Great to see a class number one in Robins colours again. Ward looked very quick and as in control as I have ever seen him at Blunsdon. The good thing is, there are at least another five matches to watch him in action around the Abbey. Maybe Rosco can tempt Darcy to lead the Robins next season with a new stadium and a new era. Good to see him driving down his average for next season though

Leicester V Swindon 11/7/15

Riders can still be impressive even despite their score. For example on Friday night at Somerset, Morten Risager only scored 3 points but was in the mix in almost every race, at times coming from the back but over cooking it slightly, then fighting back again to challenge later in the race. Similarly, Ollie Greenwood scored only 2 points, but one of them was achieved by keeping the experienced Sam Simota behind him for all four laps. It may be that impressive is the wrong adjective, possibly combative, but either way, entertainment is provided! -

Good to see last year's Swindon fan is still up on the statistics of our riders. -

And You are right, Nick Morris tried his absolute hardest in every race. Very brave and committed rider. -

Plymouth played their part in another excellent meeting at the OTA. Good atmosphere and a decent size crowd. Fortunately the grey skies circling overhead stayed away. For the Devils, Newman, Todd Kurtz and to a lesser extent Ryan Fisher were good value. The Rebels missed Charles Wright (bruising to wrist) from his crash at Redcar. Josh regained the speed which has deserted him of late, Starke was superb entertainment with his never say die attitude and Leigh Lanham scrapped for every point. Nick Morris as expected proved an inspired guest for Brady. Rode well with Lanham on a couple of occasions. His night came to a abrupt end after a horrifying looking crash with Fisher. Both riders giving their all in heat 13, crossed the finishing line almost locked together and then tangled spectacularly. Both machines hurtled into the fence collecting Morris who went backwards into the air fence. Both riders eventually walked back to the pits, but The young Aussie was taken to Hospital with a cut arm and possible concussion. His crash helmet taking a severe battering. Rebels look good for the return at the St Boniface. Lee Trigger being bitterly disappointed with his reserves and Simota in particular. -

Fancy you not turning up at the OTA again Jenga. Too much for you seeing the home of the table topping Rebels?

Agreed Reliant. Winners make changes no matter the situation. Furthermore, financially Ward will have them queuing at the turnstiles. The car park Mafia will be back in their element!!

Is this this year's speedway track telephone directory Nick?

Leicester V Swindon Mon 29th June Sky Match

I am a little nervous at Batchelor being number one..... Memories of him starting the season at number one for the Robins a few years back. We seemed to concede a 1~5 in almost every heat one, even at Blunsdon! Then thank goodness Hans took over and did the business. -
You speak to the majority of riders and they talk about 'sharpness' and 'track time'. The Rebels have a pretty quiet period at the moment so I would imagine his guest appearance are looked upon as being positive, as well as practice at the respective tracks he visits!

By all accounts Leicester is a bit of a gaters track so AM and Zengi will probably go well there. Nick certainly likes the track going on previous visits. Going to be a tight one to predict and likely to be only a few points in at the end. Either way, Robins to grab a point. -
Come on cliffeboy, 'left us up sh£t creek' ...... hardly.... There are plenty more fish in the sea with a 3.00 average!!

No doubt Kurtz will be a GP rider Sid. Reckon Morris will also make it to the top also. -
Nevertheless a decent signing with plenty of promise. Onwards and upwards!

He used to have the same opinion of Foxhall. I heard him complaining to Leigh Adams once about the Ippo track. He actually rode brilliantly eventually on that evening. He does seem to have downers on certain tracks though. -

Hansen made one start and looked extremely quick. However that was his sole input for the night. Desperately disappointing performance from an experienced rider. Howarth was good value and mixed it with the Rebels, Wells also battled well. Williamson made three very decent gates and Wethers was worth more than he ended up with. The Rebels look unstoppable at the OTA at the moment. It will take a titanic effort from an away side to take any points off of them. A new number 7 to be announced later next week following the release of Benji Compton which may strengthen the Rebels even more, who knows!
