He's just said he will think about next season during the winter months. -
OK only 30 minutes now before the start of the final GP of 2006. A very important meeting for quite a few riders, who want to make sure they are in the top 8 by the end of the meeting. Lets hope the track is not too slick and produces some great racing. BRING IT ON!

MR Andrey, as a regular to this track, is it always that slick with no dirt?

Well Done Lindback
Steve Shovlar replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Next year. This is Hancocks swansong and he rode well in the final. But he is about 16 years older than Lindback and that's a lot of experience. Antonio is now showing all his doubters his real talent and the reason I for one think he will be world champion in the non too distant future. On a track he wouldn't have felt happy on, he knuckled down and gave his best performance to date in a GP. Hancock was never going to get him if he had stayed low but was obviously worried about Hancock around the outside. Lack of experience caused him to move out and Hancock took his chance. Twice in two weeks he has lost the final due to reruns. Last week he was clear when Lindgren lifted and Zabik in third, then tonight well clear when Pedersen fell. At least tonight he gated again, but never managed the lead he had in the first run of the final. Still, top 8 now and riding well. Should make next years GP series without having to hope for a wild card. -
Forgot to mention that Hancock shouldn't have even been in the final. In his semi it was clear to see that both wheels went over the white line on the second bend. Really suprised more wasn't made of it by Zagar.

Fist of all well done to Hancock. Fast bike in the final. Gutted for Antonio. Well clear in the first running and may have held on but for a fall. For the second time in a week Lindback has been leading a final for it to be called back. And for both times he has ended up as second. The lad grew into a man tonight in diabolical track conditions. Prefering deeper, grippier conditins, he buckled down and almost got his first GP win. It won'y be long now before it happens for him. The track though was a joke. Nice stadium, good crowd. but hang on a minute lads, we've forgotten to order the shale!! Oh well concrete it is then.

Tony Millard!

Trouble is there is only Millard and Pearson. And Pearson was running the football show on Talksport this afternoon, so no time to prepare. -

Totally atrocious tonight. Calling out the wrong riders in virtually every heat. The list of mistakes is just too long to bear. -

So whats the difference between the Pedersen/Sullivan incident and the Crump/Lindback one in the last GP? Same ref, same incident, different guy excluded. IMO the ref got it right tonight, but he did the opposite last time. Inconsistent. -
Totally true. Track conditions at the GP and at Poole didn't even compare. Terry Russell spoke to me about this very topic a couple of weeks ago. He said that the farce caused real problems for the BSPA, with Sky very angry and he received a letter from them saying this was totally unacceptable. He said he he had been there the ELRC would have gone ahead. There is now a new system in place so that riders cannot dictate whether they are going to bother to ride or not. A second referee (adjudicator) will be present and the power to decide will not be with the riders.

The same page as the rule on first bend bunching. Is it missing out of your copy Bryn?
