Belle Vue v Somerset PL 5th September, 2018
Gavan replied to Aces51's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Its only one or two fans of Poole that let their club down I found it farcical that we saw an amazing heat 13 at Belle Vue then we had Shovlar try an prove the Poole track has good racing by putting a video up from god knows how many years ago!! The man is just laughable. I then commented that yes the Havvy, Rempala race was good but that heat 13 was better and it had all 4 riders in the action rather than just the 2. I also commented that the best race i had seen with 2 riders passing and repassing was Loram v Louis in 1997 British Final....................only to be told that i was anti Poole..............must remember to not have an opinion lol -
To be honest its the same Poole fan everytime, so if you say anything thats not of his opinion you become anti - poole very strange. But yes i got told i know nothing as i said the Poole team was built with a risk and would finish 3rd.............hmmm think i was spot on. (though admittedly i had Belle Vue top and Leicester 2nd lol) Now he is happy they are in the play offs and anything else is a bonus.............no Poole have had a shocking season and if reaching the play offs is seen as successful this season then thats just a joke
-
Let’s be fair the Ipswich thread has normal people discussing speedway..... that’s no fun when you can see what the clampetts from Dorset put on here....... no club has so many strange and wonderful posters as Poole lets be honest most neutrals love seeing the next weird post from the usual 4 or 5. I do feel sorry for forever blue and rayc and skidder, Poole Keith and a few more as my god you have Gater or MattFordfan or MrX or Trumpy which are just the weirdest people on the whole forum let alone just Poole....... then you add in the Shovlar trolling backed up by a couple of cronies and the Poole thread is just comedy gold. I mean come on Shovlar even said Belle Vue don’t miss Bewley lol
-
Nope been an awful season , had Covatti injured and then Hume and then King and then Schlein yet we still only just outside the play offs so one of those seasons wrecked by injury. But then again although most Ipswich fans thought we would do well we never boasted or belittled any other team. I do like the way you put ‘not’ at the end of your post sounding like a 90’s teenager very mature lol. Maybe Ipswich built their team wrong we will never know........ but Poole most certainly did yet still you fail to acknowledge that. Poole going out in the semi finals is failure .....Ipswich not making the play offs is failure.... not hard is it
-
Hate lol The problem is Poole has its fair share of strange fans who either troll or are to blinkered to see anything different. I had loads of stuff at the start of the season because i said Pooles 1-7 looked risky..........Shovlar and 1 or 2 of his little buddies told me i was anti Poole and talking rubbish. Well i was 100% spot on so i love seeing this amazing side have to use half the riders in the elite league to only just make the play offs. Lets hope we get a Somerset v whoever final
-
Sorry but before a wheel was turned we had to endure page after page of Shovlar and one or two others banging on and on about how good the Poole 1-7 was. Hot favourites and have messed it up big time. We heard how amazing Poole were to beat Somerset recently and we were even told Somerset were stronger with 3 riders missing lol, also you have said on another thread that Belle Vue are covering Bewley!!! Your comments and constant trolling have been picked upon by many many posters on many threads its quite boring now
-
The pressure is on Poole ....built a superstar team we was all told and were the hottest favourites for years. Poor management maybe but Poole have used 13 riders to scrape into the play offs. Going out at the semi finals will be seen as a massive failure and surely the time has come for Middlo to step aside..............easy to manage a side with superstars but clearly lacking when he doesnt have those superstar riders, maybe a problem with motivation
-
Are you for real? Bewley has missed home meetings v Wolves and Somerset R/R v Wolves got 1 point............Bewley got 8+2 earlier in the season R/R v Somerset got 8 points.....Bewley got 14+2 earlier in the season They face Kings Lynn in the semis Home v Kings Lynn , Bewley has scored 8 and 12 Away at Kings Lynn , Bewley has scored 11+2 and 9 + 2 At home Bewley averages 9.24 the second best in the team Even by your standards of trolling to say Belle Vue are covering Bewley is quite simply miles from the truth

Belle Vue v Somerset PL 5th September, 2018
Gavan replied to Aces51's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
So Somerset doctored their track to give them advantage and Poole fans moan....seriously lol. Lets hope that the Poole boys set their bikes up for a tight inside line and Somerset dont doctor it. Pooles track is the worst of the 4 teams left in for track prep and some fans have the audacity to complain about other teams. -

Why is it having a dig? The heat 13 at Belle Vue was better than both races by quite a way as all 4 riders covered by a blanket and a guy from last to first in half a lap. The Poole race of Havvy and Rempala was also very good but only involved 2 riders so in my view wasnt as good as the other night I then remarked that the best 2 riders passing race was Loram v Louis. Wasnt having a dig just my opinion......why are people so touchy -

