  1. Makes no difference. It reflects directly off Swindon Speedway!
  2. This happened to a Poole bus this season. Car park hitler told them they couldn’t park in the car park!
  3. Gavan even thinks the meeting is tonight. What a complete know-nothing!
  4. He’s not worthy of a response. He posts knowing exactly what you have just said. He can’t help himself. He has to respond regardless!
  5. Yes it would be a remarkable achievement if we were to retain the title this season. Certainly massive underdogs against those two teams. We should see off Ipswich but that’s about it. Every speedway fan bar the other teams fans would be cheering us on to a shock win as we are the underdogs this season.
  6. Absolutely correct. Riders don’t turn up to play safe and come through unscathed. They turn up to score as many points as possible. More points - more money. All meetings are the same.
  7. Harris guesting swings it Lynns way completely. But it’s fair enough. Swindon got the luck this time around with Proctor. Be interesting to see if they do chose us or Ipswich.
  8. If Chapman doesn’t doctor the track we could have a decent meeting. Poole need to win to finish top. Not one of our favourite tracks but we did get a result there at the start of the season.
  9. Does Gavan go out of his way to spew utter guff? Post after post of it all saying the same ad nauseous. Has mentioned me in about every post! The bloke needs help!
  10. Good interview this morning on Talksport radio with Tai. Go to 9.32am https://talksport.com/radio/listen-again/1568696400/1568709000/
  11. Lawson moved. We all saw it. Ref correct with warning. In fact I don’t believe the ref made one wrong call except not pulling back the rolling King in one heat. Heeps rightly excluded, Iversen rightly excluded though at the time and from where we stand it looked like Josh had knocked him off. Replays proved otherwise.
  12. No way Harris would have got by Klindt with Nicolai on the high and wide line. Kept him honest but no way would he have got around him and certainly not under him at that stage of the meeting. Klindt is currently our best and most consistent rider. Been excellent. Allen was poor. One good ride. Expected better but he was over riding. Ipswich were well beaten last night regardless of no t/r. And no T/Rs allowed in the playoffs.
  13. It’s not a playoff meeting. I am talking about Lynn v Poole on Thursday.
  14. Thought the ref was spot on in all his calls except letting King get away with a roller.
  15. No getting away from it not being bumpy as I made a comment on it at the track in heat 2. Track staff need to blade off the inside of bend one. On the outside of the bend it’s smooth.
  16. More likely Becker or Douglas. Both are on fire. Don’t think it matters now to be honest. Rather see Swindon or Wolves next week.
  17. Flattered Poole? We were pretty dominant to be honest and a 16 point win would have been fair. Ipswich got lucky with the chain coming off. But to be frank neither Poole or Ipswich will be challenging Swindon or Wolves this year.
  18. Just got back. Very easy win for Poole tonight. Should have been by 16 but for Klindt’s chain coming off when he was well clear. Ipswich just didn’t really threaten and but for the fact that both Kurtz and Holder had shockers it would have been a rout. I agree with the fact that the track was bumpy on the first bend. Just don’t understand it. They sorted it out but it’s come back tonight with a vengeance. I would like to know why. The way they grade? Subsidence? All very peculiar. Needs to be sorted again though before next season. We all thought it strange that Hawkins never used a t/r. If you are in it you need to at least try and win it, though I guess his thinking is that there are no t/Sr in the playoffs so give all riders their quota. Josh G certainly the rider of the night though with balls to the walls racing. Closely followed by Klindt who was excellent value. Special mention to our reserves who were much improved, ably backed up by Covatti. Our top two were poor. With Swindon winning tonight and getting all 4 points it looks like they will top the table. Rumour tonight was they could well pick us. Rather that than see Ipswich again next week and much closer to travel for the second leg.
  19. Next season is 8 team top flight. Eurosport. And they are paying for it. Not Sky type money but more than BT pay.
  20. Mixing desk and making sure feed is working. However, It looks like Eurosport with 8 team league next season.
  21. Smallest crowd I have ever seen here. Terrible. Track is looking good. Had a chat with Tatum and he liked what he saw. He thinks Swindon v Poole semi final. Think this is going to be a close one.
  22. The English Football League have a system called ifollow. https://www.efl.com/iFollow Choose your team, choose the match, then pay £2.50 for a audio stream or £10 for a video stream. Speedway could easily follow this format and make far more money that BT pay for the privilege. It’s clear being on TV doesn’t increase attendances, whether the cameras are there or not. Streaming with local geoblocking is the way to go. A 2 camera setup needs three people at a meeting. Very easy to do.
  23. Jealousy is the tribute mediocrity pays to genius.
  24. It makes a change to go into the playoffs rated 3rd out of the 4 teams. I think the only way we can make the final is to finish top. If we meet Swindon or Wolves in the semi final our season is likely to end there. We can’t compete with Wolves strength at reserve. Both ride like heat leaders around Wimborne Road. They would probably win both legs.
