Polish Extraleague 2020

Enjoyed that. More for the come back than the racing, though Zagar was sublime. -

Of course. I have been in direct talks with the PZM and have told them in no uncertain terms that the standard of racing this season has been unacceptable. Swalamir Krazprcynski, secretary to the president of PZM has stated that they are doing all they possibly can to rectify the issues “of crap racing” and have apologised to me personally for the sub standard tracks, and efforts put in by certain riders. I have been assured that I will notice a certain rise in standard of racing for the remainder of the season and if I am dissatisfied, can expect a full refund of my subscription to Goldvod.. -
No he won’t but he certainly seems to come on a hell of a lot since his feeble effort at Ipswich last year. Lambert should have been strong enough to put up a proper fight in heat 15 tonight. I would expect Zmarzlik to have forced himself by by the way he gave up his position to end up at the back was quite weak. He needs to improve his gating and toughen up otherwise he will be no more than a second string in the Extraleague. I am confident he can and will do better.

Although Jack Holder rode for Poole I can’t say I ever warmed to him. He never seemed devoted to the cause and certainly was no CH when riding for us. And he certainly let us down when it really mattered, showing little effort at Ipswich last year. Like Kurtz he seemed to vanish when the going got tough. Robert Lambert has clearly been the better rider over the last 2 seasons in the U.K. And this year Lambert has gone on to win the SEC which has projected him into the 2021 GP series. Fantastic for him and GB. So it should be easy to say Lambert has the world at his feet and could be the next Woffy. But watching the Extraleague in Poland, young holder seems to have stepped up a gear. He can gate, Lambert can’t. Well not as consistently. And I type this as Lambert just managed to hold off Zmarzlik for second place in an Extraleague meeting. His gating really needs to step up a gear if he is to be taken as a serious top flight rider. Has he got it in him? On the other hand Holder doesn’t seem to have the same gating issue and is often in a good position off the first bend. So who will have the more successful career? Hoping Lambert will push on further and leave Jack Holder behind. This is the future of the sport. Lambert, Holder, Chuganov, Thomson, Kubera, Drabik, plus Several others. Will Lambert join Woffy at the top? Will Holder be too good? Time will tell. Thoughts?

Yes it’s poor. Far worse than what we get in the U.K. where teams are better balanced. A shame but just better than nothing. -

NASCAR pit action is diabolical. High risk. They should follow F1 for safety. Good race there. -

Dull start, dull middle, and dull end. Crap meeting. -

No. It has been a proper borefest from heat one. Not one race where I thought, that was good! Rubbish meeting. -

He’s a gating tart. Fast bikes less skill. Full throttle jockey with big balls as he hasn’t yet had a smash. Let’s see where he is in two years. If he can get around Monmore in front of Thorsell and Howarth I will up my opinion. -

Disagree. Leszno look head and shoulders over every other team and this will continue for seasons to come unless there are rule changes. This year has already been rendered a farce. There’s only one winner in 2020 and it’s the same as the last few seasons. -

Utterly dull meeting in what should have been a thriller. Poor Dave Goddard having to work to make this sound exciting. The Poles have got it badly wrong allowing teams to build to whatever strength they want, with two u21s at reserve. Leszno are just too dominant, to the detriment of the sport in Poland. -

Ljung charged under him and took his line. Rightly excluded. -

Ref Gardel with no mask talking to the managers. That was one of the worst crashes I have witnessed in many years. Perhaps as bad as the Dryml smash at Oxford. Fingers crossed for Ljung. -

Sweden have had very different rules about Covid from the start. -

Ljung hit the lamp post. Very bad one. Hope he is ok. -
Pawlicki was rested for a meeting just before the playoffs by Rossiter so it made sure he was at reserve for the playoffs and retained his average. Clear and deliberate manipulation which was Stated to be “in the rules’ but stank the sport out. As many promotions were voicing anger at the manipulation at the time, this loophole was always going to be closed.
