Poole v Wolves. Prem B. 5/9/18
Gavan replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Surely the first 2 names on the team sheet will be Harris and Klindt and if Kurtz can be say a third heat leader he will do ok. Poole need a big hitting number one but they are thin on the ground. Woryna will have an average of a second string and has yet to prove he can step up to that. -

That’s the point though..... last night up against Morris and Ayres isn’t going to be the same as up against Allen and Summers. The reserves will be closer meaning riders like Kurtz and Woryna need to come to the party Last time against a weakened Somerset Pooles reserves were paid for 26 yet you only won by 6. -

Well your weaker at reserve now for sure. Bur basically it’s no good having a reserve get 12 if your number one keeps getting 5 or 6 they cancel each other out -

Pooles reserves all season have won them meetings as they regularly have smashed the opposing teams bottom 2...... apart from the meetings against Somerset Richie Worrall should easily be capable of double figures against a side , like Wolves , who have poor reserves. Woryna at reserve was cleaning up. The switch between those 2 positions have weakened Poole. Reserves can win meetings but so it can big hitters and Poole don’t have one. Harris will be Harris 9-12 a meeting. Josh was excellent tonight but could easily get 5 next meeting I was wrong about Klindt he has done really well since signing Woryna only got 5 tonight and if he does that against Somerset and Worrall can’t beat Allen and Summers then Poole lose simple as that -

Kurtz has been poor all season apart from 1 or 2 meetings Richie Worrall rider of the night lol. Signed to replace a heat leader and now at reserve. Gets beat by a national league rider in heat 2, passes a hardly bothered Morris a couple of times and he is lauded. 8 from reserve against poor reserves.....won’t be as easy against Allen and Summers. Rider of the night clearly Josh G doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work that out. Worrall and Woryna scores 13 between them tonight With Woryna at reserve at home they have scored 18,14,17 and 22 against good opposition. They rode against poor reserves and weak second strings tonight and still couldn’t match what they have been. Worrall only getting 8 from reserve he will need to step up when Somerset come to town. Nice to see a match report ..... oh Poole won -

Poole again win a meeting where their reserves hugely outscore the opposing reserves , unfortunately Somerset have decent reserves so will be tricky. Kurtz will ultimately cost Poole any chance of the league and Woryna unable to buy a win when he moves up. Josh showing a bit of form but can’t see Somerset overly worried heats 13 and 15 could be 10-2 in both matches! -

Gavan replied to racers and royals's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Is there any depth to the level that shovlar trolls? totally clueless Klindt getting Iversens average lol. Love seeing everyone telling him how daft he is looking yet again. Somerset will pick Poole , why would they pick Belle Vue who recently won there? Somerset clearly have Pooles measure be mad not to pick them. keep trolling shovlar dear boy not long until Rome -
The loss of Barker for this one could be costly, cant see r/r covering him all that well. We need to obviously keep Cook and Harris quiet. I think Riss tends to go well there but ive no idea about Cam as he didnt appear to ride there last year (unless he guested for someone) and only got 3 the year before and Nico only got 6 there in 2016 as well. Nicholls did well for Peterborough and hopefully our reserves can outscore Glasgows though there seems to be a lot of expectation on Drew after his Scunny performance. I think ultimately we will lose but only just

i can see those wheels backtracking so fast. I can see anyone else laughing in your delusional little world you live in Having a debate with foreverblue and skidder........now run along you must have a flight to Rome to book How are the magnificent 7 ,9 11 sorry 13 riders doing? -
I said Kings Lynn would be bottom but its just fun to read from him of all people. It was more the fact that i got accused of anti Poole stuff saying they would make changes and the original 1-7 looked risky.........and i predicted Poole to finish 3rd! Nice to prove a point to the Poole (insert word of choice)

Bet i do what lol, i ended our marriage thanks but i guess you know me better its quite comical to be honest

Lets look at what could have happened then. Doyle rides they get a 5-1 and 1 point becomes 3 put them on 45 points after 22 matches. Somerset beat Kings Lynn by more than 7 tonight (possible) leaves Somerset on 48 and Lynn on 47 after 22 matches each. Somerset then get a big away win at Belle Vue and move on to 52 after all matches completed. Lynn then win only one of the double headers against Leicester and Somerset are top. All of that could happen but unlikely. Would Somerset have anything to gain from coming top? No not this season. They wouldnt choose Belle Vue who won their recently and although no Bewley he only got 6 that night and r/r could cover that, they would choose Poole. Somerset by coming second will still be left with Poole as there is no way Kings Lynn will choose Poole. Kings Lynn have won twice away at Belle Vue when Bewley got scores of 11+2 and 9 +2, and beaten them twice at home (Lambert only getting 7) when Bewley also scored 12 and 8. The loss of Bewley makes Belle Vue even more inviting for Kings Lynn. So to sum up..................no matter who tops the table the semi finals will be the same. Why risk your irreplaceable number one getting a worse injury for the important play offs? -

The word is flawed.............lol I ask you again......if Woryna aggravated an injury, would you prefer him to keep riding, do more damage, miss the play offs, or rest for the play offs?? Simple question that for some reason you cant answer. I use Woryna as he is possibly the only Poole rider they would struggle to replace 24 hours for an aggravated back injury he can have plenty of treatment. Not one Somerset fan is annoyed he didnt ride but i guess they see they bigger picture -

Harris is what you get and in my view along with Woryna has been the reasons why Poole are where they are and why they could on their day sneak the league. There is no doubt Brady has been very poor and is lucky to still have a job. He could come good in the play offs but he also has that tendency to not handle pressure. There has been lots of talk over who is better Brady or Morris but both riders have gone backwards this season. Both a long way behind Fricke now and seeing riders like Jack Holder go past them. Will either kick on? Morris i feel is at his level , Brady could but he needs to move forward next season. Maybe both have suffered with being out and out number ones and the pressure that has brought. -

Are you Starman in disguise telling people to go back to their own threads lol You would rather have your top rider race in heat 15 with an injury just to win a match that will ultimately prove irrelevant, and then have him missing for the all important paly offs? Very strange way to look at it. Thank You Jason Doyle we nicked that win against the leagues bottom club as you put yourself through the pain barrier, doesnt matter that we have lost you for the play offs as that win helped us to come second in the league. Im sure Somerset fans would prefer that lol Doyle and Lambert are probably the 2 riders in the league that couldnt be replaced (unless with each other). If the match meant anything then maybe he would have done it. Fcat is it didnt and he didnt need to. Very strange way of thinking -

Pooles team has been built with strong reserves and the top 5 chipping in about 7 each. That will win most meetings but if the reserves have an off night then Poole are clearly vulnerable to a team that has proper heat leaders. Technically Poole have 7 riders who are all second strings -

Probably not........but irrelevant , Somerset safe in the play offs, know they will face Poole wether they top the table or not, no point over doing things -

He didnt pull out of any programmed rides he decided it best not to ride in heat 15. I would imagine with a days rest and treatment he will have a go tonight but if he jars it he may well pull out again and take the rest. Somerset v Kings Lynn thread taken over by Poole fans getting their knickers in a twist. Doesnt matter what happens Poole will be 3rd and then face Somerset.
