Why do you assume that you're the only one with experience in the industry and that anyone else with an opinion is a 'loudmouth speedway fan making cheap shots'? It reflects far more on you than anyone else!!
-
So why is Matt Ford suggesting costs in CL are approx 25% less than PL? I know he's had loads of chats with Len in recent months, so who knows?
-
Oh dear!!!!
-
Why would a wily old campaigner like Len Silver who has had considerable experience in recent years at CL/NL level suddenly decide to go Premiership, with the various restrictions he has with the stadium usage?

Get it right if you are gonna continue having a go. Poole lost 2 big long term sponsors in the lead up to 2019 as well as the end of the 2-year 2017/18 main sponsorship and then was seriously let down by the new main team sponsor mid-season. No club could easily withstand those losses to their budget of many many thousands of £££s!! Along with a reduction in attendances due in part to the change in race night as well as the increased number of TV meetings - and also at a time when MF is in the process of uprooting to a new business in France - why wouldn't he do the best for the club to continue racing under the stewardship (co-promotion) of his son and another - hardly wanting to get shot of it is he - unless a decent offer comes along which is the same for most clubs at any time? (If Ipswich were so secure with a great main sponsor then why did Louis need and accept financial help from Buster before the 2019 season? - Yes I know the 'full takeover contract' was never signed apparently!!) Poole have never paid over-the-top money but what they have done is always guarantee that riders get paid correctly and on time - something which attracts many riders who have been let down by other clubs both here and abroad!! By all means carry on having a go at Poole - we all get it - just get your facts right before repeating the same old same old!

not to say more than a cursory glance at his bank balance!!!!!

Thats all we could fit on the trophy shelves this year! -
So have Lynn and Ippo reported huge (or any) increases in attendance for any normal league meetings then? Just asking....
-
£1 more than most Championship clubs!!!! Surprising to see so many Poole-haters so concerned about Poole's future?!
-
No idea. Just factual. Doesn't bother me what day they ride. I gets me season pass whatever out of my pension, which guarantees my grandstand seat and will continue to do so. If every club could fix every reason why fans stop going then speedway might be saved. Undoubtedly there can be different reasons for different clubs.

Difficult to be 'out and about' as you put it when he doesn't live in the UK any more. Problems of sponsorship were not the only issue - it was also a 20% drop in attendances (40-50% for TV meetings) due to the enforced change of race night. The current list of club sponsors are all on board with the proposed changes and I expect further companies to join once the new co-promoters finally know what can be offered.

£5k to be paid by Buster?? -
Laughing? No, but smiling definitely yes as Rosco and Doyley as well as CFS are mates of mine!!

How could it not have been mentioned before when it has been the subject of much discussion amongst Poole's fans and sponsors for days if not weeks? It was timed to be announced after the final had taken place to co-incide with a BSPA meeting. As I said its not Poole's fault that the Final was delayed!
-
If they had delayed the official announcement, it would have 'leaked out' from somewhere within the BSPA in any case. Far better to get ahead of it than have to respond to someone else leaking it - standard PR really! Didn't hear Nigel and Kelvin make any mention of it last night - although I did miss several heats after falling asleep!! Our local Echo even carried a report on the Ipswich/Swindon first leg. Just a shame that next season the Premiership Shield will have to be a slightly convaluted match up involving Swindon and.............??!!
-
Hardly Poole's fault that the final was delayed?! The announcement was timed to be just prior to a pre-AGM meeting!! And what 'attention' do you believe Poole received over and above the final? and from where?
-
I can't - he's not in UK but you'll clearly provide the spit and I'll do the polish.
-
Well stop posting misleading posts on threads that have nothing to do with the subject then! Its quite simple really.
-
Poole 'trying to stay relevant' on a Poole 2020 thread? Whatever next? Poole - like most clubs - set a budget for the coming season based upon projected income and expenditure. They - like all clubs - enter into rider contracts based on those financial projections. When those budget projections have a huge mid-season hole driven into them by a combination of lower attendance income (especially on TV meetings) and the different race night and lost main sponsorship funding due to liquidation (it was £35k btw but there may have been a small payment made in order to retain the branding til the end of the season?!!) then it will have a major impact on the club's bottom line. With MF no longer living in UK he clearly wants to ensure that co-promoter son Danny has a sustainable business to take responsibility for rather than put him at financial risk. All remaining sponsors of which there are several - are fully supportive of the moves. The only thing I can see changing the intention to go Championship is if any new TV and /or sponsorship deal guarantees greater financial security and more fixtures.
-
plus returning to their preferred race night!!!

His business at weekends. It's all in the Star where you can get quite a bit of accurate info.
