Team needs a shake up in the winter. Are Riss and Mason that suited to riding for us? To me only Drew and Coty should be back next season with maybe Rory and Nico. A big hitter at 1 is needed. Don’t know who but maybe Lawson will come. Should leave us enough to play with but don’t know who I would want

100% agree Nobody can argue against Pooles success in recent times

You must realise that speedway didn’t exist before Poole started winning You also must realise that Manchester City, Chelsea and Leicester are bigger clubs than Man Utd as they haven’t won the league for a while. Lets say this year Somerset win it and then do so for the next 2 years. Does that make them bigger than Poole?? No it doesn’t It’s just the same load of tripe from the same posters

Man City or Man Utd Huddersfield or Leeds Bournemouth or Aston Villa You think the man on the street would say Poole if asked to name a speedway team lol. Well apparently it only the last 10 years or so that makes a club a big club. Belle Vue the biggest and best known speedway club in the uk.

So are Man City bigger than Man United? How far back do you go? Poole haven’t won the league for 3 years now if they don’t win this year.......so by your line of reasoning Poole are not the biggest club. You can’t just say it’s about winning such a blinkered view....but expected. I guess speedway history only started in 2003 lol

To me the biggest club is the one that has the history and prestige not about who has won the most in the last 10 years lol Ask non speedway fans to name a speedway club and they would say Belle Vue maybe Cradley or Coventry. He has this very strange agenda against Belle Vue. Belle Vue is and always has been the biggest club in the UK and now it has the best track as well. There has to be some jealousy involved

Can’t get my head around people not wanting a British world champion. Saying hopefully Zmarzlik can catch him is just a bit strange as can’t see how anyone can support a Pole over a Brit! Was never a fan of Havvy but wanted him to win in 1992. As an Ipswich fan I would never have cheered the likes of Sigalos and Cook over Carter in a test match

It’s only Poole fans and maybe one or two others that think he has helped British Speedway. The constant rule bending and the desire to win at all costs is finally coming to an end and the fact that he can’t just sign whoever he wants anymore means he wants out. No good being the best team in a 2 team league Made sure Poole was profitable but to say Matt Ford has been good for the sport is very wrong

Doesn’t bother me wether we are the best or not The sport as a whole is what matters not just one club. Ive always said Matt Ford has been good for Poole as a business but he certainly isn’t good for the sport as a whole and it has to be said that some of Pooles title wins have had controversy about them. So no I would rather have my club run the way it is right now and keep the sport running

Why? Surely Garry May will realise the Poole riders think that the inside line will be the place, thus then changing the track to make the outside more favourable?

There is no devils advocate to play! The facts are these: Tai Woffinden wasnt ready to race Magic Janowski wasnt ready to race Bartosz Zmarzlik wasnt ready to race Greg Hancock.............was pretty much ready. Its irrelevant wether Tai was up at tapes......5 metres back.......10 metres back..............in the pits! 3 riders should have been excluded (minimum) If you want to play devils advocate then the fact is Tai was probably the most ready to race of all of them, he had done his 'gardening and pulled back a bit to let Janowski do his and cool his clutch. What you are saying is that if Tai was at the tapes clutch cooling that would be ok? The fact is everyone can see why Tai was excluded...................the issue is he wasnt the only one ..................and i wish people would stop using the phrase 'riders were at the tapes'...............100% irrelevent

The problem that Poole have is that their top 5 at Somerset in both matches have been poor. Somersets top have outscored Pooles top 5 by 15 and 13 points at home, meaning if Pooles reserves have a poor night then it could be a 20 point reverse. At Wimborne Road last time against a weakened Somerset Pooles 1-5 were outscored by 8 points including only 4 for r/r for Lawson. Its pretty obvious that 2 or 3 of Pooles top 5 need to up there game to keep it close at Somerset Also Freddie only got 3 their last time and Worrall 2 , if they dont improve on that then Poole may well find they have a rather large deficit to make up

