God some people whinge A new country, venue yet people are complaining. What about the aussies who come over to europe every year to follow the series as believe it or not there are quite a few And the potential for an aussie to lift a world title in front of their home fans? Melbournes a terrific city, the ethiad is an incredible venue. I think its a very positive decision and no not just because its in australia. How many people who have slated this decision actually attend the final gp of the series when its held in EU anyway??? Stop whining and appreciate the fact bsi are trying something new. Melbournes an unbelievable city - best i have been to. The ethiad is an incredible stadium there - have done scaffolding work outside there and got the chance to see inside. Wow Will be in sydney by xmas for six months then back to melbourne for september 2015 so will definately be attending this. Superb news

Wouldnt bother with bach has definately found his level now, hasnt been the same since his leg injury. Infact i remember him being pretty poor that season even before his crash? Good third heatleader but way too inconsistent to be a number one

Fair comment just think Ward at sixteen was an all round better rider and an accomplished number one. Dont think lambert would be at this stage. Best debutant in the PL must surely be nicki pedersen tho, averaging 10+ in a very strong league. But thats going off topic a bit

Havent seen lambert race live but comparing him to Ward at 16 is pathetic Ward topped the pl aves and actually got better when he moved up from reserve. In his first el season he was averagin about seven. In a stronger league Ward a far bigger talent sadly seems to go off the rails alot.

Favorite Newport riders from the years i attended (1999-2011) Wato Henriksson Ben howe Gjedde Frank smart Emil lindqvist N k iversen Visitors id always look forward to seeing: Stonehewer Michael coles in his prime Paul pickering Danny bird Frede schott Peter I Karlsson Topinka Zagar Harris Not a great list but those are the standouts for me. Gjedde pure class for the wasps never have i seen a more dominant rider don the number one jacket for newport and that includes wato in 1999. Gjedde was absolutely quality to watch

Havent paid that much attention to speedway for a year or so now since being in Australia but have looked at scores now and again and to see wolbert averaging 5 after signing as a number one is a joke Clearly pissing round with his average ready for a return to edinburgh he should of been slung out months ago

Never forget his time at Newport when he was signed as a second string yet done the buisness with phil morris in heat 15 to get us out of trouble think it was the year we had rajkowski. Good luck chris

Even think the side newport finished 2011 with (gjedde doyle lanham aspegren mellgren kurtz and jones) was better.

Lanhams knocking on now, sad to see him struggling as he was brilliant for newport. His three seasons with us he was one of the most exciting Wasps , certainly wasnt the gating tart he was made out to be made a few passes most meetings inside and out, his races with joe screen were superb. Was a class performer in the pl days for arena too, was one of the best riders in the league when i first started attending. Very sad to see him scoring 1's and 2's.
