The stadium is part of Foxhall Heath, which is owned by a group of people. Spedeworth have been the leaseholders of the stadium since it was car racing only, and Louis rents it off them for speedway.

The key element of all this is that in many cases there's nothing to buy. What price would you put on, for example, Ipswich?

You said: "We'll never know but had the rider not fallen the referee may have continued the heat. " Therefore it sounds as if the Ref stopped it because the rider fell ... which means the Ref doesn't have any discretion, and should exclude whoever is deemed at fault. -

That makes no sense. Either it was stopped for an unsatisfactory start, or it wasn't. -

A clock is not the issue whether anyone is capable of installing it and/or operating it. The clock is only for show. If the team and riders can't work it out, it's entirely their fault - no change to how it's ever been. -

If, and only if, it was deemed an unsatisfactory start. If someone falls, there is no such thing as referee's discretion. 011.1.11 Primary Cause of Stoppage The only person with the power to stop a heat is the Referee. When a heat is stopped, the Referee shall disqualify the rider, who in their opinion is the primary cause of the stoppage. -

Survival of The Premiership?
Roger Jacobs replied to Najjer's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Whoever did the business case for upgrading Hackney got it completely wrong. Waterden Road was originally part of a thriving East End, but was gradually surrounded by industry, and the remaining local population changed in just a few years from traditional working class greyhound and speedway loving cockneys to new generations and descendants of West Indians, Asians, etc. -

2000 spectators at £22 is highly optimistic. Even if they reached 2000, some would be season ticket holders, and others won’t be paying £22, e.g. concessions, and children (charged at different rates or free). It’s all in a parlous state - hence Sheffield putting riders through unnecessary heats of potentially dangerous muddy riding so they could get to Heat 10 and keep all the gate receipts.

Whichever way they line-up, Heats 2, 8, 12 & 14 are vital - while the heats with the King/Rew pair are very important. King really needs to defeat all of the Wolves - sadly the Wolves top 5 are all capable of defeating King. Rew will have to fend for himself, because King never looks around. On the flip side, I reckon Riss will be excited, because he knows that Sayfutdinov and he will be able to work together on track. -

How did they manage to ride 3 heats in poor conditions to get as far as Heat 10, and then decide it couldn't go on ... that's almost as suspicious as Bates Leicester getting a vital win at Bates Sheffield last week. -

3.61 of that difference is Pedersen's average minus the arbitrarily assessed 5.00 given to Tarasenko. -

It’s quite the conundrum. Plymouth say they need an increase of 35% in paying customers. Turns out, they need “only” 110-20 more, because the average attendance is 350!

It’s the happy clapper “any speedway is better than no speedway” who will be clapping and saying that when their track disappears, and they wonder why …

That’s not the point. The point is that the SCB and BSPA/L continue to be disingenuous, and clearly don’t care. Anyone would think it was Sunak in charge - or perhaps he’s been inspired by the BSPA/L operating model?!