Poole and the words proper race track to not go together! Leicester is an appalling track i agree , but isnt having speedway better than having no speedway? I agree that shape and size is important but whats more important is that Swindon has speedway. Or maybe we could just have one league of decent race tracks and shut the others down. Belle Vue, Kings Lynn, Somerset, Wolves , Peterborough , Scunthorpe and Workington just in one league. Its not the racetrack and the racing that stops people going its more about the success of the team. If Leicester were top of the league more fans would go and would endure the poor quality. At Ipswich the crowds were down in the last few year of the elite league as the team was appalling. Since dropping down the crowds have flocked back but the racing has been no better. When we thrashed everyone in 1998 the racing was largely boring we were hammering most teams yet we had big crowds...the reason......we were winning every week You must realise this as Poole fans only turn up when the team does well.

In my mind Milik should have no chance at all of getting a wild card, his form this season hasnt been good enough and he is not as good as any of the riders he will be replacing

Lol hilarious On aggregate at Kings Lynn beating by 28 On aggregate at Belle Vue beaten by 10.....................yes quite clearly you go better at Lynn You spout rubbish daily and you dont even know about your own team lol

Greatest races are subjective in the excitement they provide. No doubt in my mind that heat 13 was the best race ive witnessed but it wasnt the most exciting as i have no affinity to any of the riders. Most of the races that i found the most thrilling will almost always involve Mark Loram as we knew and watched him from an early 14 year old. British Final run off 1997 Swedish Grand Prix 1999 final Polish meeting 2001 v the Gollob brothers (its on you tube) These will always be the races when i watch them now that make the hairs stand up on the back of my neck Other races that ive seen that i like watching again is Joe Screen , also in Poland, splitting the team riding of Hamill and Swist (i think) and also the Goldbarre in Vojens in 1990 where Jan O Pedersen starts on the back row of 8 riders and misses the start so badly he is stone last then proceeds to overtake everyone..........not just journeyman riders, but Nielsen, Nilsen, Correy, Jonsson, Karger, Cross and Jorgensen...........watch it on you tube if you have never seen it

Hugely under rated rider who i think many mock due to his gp record, but he qualified on merit every year. 5th and 7th in two world finals 3x British Champion in a row against such takent as Havvy, Dugard, Screen , Loram , Louis, Tatum, Doncaster was no mean feat. Cant see how Jack Smith will even come close to a career like that but wish him well

So it appears we now cant see a great race unless a Poole rider is involved lol

I wouldnt say Holder was back on it, just had his bikes set up from the gate and was able to slot into scoring positions. Did well when Lindgren was hard on him but was the only rider pretty much to be overtaken when Tai passed him. A good meeting for him yes , but the track was a gaters paradise hence the riders scores were pretty much bunched together. No surprise to me that the top scorers in the qualifiers had either gates 1 or 3 twice. Doyle to be fair was lucky to end up on 13 as he benefitted from both Janowski and Cook breaking down. Hancock would have been top scorer on 12 which shows that riders were all beating each other depending where they started from.

Never said Tai was ready to race The fact is the other 3 werent either they were still all gardening, (possible exception of Hancock). Janowski was kicking and digging away and Tai was sat bike on one side cooling his clutch watching him.

I dont believe Robert is better that Vaculik but Holder yes 100% Holder has been off the pace all season and was lucky this year to get a wildcard so i dont believe he should get another one. Vaculik has won a gp so yes there is an arguement there i guess. Otherwise there will be a very good case that those 9-12 will be the 4 wild cards. they could easily go Laguta/Emil , Zagar, Pedersen , Holder/Vaculik. For me the big question is quality not just bringing in new faces hey have to be as good as if not better. I get fed up with those knocking Hancock. Yes he is a gating tart and not my favourite rider but he produced a masterclass of race riding to keep Zmarzlik behind him. Would it be boring to have 4 same riders back? Maybe but give me Laguta , Emil or Zagar or Pedersen over a Milik anyday
