybody know. The fact remains that Poole were awful this season and by hook or by crook and elements of luck they have almost made the final. The 1-7 Poole had should have walked the league and the fact they have changed 13 riders means it would look pretty poor if they didnt make the final. Even if Poole make the final and lose to a team that were expected to finish bottom then Poole have had a poor season, i also dont think Poole would have been where they are if they didnt benefit from Rye House closing and they have been very lucky as well with no injuries. And there is no way Poole will get the peoples vote lol. Kings Lynn have been the underdogs all season so a victory in the final will be against the odds
  3. Correct they are pretty much guaranteed to be in the final hence the short odds. Irrelevant of who their opponents are those odds will drift as soon as both teams are known. Bookmakers work to a percentage overound so at the moment 3 teams (barring an amazing Belle Vue comeback) can win the league. One is those is in the final pretty much so they are always going to be much shorter than the other 2. Its basic odds compiling. If Poole would have won by 8.....and Belle Vue v Lynn was closer say a 6 point Belle Vue win , then Poole would be long odds on favourites. If it’s Kings Lynn v Poole final then it will be Kings Lynn as slight favourites but only just
  4. They are huge favourites because of he fact they are pretty much in the final but then again I wouldn’t expect you to know how odds work. Lets say in a two legged football match semi final that match one between Chelsea v Liverpool ends 0-3 to Liverpool (similar to Lynn at Belle Vue) and the other match between Man Utd at home to Man City ends 1-1 ( similar to Somerset v Poole) Quite clearly Liverpool would be hot favourites to win the final (like Lynn) as they are pretty much there where as Man City still have a bit of work to do (like Poole) Thats how odds are worked out. Trust me if it’s Lynn v Poole they will be similar in odds for the final it’s just at the moment one team is a near certainty to be in the final the other is likely to but not certain Or do you think it will be 8/15 and 9/4 in the final lol
  5. Loram v Louis British Final run off 1997. After following Mark and sponsoring him since the age of 15 to see him lift his first British crown was great and the race was hard but fair. Wasnt there but go on you tube and watch Mark v the Gollobs in 2001. They try to team ride and twice Tomasz almost fences Mark only for him to get them both. Not often Mark showed emotion on track but he did crossing the line in that one!
  6. Spot on we will never know until the night but i cant see how Somerset are weaker, its just the usual line.................if an opposing team misses a rider they are automatically stronger....if Poole miss a rider they are weaker
  7. Same old rubbish from the same old people Thank god for normal Poole fans like rayc who rather than troll realise the truth. This season Summers has scored 2 both times Jake Allen scored 2 Both Lawson and Covatti have failed to win a race at Poole in 13 races between them BWD been there once this season and scored 5 including a fall but beat Woryna twice and won a heat. Poole can only beat what’s in front of them but the luck is going there way and unfortunate for Somerset to be weakened
  8. I don’t agree I think that pretty much all of the field with the possible exception of Pawlicki and Cook can all win a Gp on a given night. Go back a to the beginning of the decade and I would say it was only 6 or 7 that could be classed as a likely winner such really was the dominance of Rickardsso Crump
  9. Far from it mate we used to follow Mark Loram so spent many a Saturday night at Lynn and would love them to win the league. Always remember Marks first meeting at home v Reading. He either scored 17 out of 18 or 20 out of 21 from number 7 and the only person to beat him was Readings reserve.....Todd Wiltshire!
  10. Ok we can forget those meetings then When Poole went to Lynn and lost by 2 PalmToft got 5 Worrall top scored last time for Poole at Lynn as a heat leader..... he is now at reserve. Poole fans on here going overboard a bit I think. Over the 2 meetings I would expect the Poole reserves to hugely outscore King’s Lynns. Lambert has had 10 rides at Poole and scored 1 point! Poole and Lynn have been built differently, Poole rely on a big hitting reserve and 5 riders if similar average , while Lynn have the strong top 5. If Pooles top two keep Lambert and NKI scores down then Poole will win
  11. But if Poole get there PalmToft got 4 at Poole , while Poole reserves racked up 18 and were only beaten by Lambert and Iversen once. Pooles reserves are stronger than Kings Lynns whichever way you look at it
  12. Great great rider that PC was you can’t say he was better than Tai because he won pairs and world team cups. Its irrelevant as Tai has had nobody at his level to compete with him like PC did. Maybe now with Lambert Tai will get other team golds
  13. Sorry but i could never warm to Havvy but no getting away from his achievements and as i said in 1992 in my opinion only Per Jonsson was in similar form. Thats the only thing i dont get about some people..............we can all dislike certain riders thats normal...............but to say they havent achieved anyhting because of that is a tad absurd to me. Couple of people on here dont like Tai, Pedersen or Hancock but nobody can take away what they have done in the sport. Always reminds me of a friend of mine a Spurs fan.........................Sheringham was god when he was at Spurs.......moved to Man Utd and he hated him...........back to Spurs and a god again lol
