No bumps or ruts now AORLOV. Craig Cook says it's lovely to race on. Don't worry though i'm sure we can disguise a few well positioned holes to upset Doyley an Batch etc. Ha ha
-
Obviously the wrong people then.
-
Not sure he started it at the track on Thursday but it was being talked about even though I had it from another reliable source that it wasn't so and have hinted so since it started.

Danny Ford confirms Ricky Wells returns on Monday having had treatment and rest for his shoulder injury. Awaits posts of apology....................
-
If Wells does not ride, which guests in particular would you have in mind on a horses for courses basis to make Poole stronger. His current average is 4.39
-
Gavan I don't know if Wells will ride Monday. I hope he does. However what I do know is that he rode 5 meetings in 5 days (1 Poole and 4xEdinburgh) where his scores got progressively worse because he knackered his shoulder again. He requested time off to get the intensive physio on his shoulder injury which allowed him to race again last night. Fact. However there was also a rumour at Poole on Thursday that he had asked to stand down from Premiership racing. Some people believe that to mean for the rest of the season. Others took it to mean only last week's meeting. We shall see come Monday. Incidentally THJ is missing from the Berwick lineup today due to a prior longtrack commitment!

I hear what you say but maybe the other young riders you refer to haven't had the concussion that Brady has had this year!! I'm not surprised if he's being a little more cautious in a brutal league up against the world's best. As for Jack he hasn't exactly been the saviour of Torun this year has he? Maybe they would both benefit from a season in the Polish first division rather than Ekstraliga? I well remember Middlo saying not to put too much pressure on them too soon as yhey are not the 'new' turbo twins.

It is on Thursday BUT only if top spot is still undecided from Monday's fixtures. And that is straight from the Promoter.
-
Agreed. The best 7-team top league around!! If they paid half as much as they do, they wouldn't lose any top riders, but there may be a trickle of top riders back to the UK.

Big decisions in November.

Ididn't say it was a bad thing to have speedway on TV - I said LIVE speedway has done nothing to attract improved attendances. A highlights or magazine-type programme every week could include the best action from any track - Prem or Championship. If clubs were then allowed to show that footage on every club website and social media platforms after it had appeared on screen, thats the best of both worlds. -
So what? I think any rider of his age and experience is going to struggle when paired at 2 with Emil, notwithstanding who the heat leaders are in the opposition team?! Not quite sure what it has to do with the Poole 2019 thread either?!
-
Its definitely happening after the play-offs. Told so by the promoters on Thursday. Also if the KL v Poole Prem meeting is also deferred, I believe it'll be the intention to hold both in the same week in October with both promotions offering some form of extra incentives to attend.

What is the attraction of a 5-year TV deal if it gives nothing (or very little) to the clubs in financial terms? Yes some may argue that being on TV increases the sponsorship opportunities for the league and clubs but that has not exactly been a roaring success over the years has it? Showing live meetings may be good for TV sports audience figures but its doing nothing for increasing paid-for attendances. Some form of recorded filming on social media and You-tube etc would still give riders the sponsorship exposure. -

Did you mean fined?! -
Ipswich's preview for Monday's meeting at Poole has Wells at 7.
-
It doesn't! Surely any Championship guest for Wells would be up to 4.39 x 1.5 = 6.59? It makes me smile when Wells gets all this stick by riding for Edinburgh this evening but MPT misses last night's meeting, is replaced by Bomber yet rides for Redcar tonight!!!?

If its good enough for Cook - as he tweeted - then that'll do for me. -

Well said Stevehone. Middlo's testimonial was announced by Matt Ford as being the first meeting of 2020. -
We need them all on their best form!

So with someone from Peterborough suggesting that Buster said he expected the top league to have 10 teams in 2020, who will stay up and who will come up? Somerset are definitely considering returning to a top league structure. Panthers are saying they want to stay?! Thoughts -
He dropped his only point to Riss and beat Harris once and Cook 3 times, as well as setting his new fastest time of the season in heat 4. and getting Rider of the Night! Both his and Brady's Swedish teams are out of their play-offs so should cut down on their travel considerably. Great to see Chris Holder and Max there too last night.
-
Game suitably upped I guess!!

Crikey. I thought the track was a little bit iffy again last night, so I guess its all down to what mood the riders are in. Cook rode well and looked fast all night but so did Holder and Klindt. Harris was either very quick or very slow, not helped by obvious machine issues (which I hope he hasn't fixed by Monday!). Not sure what referee Ronnie Allen was on?? All everyone wants is a bit of consistency with decisions!