Good to watch back when Poole was a decent track but 2 riders passing was nowhere near as good as heat 13 typical shovlar response and also not as good as the Loram v Louis run off for the British Final in 1997 -
So Somerset doctored the track to make one inside line Now Poole fans think they will do it again lol. Let’s hope the Poole management and riders are not thick enough to believe that. If they do the Poole boys will all be set up for the inside to work and Somerset will have altered it completely and how daft would Poole look
-
Poole have massively under achieved this season Red hot favourites before a wheel was turned and the usual Poole suspects telling us all that the other teams may as well not turn up. 13 riders used and still can’t get the right line up to trouble the top teams As the league has been watered down and seen Poole not able to splash the cash and make everyone assets that the Pirates have struggled. Middlo now is getting found out as a manager now he hasn’t got the likes of Holder (at his prime) Ward and Janowski riding for the club and he and Ford having to put make shift sides out and it’s just not working out. Think my mum could have led Poole to the titles with those riders! Maybe one day Poole could get Rosco or now even Garry May , managers who can win titles with far less resources and have better tactical acumen. Anyway I would expect Somerset to take care of Poole over 2 legs and then this would have to go down as one of the most disappointing seasons in Pooles history. With Matt Ford wanting out now that he can’t buy the league surely it’s time Middlo did an Arsene Wenger and leave gracefully
-
Lol seriously. Poole fans say they didn’t try at Lynn but that’s ok then lol. Covatti has been poor everywhere of late including for Ipswich and in the riders championship so even if he is at reserve then he still needs to find some form.
-
Said this already Covatti has beaten Jakobsen and Worrall at Poole in every race and also beaten Kurtz twice. Could easily be a bit so secret weapon at Poole in the second leg good astute thinking from May who might soon be mentioned in the same breath as Adams and Rosco as the best managers the league has seen

Poole v Wolves. Prem B. 5/9/18
Gavan replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Josh G the one that all Poole fans wanted gone all season. He isn’t getting any better is a bit of a journeyman but good for 5 or 6 points a meeting Why would any Poole fan want Chris Holder back? Isn’t good enough and causes problems much better options available. Jack Holder more than happy at Somerset.....Poole fans need to forget the Holders. Poole will end up this season with a team of seven riders all averaging between 6 and 7. A minimum of 2 of those need to go and that o would imagine will be Worrall and Josh. They need a big hitting number one and have Harris and Kurtz as back up. Klindt and Woryna or one of as a second string and Freddie as the main reserve. Get rid of Worrall and Josh get a better number one and a reserve to go with Freddie -

Gavan replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Surely the first 2 names on the team sheet will be Harris and Klindt and if Kurtz can be say a third heat leader he will do ok. Poole need a big hitting number one but they are thin on the ground. Woryna will have an average of a second string and has yet to prove he can step up to that. -

That’s the point though..... last night up against Morris and Ayres isn’t going to be the same as up against Allen and Summers. The reserves will be closer meaning riders like Kurtz and Woryna need to come to the party Last time against a weakened Somerset Pooles reserves were paid for 26 yet you only won by 6. -

Well your weaker at reserve now for sure. Bur basically it’s no good having a reserve get 12 if your number one keeps getting 5 or 6 they cancel each other out -

Gavan replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Pooles reserves all season have won them meetings as they regularly have smashed the opposing teams bottom 2...... apart from the meetings against Somerset Richie Worrall should easily be capable of double figures against a side , like Wolves , who have poor reserves. Woryna at reserve was cleaning up. The switch between those 2 positions have weakened Poole. Reserves can win meetings but so it can big hitters and Poole don’t have one. Harris will be Harris 9-12 a meeting. Josh was excellent tonight but could easily get 5 next meeting I was wrong about Klindt he has done really well since signing Woryna only got 5 tonight and if he does that against Somerset and Worrall can’t beat Allen and Summers then Poole lose simple as that -

Gavan replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Kurtz has been poor all season apart from 1 or 2 meetings Richie Worrall rider of the night lol. Signed to replace a heat leader and now at reserve. Gets beat by a national league rider in heat 2, passes a hardly bothered Morris a couple of times and he is lauded. 8 from reserve against poor reserves.....won’t be as easy against Allen and Summers. Rider of the night clearly Josh G doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work that out. Worrall and Woryna scores 13 between them tonight With Woryna at reserve at home they have scored 18,14,17 and 22 against good opposition. They rode against poor reserves and weak second strings tonight and still couldn’t match what they have been. Worrall only getting 8 from reserve he will need to step up when Somerset come to town. Nice to see a match report ..... oh Poole won -

Poole again win a meeting where their reserves hugely outscore the opposing reserves , unfortunately Somerset have decent reserves so will be tricky. Kurtz will ultimately cost Poole any chance of the league and Woryna unable to buy a win when he moves up. Josh showing a bit of form but can’t see Somerset overly worried heats 13 and 15 could be 10-2 in both matches!