  14. Im Marks biggest fan (uncle used to sponsor him as a 15-18 year old) but i dont think he would ever have won a one off final. The vast majority were won with 14 points or more and yes the last two were both with 12 but that included Ermolenko winning his first four races before just rolling at the back in the last one not needing any points, and then Rickardsson in 1994 due to the unbeaten Nielsen being excluded (rightly) in his 4th ride or he may well have won with 14 minimum. I couldnt see Mark around 2000 stringing 5 decent rides together Im certainly no fan of Havvy but in 1992 he was certainly the most dominant rider of that year. He won the British Final Lost out in a 3 man run off for the Commenwealth Final Won the Overseas 2nd in a run off in the World Semi final 3rd in the BLRC The only rider that season who could match Havvy was Per Jonsson, so in 1992 Havvy could have won a gp series i believe. But i agree with you that neither Havvy or Loram are as good as Tai , even though i preferred the excitement that Loram provided
  15. Ah now we have an opinion , taken your time to understand what one of those is, hence im sure you cant be an adult Ok just for you because its clear you dont have the intellect: My OPINION is that Tai has been the best British rider. As i said you can disagree with that , you can possibly make a case for 2 or 3 other riders to be declared better ( not that that will be easy) It is not even up for debate that there have been 12 better..........the fact you say there has been is trolling simple as that. You have been asked to name them, something that you have failed to do because quite simply you have tried to troll and been caught out and now cant backtrack. If you had said maybe Craven or Collins or even Lee at his peak were better than Tai then we could be having a sensible debate. I gave my list of my top ten....in my OPINION So lets hear yours
  16. But its not about personal opinion surely? The UK has had recent world champions in Lee, Havvy and Loram who have all won one each so there can be an opinion on who was the best out of those. In a GP series i would be surprised if Havvy or Lee could have won a world title and similarly i dont think Loram would have ever won one in a one off final. Tai has won 2 world crowns and is on the verge of a third. To say he isnt in the best 12 english riders ever is just a farcical statement If you had of said i think 2 or 3 might be better then thats something for a debate. You said 12 and that is purely blinded by your dislike of Tai. Might be best if you leave the forum for adults to have a discussion
  17. Nothing to do with being in love with Woffinden, are you like 12 or something. He quite clearly is the best or almost the best rider the UK has ever produced you have to be a tad on the slow side not to recognise that. Not a fan of Nicki Pedersen but you cannot disagree about his ability and success I guess there are just some strange individuals like yourself , who use their dislike of a rider, to somehow over shadow how good that rider actually was. Im also sure a lot of people disliked Carter but what a talent
  18. You seem a very strange individual i must say. So please enlighten us as to what riders who are British are better than Tai? Not a hard question really
  19. Nothing against whatever is happening in Holders personal life , he just simply isn’t right for Poole anymore ..... time for Poole to look forward not back
  20. absolutely It would need Zmarzlik to be getting 18 or 19 points, which he has managed twice and for Tai to get less than 10 which has happened once. It should be all Tai's but an injury early on like Cook or Vaculik last night and then its open. Cant believe someone said he doesnt care. He must be confident but he needs to have his mind right so his way is to seem that what will be will be......of course he cares
  21. Is he the most exciting? Probably not, that would be Loram or PC or Morton or Lee Is the most naturally gifted rider? Again probably not Does he work hard, train hard, mentally prepare himself the right way? 100% Does he give 100% dedication to being the best he can be? Absolutely And yes of course we can in some way use world titles as a yardstick be foolish not to. I cant stand Havvy never have done but those who say he was lucky must realise that in 1992 he was the most dominating rider of the year.......do i think he is as good as say Lee, Collins, or Loram, all one time winners then no i dont. Would the achivements of Havvy rank above Carter and Morton and Jessup then in my opinion yes they would. Who was better to watch and had more ability, Jimmy White or Steve Davis? Jimmy White did..........but Steve Davis won far more My list of the top ten english riders ive seen ride would be as follows: 1. WOFFINDEN 2. PETER COLLINS 3. MICHAEL LEE 4. MARK LORAM 5. GARY HAVELOCK 6.KENNY CARTER 7. DAVE JESSUP 8. SIMON WIGG 9. KELVIN TATUM 10. CHRIS MORTON, JOE SCREEN & SCOTT NICHOLLS (all purely on being talented motorcyclists and in Nicholls case 7 times British Champ)
  22. Do you know the definition at all? It means someone who posts messages to provoke and inflame. I may get argumentative with certain people but that isn’t trolling. The only people who have issues with me are 3 or 4 Poole fans and one other. A much bigger number have issues with Shovlar. That’s because he trolls , puts differing opinions to most to deliberately stoke the fire. If your unsure what a troll is then look at Shovlars comments on the Belle Vue / Mark Riss debate. Even his own Poole fans don’t like what he does. Im argumentative for sure but that’s not trolling Despite all I’ve said I still don’t believe he should have been banned
  23. Never had an issue with Poole riders ( well except dirty Dennis) or the vast majority of their fans , but there are 1 or 2 strange ones that’s for sure.
